The best landing spots in Fortnite Treasure Hunters depend on what you want from the first two minutes. Our picks: The $.$. Rocky for the boss and his Exotic, Loguetown for a fast central start, Lantern Landing for chests, and Arlong Park or Windmill Village for a safe start on the edge of Crossbones Isle. Below is every named POI on Epic’s season map, what’s at each one and who it suits (checked November 3, 2026, v43.00).
Map names come from Epic’s own Treasure Hunters update notes and its season map. NPC, vault and puzzle details come from player guides, and we name each one. The rankings are our own picks, not Epic’s.

Quick answer: best landing spots in Treasure Hunters
- Best for loot and a fight: The $.$. Rocky. A$AP Rocky is the season’s first boss and can drop his Shock Rocket and the Lil’ Flacko Sprite, according to Epic.
- Best central start: Loguetown. TechWiser reports two free Rifts there (Luffy and Usopp), and Destructoid places a vault in its underground aqueduct.
- Best for Treasure Chests: Lantern Landing, which Game Rant ranks near the top for chests. The Frog Statue puzzle is just south of it.
- Best for Sprites: any POI with a vault. Destructoid says every vault holds a guaranteed Sprite Chest. Busy Bay and Rubber Resort are its picks for finding Vault Keys.
- Safest starts: Arlong Park (west tip, Zoro’s Rift) and Windmill Village (south-west, a free Heavy Specialist hire), both per TechWiser.

Crossbones Isle map: every named POI
Crossbones Isle is built for 80-player matches, Epic says, so drops are less crowded than in a full 100-player lobby. Epic’s season map labels 12 places: Rubber Resort, The Chest, Loot Lagoon, Lil’ Uzi’s Stronghold, Lantern Landing, Arlong Park, Cursed Cavern, The $.$. Rocky, Loguetown, Windmill Village, Busy Bay and Plunder Port. Epic’s patch-note text also describes Baratie Bay (the floating restaurant), Crew’s Cove (a ship by a waterfall), Captain’s Cenote (a sinkhole pool up a mountain) and a fortress it calls Fort Fortuna. Player guides from TechWiser, Game Rant and Beebom call a northern fortress Fortune’s Fort, so expect slightly different names in-game than in the notes.

Best landing spots, ranked by what you want
1. The $.$. Rocky: the boss drop
This is the high-risk, high-reward pick. Epic’s notes say you can “step aboard and challenge A$AP Rocky as a Boss, then raid the deck for loot”, and that beating him can drop his Shock Rocket and the new Lil’ Flacko Sprite. The Shock Rocket is only in non-Competitive playlists, so don’t plan a ranked drop around it. TechWiser adds that Charlotte-Sensei, a Supply Specialist, stands on land next to the docked ship and can be hired for free. Epic made all follower services free this season because Gold Bars are vaulted. The boss spot is no secret, so land with a plan and grab a weapon before you board. For the full boss list, see our Fortnite bosses and Mythics guide.

2. Loguetown: the fast central start
Loguetown sits just south of the map’s centre, so the next circle is rarely far away. Epic calls it a “busy harbor town”. TechWiser reports that Luffy and Usopp both stand here and each gives a free Rift, so you can loot and then fly out toward the zone or away from a bad fight. Destructoid says Loguetown’s vault is in the town’s underground aqueduct. A central POI with a vault and two Rifts will draw squads, so this pick suits players who like early fights.
3. Lantern Landing: the Treasure Chest pick
Epic describes “a sprawling maze of lantern-lit streets” with several routes out. Game Rant calls it a relatively small area brimming with Treasure Chests. Beebom reports a Frog Statue puzzle at the Giant’s Battlefield landmark just south of it. Turn all three frog statues to face the middle structure and two rare chests spawn. That makes it our pick if you’re hunting the Pirate Shop Access token, which comes from Treasure Chests.
4. Arlong Park: the calm edge start
Arlong Park is on the western tip, a long glide from the middle. TechWiser reports Zoro stands here offering a free Rift, so you can loot in peace and Rift toward the action when you’re ready. Game Rant notes a “surprising amount” of Treasure Chests for its size. Destructoid’s vault map has no vault here. That keeps it quieter, but it also means no guaranteed Sprite Chest.
5. Windmill Village: the solo pick
Epic’s “quiet seaside village” sits in the south-west. TechWiser reports that Buccaneer Brigand Jones, a Heavy Specialist, stands just south of the name label and that Nami is on the beach further south with a free Rift. A free AI teammate from the first minute is a big deal in Solos. That’s why this is our solo pick.
6. The Chest: buried treasure
The small islet in the north-west is the buried-chest spot, according to Game Rant. Pair it with the Wayfinder Sprite, which Epic says “spawns extra loot from Buried Chests”, or Plundarrgh, which speeds up your pickaxe and movement after opening chests. There’s no vault here (Destructoid), so rotate to Rubber Resort or Lantern Landing afterwards.
7. Busy Bay and Rubber Resort: Vault Key farms
Destructoid recommends both for Vault Keys because they have a high number of guaranteed chest spawns per match. Keys turn up as rare chest loot, and once you hold one, the nearest locked vaults show on your map. Rubber Resort is also Epic’s resort with “its very own duck-shaped yacht”. Epic says Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto “take over the Island’s resort” on November 14, so expect it to get much busier that week. Rubber Resort is the only resort on Epic’s map.
8. Cursed Cavern and Loot Lagoon: quieter middle options
Game Rant calls Cursed Cavern, inside a hill east of the centre, a “relatively safe POI”. Destructoid’s favourite vault is at Loot Lagoon, in a secret area by the waterfall. It argues the hidden entrance means fewer players reach it. Both are good if you want to stay near the centre without landing on Loguetown’s rooftops.
Where to land for Sprites
Epic says Sprite Chests and Wanted Posters “appear across the Island in bigger numbers” this season. A torn-down Wanted Poster turns into a Sprite Treasure Map that leads to a buried Sprite Chest. So Sprites aren’t tied to one POI, but a few choices help:
- Land at a vault POI. Destructoid counts nine vaults, at most main regions except Arlong Park, The Chest and Plunder Port. Each has rare Treasure Chests and a guaranteed Sprite Chest.
- Bring Exmarks. Epic says it reveals nearby Treasure Maps and Wanted Posters and spawns a Treasure Map at max level.
- Drop on Mondays. Mastery Monday runs every Monday from 9 AM ET with 2x Sprite XP and 2x Sprite Dust all day, per Epic.
- Lil’ Flacko is a boss drop. It comes from A$AP Rocky at The $.$. Rocky.

Landing tips for Crossbones Isle
- Cannons are a second drop. Epic says you can climb into a cannon to launch yourself across the island. Land at a quiet edge POI, then cannon or Rift toward the circle.
- Chests refill. Epic’s notes say chests now refill over time, so a POI you cleared early is worth a second visit later.
- No Gold Bars, no Vending Machines. Gold Bars are vaulted and follower services are free, so an NPC hire costs nothing. Vending Machines are gone, though Pocket-O-Matics remain in Zero Build.
- Check the Captain’s Day calendar. New arrivals change which drops are hot. On November 7 Lil Uzi and Cuddle Team Leader “claim a fort of their own”, and Buggy and the Megalodon arrive. Miku and Teto take the resort on November 14, and Oscar sails in with his own ship on November 21. Each Captain’s Day also adds a new map fragment.

FAQ
What is the best landing spot in Fortnite right now?
Our pick is The $.$. Rocky if you want a fight: the A$AP Rocky boss can drop the Shock Rocket and the Lil’ Flacko Sprite. For a safer start, land at Arlong Park or Windmill Village on the west side of Crossbones Isle.
How many POIs are on the Treasure Hunters map?
Epic’s season map labels 12 named places, from Rubber Resort in the north-west to Busy Bay in the south-east. Epic’s notes also name smaller spots such as Baratie Bay, Crew’s Cove and Captain’s Cenote.
Where is Baratie Bay in Fortnite?
Epic’s notes and the in-game news tile name Baratie Bay, the floating restaurant, but it isn’t one of the 12 labels on Epic’s season map. Epic hasn’t shown where it sits on the map, so we don’t place it.
Do chests respawn in Fortnite Treasure Hunters?
Yes. Epic’s v43.00 notes say chests now refill over time, so you can open the same chest again after a while.
