There are no working MM2 codes right now. We checked on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 10:30 UTC, against Nikilis’s official X account, the official Roblox game page and event listing, the Murder Mystery 2 wiki and five dated code trackers, and none of them has a code that two sources agree still works. The last real Murder Mystery 2 code came out in May 2019. What you can get for free this month comes from the Halloween 2026 event instead, and it runs until Monday, November 16 at 18:00 UTC.
MM2 is one of the busiest games on Roblox right now: about 492,000 people were playing at 10:14 UTC today, according to Roblox’s own game stats, and it has nearly 32 billion visits. That many players means a lot of fake “MM2 codes” pages. Here’s what is real.
Table of Contents
MM2 codes: quick answer
- Working codes: none (checked October 31, 2026, 10:30 UTC).
- Halloween 2026 codes: none. Nikilis’s only post since the update is the October 18 launch post, with no code in it.
- Last real code: COMB4T2 for the Combat II knife, released with the Season 1 update on May 25, 2019, according to the MM2 wiki.
- Did any code ever give a Godly? No. Every public code gave a Common or Uncommon knife or one Common pet.
- Free items instead: 500 bonus Candies a day from daily quests, up to 15 free Halloween Keys, three quest-only items and six Bingo rewards from Halloween 2026, which ends November 16 at 18:00 UTC.
Are there any working MM2 codes in October 2026?
No. A Roblox game’s codes come from its developer, and Nikilis (the creator of Murder Mystery 2) hasn’t posted one in years. This is what every source said when we checked on October 31:
| Source | Last updated | What it says |
|---|---|---|
| Nikilis on X (@NikilisRBX) | Last post Oct 18, 2026, 19:36 UTC | “Halloween 2026 has arrived”, no code. No code post in his recent timeline |
| Official Roblox game page | Game updated Oct 29, 18:03 UTC | No code; tells players to follow Nikilis’s pages for “free knife codes” |
| Official “Halloween 2026” event listing | Created Oct 18, 2026 | Description still empty: no code, no launch reward |
| MM2 wiki: Codes | Apr 30, 2025 | “There are no working codes right now.” |
| Roblox Den | Oct 31, 2026, 07:57 UTC | 5 old codes marked “Check” (not confirmed), 17 expired |
| Pocket Tactics | Oct 30, 2026 | “There aren’t any available at the moment” |
| Destructoid | Oct 22, 2026 | Lists FL4M (Flamingo knife) as working |
| Beebom | Oct 1, 2026 | No active codes, “the case for the entirety of 2025” |
Two entries need a closer look. Roblox Den’s five “Check” codes are SK00L, 2015, HW2017, COMB4T2 and PR1SM. That status means the site hasn’t confirmed them, and the wiki and every other list put all five under expired codes. Destructoid’s FL4M is the only “working” code anywhere, but it’s on one list only: Roblox Den marks FL4M as expired, and the wiki has neither the code nor a Flamingo knife. We only list a code as working when Nikilis posted it or at least two dated trackers agree, so FL4M stays off. Typing it in costs nothing if you want to try.

All old MM2 codes (expired)
These are every code on the wiki’s “Past Codes (Discontinued)” list, with the item each one gave. None of them works now, but the items still exist in old inventories and can be traded.
| Code | Reward | Rarity |
|---|---|---|
| F1RSTC0D3 | Gifted knife | Uncommon |
| R3PT1L3 | Reptile knife | Common |
| 2015 | 2015 knife | Common |
| PATR1CK | Patrick knife | Common |
| B4CK2SK00L | Skool knife | Common |
| G003Y | Goo knife | Common |
| N3XTL3V3L | TNL knife | Common |
| N3ON | Neon knife | Common |
| INF3CT3D | Infected knife | Common |
| PR1SM | Prism knife | Common |
| AL3X | Alex knife | Common |
| C0RL | Corl knife | Common |
| D3NIS | Denis knife | Common |
| SK3TCH | Sketchy knife | Common |
| SUB0 | Sub knife | Common |
| HW2017 | Pumpkin pet (Halloween 2017) | Common |
| COMB4T2 | Combat II knife (Season 1, 2019) | Common |
Trackers spell a few of them differently (N30N, G1FT3D, SK00L, TH3N3XTL3V3L), because the codes swap numbers in for letters. It doesn’t matter now: every version is expired. HW2017 is the only Halloween code MM2 ever had, and the wiki traces it to a Nikilis post from October 2017.
Why MM2 stopped giving out codes
Nikilis has never explained it publicly. The wiki’s Combat II page says that code’s release “was slightly delayed” because code weapons were often duped, and no new code has appeared since. Free rewards come through events instead. The official listings for recent updates show it: Christmas 2025 added a 30-tier battle pass and daily quests, Summer 2026 gave rewards for opening mystery boxes, and Halloween 2026 has the most free items of all.
How to redeem MM2 codes (if one ever drops)
The code box is still in the game, even with nothing to put in it. According to Beebom and Roblox Den:
- Open Murder Mystery 2 and wait for the lobby.
- Open your Inventory from the menu on the left.
- Type the code into the box in the bottom-right corner, exactly as written (numbers stand in for letters).
- Press Redeem.
A new code would show up first on Nikilis’s X account (@NikilisRBX), which is where HW2017 was posted. The wiki says some old codes also came through JD’s YouTube channel. A code that appears only on a random video or a “codes” site, with no post from Nikilis behind it, isn’t real.
Free MM2 Halloween 2026 rewards without codes
This is where the free items are this month. The official event listing, re-read today, still runs Halloween 2026 from October 18 at 19:00 UTC to November 16 at 18:00 UTC (10 a.m. PT, 1 p.m. ET), so about 16 days are left. Candies replace coins in every round while it’s on. The numbers below come from the MM2 wiki’s Halloween Event 2026 page (last edited today, 04:57 UTC), because Nikilis hasn’t posted patch notes. Our MM2 Halloween 2026 guide has the full 30-tier battle pass, box odds and sets.

| Free reward | What you do | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Battle pass tier 1 | Open the event menu | Zombie Plush emote, no Candies needed |
| Daily quests | Collect 60, 120 and 200 Candies (resets 08:00 UTC) | 220 + 110 + 170 = 500 bonus Candies a day |
| Event quests | Finish 15, 30 and 45 daily quests | Hexed, Pumpkin and Ghostly (effect) |
| Battle pass keys | Buy tiers with Candies (600 each) | 13 Halloween Keys on tiers 3 to 27, each opens one free Halloween Box |
| Bingo board | Finish rows or columns of 9 role challenges | 2 more Halloween Keys, Pumpkins, Flameburst, Bats, Witches Brew, Jack; Cauldron for the full board |
| Candy leaderboard | Be a top-100 Candy collector | Blue Emberbow trophy (Bronze, Silver, Gold for 3rd, 2nd, 1st) |
What to do first
- Claim tier 1 and start today’s three daily quests. They reset at 08:00 UTC (4 a.m. ET today, 3 a.m. ET from November 1, when US clocks go back).
- Do the daily quests every day. Counting today’s set, 17 sets are left before the end, and the Ghostly effect needs 45 quests (15 days). If you’re starting today, missing more than two days puts it out of reach.
- Spend Candies on tiers, not boxes. A tier costs 600 Candies, the same as a box, but 13 of tiers 2 to 29 hand you a key and the other 15 give an item. The 16,800 Candies for tiers 2 to 29 include all 13 keys.
- Save keys for the box. Each box roll has a 0.2% chance at the Embersickle Godly, per the wiki. 15 keys won’t make it likely, but it’s the only free route to a Godly in the event.
- Play some Infection rounds for the Sheriff-row Bingo challenge “shoot 16 zombies”.
A quick sum shows the pace: daily quests alone add 8,500 Candies over the 17 days left, about half the cost of tiers 2 to 29. The rest comes from picking up Candies in rounds. The last tier, the Emberbow Ancient, costs 100,000 Candies on its own, so most free players should stop at tier 29.
Unlike Halloween 2025, when Nikilis promised a special reward for being online at launch, nothing like that was announced for 2026. The only game pass on sale right now is the Mortal bundle (3,399 Robux), according to the game’s store list.
Free Godly generators and trading scams
Search “MM2 codes” and you’ll find sites promising “Godly codes”, “Chroma codes” or a free-Godly generator. These are scams. No MM2 code has ever given a Godly, and a generator can’t add items to your account. Sites like these want your Roblox password, a “verification” download or a survey, and some lead to stolen accounts.
- Never type your Roblox password anywhere except roblox.com or the app.
- Trade only through MM2’s in-game trade window, never “you go first” deals or trades moved to another game.
- Ignore “free Godly giveaways” that ask you to drop items first or join an outside server.
MM2 codes FAQ
Are there MM2 codes for Halloween 2026?
No. Nikilis’s only Halloween 2026 post is the October 18 launch post, and the official listing mentions no code (checked October 31, 10:30 UTC). The free Halloween items come from quests, keys and Bingo.
Do MM2 codes give free Godlies?
They never did. The best code reward ever was the Uncommon Gifted knife. Any “Godly code” is fake.
When does MM2 Halloween 2026 end?
Monday, November 16, 2026 at 18:00 UTC (10 a.m. PT, 1 p.m. ET, 6 p.m. UK), per the official listing. Our Roblox Halloween end dates list has every big game’s end time, and our Halloween weekend schedule covers what starts today and tomorrow.
Which Roblox games have codes that actually work?
Games that still post codes, like RIVALS, do. Our RIVALS codes page lists the current ones with check times. Like MM2, some big games have none at all; see our Steal an Egg codes page.
We’ll update this page if Nikilis posts a code or the event times change.
