The Butcher X Halloween runs Oct 24 to Nov 21 in Violence District: The Butcher’s chain, traps and perks, how to survive her, Candy packs and codes status.

Violence District’s Halloween update, The Butcher X Halloween, went live on Roblox on October 24, 2026 at 12:00 UTC and runs until November 21 at 13:00 UTC, according to the developer’s official event listing. It adds The Butcher, a new killer with a chain and steel traps, plus a Halloween event, a Ranked game mode, a new map, a new item, new perks, new skins and a UI overhaul. Below is the Butcher’s full kit, how to survive her, what’s in the Halloween store and what we could and couldn’t confirm. Everything was checked on October 25, 2026 at 19:30 UTC.

Quick answer

  • Event dates: October 24, 12:00 UTC (8 AM ET / 5 AM PT) to November 21, 13:00 UTC (8 AM ET / 5 AM PT), per the official Roblox event listing.
  • New killer: The Butcher. Her two skills are a chain (“Your Heart Is Mine”) and steel traps (“Tendons”). Her personal perks are Split the Pain, Bloodhound and Rotten Stench.
  • First balance change: on October 25, traps were nerfed so they can no longer be placed near hooks and generators, according to the fan wiki’s patch notes.
  • Halloween currency: Candy is back. The game now sells Candy packs and “Skip Tier” products, so this year’s event has a tier-based reward track.
  • Codes: Violence District still has no code system. Any “working codes” list for this game is fake.

Violence District Halloween 2026: start and end times

The developer group VIOLENCE DISTRICT (verified, about 703,000 members) published the event on the official Roblox game page. The game’s title changed to “[BUTCHER x 🎃] Violence District”. The listing’s own description is short: “new spooky content update.” It promises nine things: The Butcher, a Halloween event, a Ranked game mode, a UI overhaul, a new map, a new item, new perks, new skins and quality-of-life changes.

Time zone Started Ends
UTC Sat Oct 24, 12:00 Sat Nov 21, 13:00
US Eastern Sat Oct 24, 8:00 AM (EDT) Sat Nov 21, 8:00 AM (EST)
US Pacific Sat Oct 24, 5:00 AM (PDT) Sat Nov 21, 5:00 AM (PST)
UK Sat Oct 24, 1:00 PM (BST) Sat Nov 21, 1:00 PM (GMT)

The end time sits one hour later in UTC than the start time. That’s because the US and UK clocks go back in between, so the local end times match the local start times.

The update brought a huge rush of players. BloxRadar’s tracker logged a peak of 232,865 players (two-hour average) on launch day, up from about 73,000 the day before. When we checked on Sunday evening, about 76,000 people were playing, and the game had passed 1.62 billion visits.

The Butcher: abilities, stats and perks

The Butcher is the second original killer in Violence District and the second female killer, per the Violence District fan wiki. Her page was created on October 24 and quotes her in-game text. Her in-game backstory points to an old slaughterhouse where “someone has been working the hooks again.” The game is still in alpha, so expect these numbers to change.

Base stats

Stat Value (fan wiki)
Base speed 18.7 studs/s (110%)
Lunge 27 studs/s for 0.6 s
Intent (terror) radius 100 studs

Skill 1: Your Heart Is Mine (chain)

  • She winds up and throws a chain that can hook a survivor up to 50 studs away.
  • A chained survivor is Silenced and can’t get far from her. The chain wraps around objects and has tension. Breaking free takes 7 seconds.
  • After 5 seconds, if the chain is tight, she can recast to interrupt whatever the survivor is doing and pull them toward her, up to 3 times. The third pull stuns them for longer and breaks the chain. Pulling someone mid-vault also stuns them for longer.
  • Cooldown: 15 seconds.

Skill 2: Tendons (steel traps)

  • Setting a trap takes 2.5 seconds. It is armed as soon as it touches the floor. She holds up to 2 traps, and each one comes back after 45 seconds.
  • A survivor who steps in a trap is injured, stuck in place and revealed to her.
  • Escaping on your own takes 20 seconds of special skill checks. Each “great” cuts 1 second, and a miss cancels the attempt and reveals you again. A teammate can free you in 7 seconds.
  • Survivors can disarm a set trap in 5 seconds.
  • Oct 25 nerf: traps can no longer be placed near hooks and generators.

The Butcher’s personal perks

Perk What it does (tier values) Counter
Split the Pain When she’s stunned, the survivor responsible is stunned for 11/22/33% of that duration. Every survivor in her intent radius is Silenced for 10/20/30 s, and their auras show for 3/4/5 s. While equipped, Silenced also pauses item recharge. 30 s cooldown. Spread out before a pallet stun, and don’t save a stun for when your whole team is nearby
Bloodhound She starts with 1 token (max 5). Every 55/50/45 s, if anyone is injured, she spends a token to see the farthest injured survivor for 5 s. She gains tokens by hitting or chaining survivors. Walking over a blood pool shows her who left it for 2 s (every 15 s). Heal early, and don’t run back through your own blood trail
Rotten Stench Each hit gives a 10% repair penalty for 30/45/60 s. The first good skill check in that window plays a unique sound and reveals your aura for 6 s. After a hit, wait out the timer before repairing, or repair far from her

How to survive The Butcher: what to do first

These tips come straight from her listed mechanics. They aren’t tested strategies, and the meta is only a day old.

  1. Break line of sight early. The chain reaches 50 studs and needs a wind-up. Tall walls and corners are safer than open grass.
  2. Use the environment against the chain. The chain wraps around objects. Wiki editors note that a Butcher can wrap it around a pillar or tree to pull you in for a free hit. If you’re chained, don’t run in circles around cover. Spend the 7 seconds breaking free while she’s still far away.
  3. Disarm traps you find. It takes 5 seconds, and she only holds two. Clearing one near a loop you plan to use saves a teammate later.
  4. Team up on trapped survivors. A teammate frees you in 7 seconds instead of 20. Since the Oct 25 nerf, traps shouldn’t appear right next to hooks or generators.
  5. Respect Split the Pain. A pallet stun can backfire if she runs it: you get stunned too, and the whole team gets Silenced and revealed. Don’t drop pallets with three teammates nearby.
  6. Heal before you repair. Bloodhound tracks injured survivors and Rotten Stench slows repairs after a hit. Healthy survivors take away most of her tracking.

Still new to the game? Survivors repair generators to power the exit gates while one killer hunts them. Pallets are your main way to stun the killer. That makes Split the Pain a big deal in this update.

Halloween event: Candy, Skip Tier and the new packs

The developer hasn’t posted written patch notes on Roblox. Its store did change, though. Roblox’s public product data for the game lists these Robux products as on sale (checked Oct 25, 19:30 UTC):

Product Price
400 Candy 80 Robux
2,000 Candy 320 Robux
4,800 Candy 640 Robux
14,500 Candy 1,600 Robux
Skip 1 / 2 / 3 Tiers 149 / 279 / 399 Robux
Butcher Pack 449 Robux
Street Pack 299 Robux

Two things follow from that list. First, Candy is the Halloween currency again. Second, the “Skip Tier” products mean this year’s event has tiered rewards that you climb by playing. The product data doesn’t list what the Butcher Pack or Street Pack contain, so check the in-game store before you buy anything. You never need Robux to play the event.

Showcase videos posted on launch day, like this “Everything NEW” breakdown, show a Halloween Shop, the Ranked mode, new perks, the new item and skins, and the new map. In 2025, Candy came from pumpkins scattered across every map. Survivors smashed them for 5 Candies each and spent them in a Halloween Shop where killer skins and emotes cost 50 Candies, according to the fan wiki’s Candies page. That shop ran October 31 to November 14, 2025. We haven’t found a written source yet for how Candy drops in 2026, so we’re not listing rates or prices. Treat 2025’s pumpkins as a hint, not a rule.

Ranked mode, the new map and the new item

The official listing confirms a Ranked game mode, a new map, a new survivor item, new perks and new skins. Launch-weekend videos already show ranked matches. No written source has explained ranks, rewards or matchmaking yet, and neither wiki had named the new map or item when we checked. We’ll add those details once the developer posts them or the wikis document them. The developer’s announcements go out through the official Violence District Discord, which the fan wiki points players to.

Violence District codes (October 2026)

There are no codes in Violence District. The developer has never announced a code system, the official game page mentions none, and the unofficial violence-district.wiki codes page says the game has no redemption menu (checked Oct 25, 2026). Ignore “code” videos and script pages. Many offer exploits that break Roblox’s rules and can get your account banned. Free rewards in this event come from playing matches.
