Cyberpunk 2077 console commands for patch 2.5 via Cyber Engine Tweaks: how to enable it on PC, plus exact commands for money, perk and attribute points, items and more.

Cyberpunk 2077 console commands need a mod: the game has no built-in cheat console. On PC you install Cyber Engine Tweaks (CET), a free, open-source mod that adds an overlay where you type commands such as Game.AddToInventory("Items.money", 10000) for 10,000 eddies. CET supports Update 2.5: version 1.38.0 came out on October 22, 2026, the same day as the patch, and 1.38.1 followed on October 26 (checked October 28, 2026, 11:00 UTC).

This guide covers how to install and open CET, then gives the exact commands for money, perk points, attribute points, level, crafting components, ammo, teleporting and item codes. The commands come from the official CET wiki’s “Useful commands” page, run by the redmodding community. The item codes come from the “base ID” field on the Cyberpunk Wiki (Fandom). CET is a third-party mod: CD Projekt Red doesn’t make it or support it.

Quick answer: Cyberpunk 2077 console commands people use most

  • What you need: PC (Steam, GOG or Epic) with Cyber Engine Tweaks from its official GitHub. Not possible on PS5, Xbox or Switch 2.
  • Open the console: on first launch CET asks you to bind an overlay key. Press it in-game and open the Console tab.
  • Money: Game.AddToInventory("Items.money", 10000)
  • Perk points: PlayerDevelopmentSystem.GetInstance(Game.GetPlayer()):GetDevelopmentData(Game.GetPlayer()):AddDevelopmentPoints(3, gamedataDevelopmentPointType.Primary)
  • Attribute points: the same line with gamedataDevelopmentPointType.Attribute
  • Level: Game.SetLevel("Level", 60, 1)
  • Any item: Game.AddToInventory("Items.<base ID>", 1), for example Items.Preset_Silverhand_3516 for Johnny’s Malorian Arms 3516.
  • Back up your saves first. Commands write straight into your current save.

Does Cyber Engine Tweaks work with Cyberpunk 2077 2.5?

Yes. CET’s GitHub releases page lists these builds:

CET version Released (UTC) What it says
1.38.1 (latest) October 26, 2026, 01:28 Updated RED4ext.SDK and RTTIHelper
1.38.0 October 22, 2026, 12:57 “Supports Cyberpunk 2077 patch 2.5 (game version 3.0.88.46235). Earlier patches are no longer supported.”
1.37.1 September 28, 2025 Last build before 2.5 (patch 2.31)

Update 2.5 went live on Steam at 10:06 UTC on October 22, so CET was updated about three hours later. Steam’s news feed showed no newer Cyberpunk patch when we checked on October 28.

Game updates can break CET. The CET wiki says each CET version works with exactly one game version. When CD Projekt Red ships a hotfix (a 2.5.1, say), CET may stop loading or crash the game until its developers release a matching build. If that happens, check the releases page, or turn off auto-updates for the game until CET catches up. The 1.38.0 notes also say older game patches are no longer supported, so a 2.31 install needs CET 1.37.1, not the latest build.

How to install Cyber Engine Tweaks (PC only)

These steps follow the CET installation guide:

  1. Update the game to the latest version (2.5) and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.
  2. Download the cet_1_38_1.zip file (not the source code) from the GitHub releases page or CET’s official Nexus Mods page. Download it only from these two pages. On Windows, right-click the zip, open Properties and tick “Unblock” if a security notice shows.
  3. Unzip it into your game folder so the bin folder merges with the game’s. For Steam that’s usually C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonCyberpunk 2077. The mod ends up in binx64pluginscyber_engine_tweaks.
  4. Run the game in Windowed Borderless and switch off overlays that can block the console (Steam, Discord, GeForce Experience, Xbox Game Bar, RivaTuner/Afterburner).
  5. Start the game. A CET window asks you to pick an overlay key. Press the Hotkey button, press a key, and that key opens and closes the overlay from then on.

If nothing appears, check binx64pluginscyber_engine_tweakscyber_engine_tweaks.log. The troubleshooting page says a version mismatch shows up there as a warning, and that no log file at all usually means CET isn’t starting (a reinstall or an antivirus block). Your overlay keybind is saved in bindings.json in the same folder. CET also runs on Linux and Steam Deck through Proton with a DLL override, which the wiki explains separately.

Back up your saves before using commands

Commands change your current save directly, and some of them can’t be undone. Before you start:

  • Make a fresh manual save in the game.
  • Copy the save folder somewhere safe. On PC it’s usually %USERPROFILE%Saved GamesCD Projekt RedCyberpunk 2077. Paste that into File Explorer’s address bar to open it.
  • Test big changes (levels, attributes, quest facts) on a copy of your save first, and keep cloud sync in mind: a broken save can sync over a good one.

Cyberpunk 2077 money command (eddies)

Eurodollars are an inventory item with the code Items.money, so the money cheat is an item command:

Command What it does Caveats
Game.AddToInventory("Items.money", 10000) Adds 10,000 eddies Change the number for a different amount. Commands are case-sensitive
Game.AddToInventory("Items.money", 1000000) Adds 1,000,000 eddies Same command, bigger number. A huge balance makes every vendor trivial, so add what you need

Perk points and attribute points commands

Update 2.0 rebuilt the skill system, and the old Game.GiveDevPoints and Game.SetAttribute commands from 1.x guides don’t work any more. The CET wiki lists these 2.x versions instead. Each is one long line: paste it whole.

What you want Command
Add 3 perk points PlayerDevelopmentSystem.GetInstance(Game.GetPlayer()):GetDevelopmentData(Game.GetPlayer()):AddDevelopmentPoints(3, gamedataDevelopmentPointType.Primary)
Add 5 attribute points PlayerDevelopmentSystem.GetInstance(Game.GetPlayer()):GetDevelopmentData(Game.GetPlayer()):AddDevelopmentPoints(5, gamedataDevelopmentPointType.Attribute)
Set Body to 15 PlayerDevelopmentSystem.GetInstance(Game.GetPlayer()):GetDevelopmentData(Game.GetPlayer()):SetAttribute("Strength", 15)
Set character level to 60 Game.SetLevel("Level", 60, 1)

In the attribute command, Body is called "Strength", the game’s internal name. The other attributes use their internal stat names from the game’s reflection data (as published in the RED4ext SDK): "Reflexes", "TechnicalAbility", "Intelligence" and "Cool". Change the number at the end to the value you want. Many players prefer adding unspent points over setting attributes directly, because you then spend them in the normal menu.

Building a specific playstyle with those points? Our Cyberpunk 2077 dual wield build lists the Double Trouble perks and pistols that 2.5 added.

Crafting components, quickhack components and ammo

These come from the “Frequently required items” list on the CET wiki. Change the last number for a different amount.

Item Command
Common / Uncommon / Rare / Epic / Legendary crafting components Game.AddToInventory("Items.CommonMaterial1", 1000), then UncommonMaterial1, RareMaterial1, EpicMaterial1, LegendaryMaterial1
Uncommon / Rare / Epic / Legendary quickhack components Game.AddToInventory("Items.QuickHackUncommonMaterial1", 1000), then QuickHackRareMaterial1, QuickHackEpicMaterial1, QuickHackLegendaryMaterial1
Handgun ammo Game.AddToInventory("Ammo.HandgunAmmo", 500)
Rifle ammo Game.AddToInventory("Ammo.RifleAmmo", 700)
Shotgun ammo Game.AddToInventory("Ammo.ShotgunAmmo", 100)
Sniper rifle ammo Game.AddToInventory("Ammo.SniperRifleAmmo", 100)

Cyberpunk 2077 item codes: how to find them

Every item has a base ID. Put Items. in front of it and use it in Game.AddToInventory. The redmodding spawn codes guide recommends the easiest way to find one: search the item on the Cyberpunk Wiki (Fandom) and open the technical details in the info box on the right. For example, the Reinforced Puffer Vest’s base ID is Vest_17_basic_01, so the command is Game.AddToInventory("Items.Vest_17_basic_01", 1).

Some well-known iconic items, with base IDs checked against the Cyberpunk Wiki and the CET wiki on October 28, 2026:

Item Type Command
Malorian Arms 3516 (Johnny Silverhand’s) Iconic pistol Game.AddToInventory("Items.Preset_Silverhand_3516", 1)
Replica of Johnny’s Samurai Jacket Jacket Game.AddToInventory("Items.SQ031_Samurai_Jacket", 1)
Archangel (Kerry Eurodyne’s) Iconic revolver Game.AddToInventory("Items.Preset_Overture_Kerry", 1)
Satori (Saburo’s) Iconic katana Game.AddToInventory("Items.Preset_Katana_Saburo", 1)
Kongou (Yorinobu’s) Iconic pistol Game.AddToInventory("Items.Preset_Liberty_Yorinobu", 1)
Skippy Iconic pistol Game.AddToInventory("Items.mq007_Skippy", 1)
Erebus Iconic SMG (Phantom Liberty) Game.AddToInventory("Items.Preset_Borg4a_HauntedGun", 1)

Some items have several base IDs. Skippy, for example, also has Preset_Yukimura_Skippy and Preset_Yukimura_Skippy_PostQuest variants. Cyberware such as Mantis Blades also has one ID per tier (AdvancedMantisBladesEpic, AdvancedMantisBladesLegendary and so on). Erebus comes from the Phantom Liberty quest This Corrosion, so only spawn it if you own the expansion. Never type an ID you saw in a random video or forum post without checking it: a wrong or outdated ID won’t give you the item you want.

For the full list, the CET wiki links a community spreadsheet of 2.x console commands kept by the redmodding Discord’s #cet-support channel.

Teleport and other useful commands

Command What it does
print(Game.GetPlayer():GetWorldPosition()) Prints V’s current coordinates in the console
Game.GetTeleportationFacility():Teleport(GetPlayer(), ToVector4{x=X, y=Y, z=Z, w=1}, ToEulerAngles{roll=0, pitch=0, yaw=0}) Teleports V to the X, Y, Z coordinates you put in

The CET wiki also lists quest “fact” commands, for example one listed under “Secret Ending”. It gives a clear warning with them: there is currently no way to trigger or fix stuck quests from the console. Changing quest facts is the easiest way to break a save, so only try them on a backup.

Can you use console commands on PS5 or Xbox?

No. CET is a Windows mod (it also runs through Proton on Linux and Steam Deck), and there is no cheat console on PlayStation, Xbox or Switch 2. Consoles did get official mod support in Update 2.5 through mod.io, but only mods from a curated list, and saves with mods enabled can’t earn trophies. Our guide to Cyberpunk 2077 console mods on PS5 and Xbox covers that.

Cyberpunk console commands not working? Common fixes

  1. The overlay doesn’t open: turn off other overlays and run the game in Windowed Borderless. If you forgot your key, delete bindings.json in the CET folder and CET asks again.
  2. It stopped after a game update: the game is probably newer than your CET build. Wait for a CET release that names the new patch.
  3. “Nothing happens” after a command: check capitals and quotes (commands are case-sensitive) and that you copied a 2.x command, not a 1.x one.
  4. A crash on startup: reinstall CET cleanly as the troubleshooting page describes, and update Windows and your graphics driver.

FAQ

Does Cyberpunk 2077 have cheats?

Not officially. There are no built-in cheat codes or developer console. On PC, the free Cyber Engine Tweaks mod adds a console where you can type commands for money, items, perk points and more.

How do I get perk points with console commands in Cyberpunk 2077?

With CET installed, open the Console tab and paste PlayerDevelopmentSystem.GetInstance(Game.GetPlayer()):GetDevelopmentData(Game.GetPlayer()):AddDevelopmentPoints(3, gamedataDevelopmentPointType.Primary). Change 3 to the number of perk points you want. Use gamedataDevelopmentPointType.Attribute instead for attribute points.

Is Cyber Engine Tweaks safe?

CET is open source under the MIT license, and its code and releases are public on GitHub. Download it only from its official GitHub or Nexus Mods page, back up your saves, and expect it to stop working for a while after each game patch.

What is the Cyberpunk 2077 money cheat?

Game.AddToInventory("Items.money", 10000) adds 10,000 eddies. Change the number for any amount.
