MM2 Halloween 2026 starts today, Sunday, October 18, at 19:00 UTC. That’s 12:00 p.m. PDT, 3:00 p.m. EDT and 8:00 p.m. in the UK. It runs until November 16 at 18:00 UTC, according to the official Roblox event listing posted by Nikilis, the creator of Murder Mystery 2. The listing is called “Halloween 2026” with the subtitle “A retro Halloween 🎃”. It doesn’t list any content yet.
Players are already queuing up. Murder Mystery 2 had about 364,000 people online at 17:45 UTC, roughly double its Sunday morning count. Below you’ll find the start time for your time zone, what’s officially confirmed, what last year’s event included and what to do first. Everything was checked on October 18, 2026 at 17:50 UTC. We’ll add an update to this post once the event is live and the contents can be checked.

MM2 Halloween 2026 start time in every time zone
The official listing gives the start as 19:00 UTC on October 18 and the end as 18:00 UTC on November 16. The table converts both times. Clocks change during the event: the UK and most of Europe go back an hour on October 25, and the US and Canada on November 1. That’s why the end times below are in winter time.

The listing is a schedule, not a countdown. Roblox updates only go out when the developer publishes them, so the new version could arrive a few minutes early or late. Last year the Halloween 2025 listing said 18:00 UTC, and Nikilis announced “11am” Pacific on X the day before, which is the same time.
What’s officially confirmed about MM2 Halloween 2026
So far there’s only one official source, the Roblox event listing. Nikilis’s X account (@NikilisRBX) hadn’t posted about Halloween 2026 when we checked, and the Murder Mystery 2 game description doesn’t mention the event. Here’s what’s confirmed and what isn’t:
| Detail | Status | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Event name: “Halloween 2026” | Confirmed | Roblox event listing |
| Subtitle: “A retro Halloween 🎃” | Confirmed | Roblox event listing |
| Start: Oct 18, 19:00 UTC | Confirmed | Roblox event listing |
| End: Nov 16, 18:00 UTC | Confirmed | Roblox event listing |
| Type: new content update, hosted by Nikilis | Confirmed | Roblox event listing (category “new content”) |
| Battle pass, mystery box, prices | Not announced | The listing has no description |
| New map, lobby or game mode | Not announced | Nothing official yet |
| New Godlies, Chromas or event codes | Not announced | Nothing official yet |
| Reward for being online at launch | Unknown for 2026 | Only announced for Halloween 2025 |
The listing’s only image is a nighttime courtyard. It has wooden crates with pumpkins and knives on them, a gravestone, a jack-o’-lantern candy bucket and boarded-up shop windows, all in a plain, older-looking art style. That fits the “retro” subtitle. Nikilis hasn’t explained what “retro” means, though. It could be a returning classic map or just the look of the event, and we won’t guess until the update is out.
What past MM2 events included (the pattern, not a promise)
The official Roblox listings for Murder Mystery 2’s recent seasonal events show what Nikilis usually ships. Use this to plan your coins, not as a list of what’s coming:
| Event | Dates (UTC) | What the official listing promised |
|---|---|---|
| Summer 2025 | Jul 20 to Aug 31, 2025 | 25-tier battle pass, new mystery box, new Evo item, new map and lobby |
| Halloween 2025 (“Aliens have invaded MM2!”) | Oct 18, 18:00 to Nov 17, 2025 | New battle pass, new mystery box, new game pass set, new map and lobby |
| Christmas 2025 | Dec 14, 2025 to Jan 19, 2026 | 30-tier battle pass and a Christmas box (600 coins each), snow tokens, daily quests, the Ski Village map with a Snowball Fight mode, 4 crafting recipes |
| Valentine’s 2026 | Feb 13 to Mar 16, 2026 | A daily challenge and a Valentine’s mystery box |
| Summer 2026 | Jul 23 to Aug 23, 2026 | Summer lobby and map, a mystery box, a Godly item pack, rewards for opening boxes |

Every big seasonal update in the last year has come with a new mystery box, and the Halloween and Christmas updates both had a battle pass. When the summer update launched, Nikilis posted that the game had hit a record 1.1 million concurrent players, and added: “we still have an even bigger update planned”. He didn’t say which update he meant, so don’t assume it’s this one.
What to do first when MM2 Halloween 2026 goes live
- Sign up on the event page now. Open the Halloween 2026 event on Roblox and sign up for it, as Nikilis asked players to do last year, so Roblox reminds you when it starts. Last year Nikilis said that “everyone who’s there during the event launch” would get a special reward. Nothing like that has been announced for 2026, but being online at 19:00 UTC can’t hurt.
- Save your coins tonight. If this event follows the Christmas 2025 pattern, the battle pass and the mystery box will cost coins. They were 600 each at Christmas, but Halloween 2026 prices aren’t known. Don’t spend your coins on old boxes just before the update.
- Expect busy servers at launch. MM2 servers hold 12 players, and about 364,000 people were already online before the start. If a server is full or joining fails, wait a minute and try again. You don’t need to rejoin over and over.
- Read the in-game event menu first. The real rules come from the game itself: how you earn the event currency, the battle pass tiers and the box contents. We’ll add them here once they’re confirmed.
- Don’t rush. The event runs for about four weeks, until November 16. Unless a reward is clearly marked as time-limited, you don’t have to finish it on the first night.
- Ignore “free Godly” offers. Videos and sites that promise leaked items, free Godlies or event codes before the launch aren’t official. MM2 codes and update news come from Nikilis’s own accounts. Never type your Roblox password into another site.

MM2 Halloween 2026 leaks: what to believe
Fan “leaks” of a new lobby, a witch NPC and a cutscene spread ahead of the launch. At least one guide site has since pointed to inconsistencies in that footage and called it fake. Rumors about a “Haunted House 2” map and a “Mystery Box 3” also come from fan speculation, not from Nikilis. We’re treating all of it as unconfirmed. The official event listing and the update itself are the only sources that count, and this post only uses them.
Other Roblox games have their own Halloween events running. Our Roblox Halloween events schedule has the start times for the biggest ones. We also have guides to the Evade Halloween 2026 event and its Wisps, the Steal an Egg Halloween Dimension and how to get Helperbot in Forsaken.
