What’s new in the October 15 update
Epic’s October 15 update added 17 new checklist entries, and they were live as of 2:30 AM PT / 5:30 AM ET, according to VICE. Here’s what dropped:
- Honey Sprite: sends bees after enemies who damage you.
- One Wish Willow Sprite (listed as the Obsession Sprite before release): helps you collect other Sprites.
- Both come with Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker, Bounty Hunter and Trick or Treat versions. That’s 12 entries.
- Five Quack variants: Quack Bush, Quack Adventure, Quack Jonesy, Quack Klombo and Quack Spooky Dash.
Quack was a Season 3 finish that shared Sprite XP with the other Sprites you carried. Epic hasn’t spelled out whether the new Quack versions work the same way, so treat them as collectibles first until that’s confirmed.

Fortnite Sprite checklist: every variant
Each Sprite has a Base version plus up to five finishes, and most finishes change how the Sprite works. By October 8 the season had 25 Sprites and 145 entries (VICE’s count). Today’s 17 additions bring that to 162.
| Variant | What it does | Entries |
|---|---|---|
| Base | The standard Sprite | 27 |
| Gold | Bonus Sprite XP from eliminations; weekend Power Hours have boosted their drop odds | 26 |
| Cheat Master | Opens Cheat Codes without entering the arrow sequence | 26 |
| Loot Hacker | Better odds of finding items from your Loot Hacks | 26 |
| Bounty Hunter | Can drop when you eliminate opponents; levels up from eliminations | 26 |
| Trick or Treat | Fortnitemares Halloween finish; Destructoid reports a chance at candy from chests and containers | 26 |
| Quack | New Oct 15: Bush, Adventure, Jonesy, Klombo and Spooky Dash only | 5 |
| Total | 162 | |
One thing to know: Mega Man has no variants at all. That’s why each finish has 26 entries, not 27.
Collector’s checklist, in order:
- ☐ All 27 Base Sprites
- ☐ Six free code Sprites (see the next section)
- ☐ Honey and One Wish Willow, all six versions each (new today)
- ☐ The five Quack variants
- ☐ Trick or Treat set (leaves with Fortnitemares on Oct 31)
- ☐ Bounty Hunter set (eliminations)
- ☐ Klombo and Crown variants (save these for last)

Free Sprites: Lobby Hack codes
This is the easiest win of the season. Pick Battle Royale, open the Admin Panel button in the top-right corner of the lobby, and type in a code. Capitalization doesn’t matter. These codes were checked against Pocket Tactics’ Lobby Hack list (updated October 10) on October 15, 2026:
| Code | Reward |
|---|---|
| GottaGoFast | Cheat Master Sonic Sprite |
| IWannaFlyHigh | Cheat Master Tails Sprite |
| 8BitBlast | Cheat Master 8-Bit Sprite |
| Born2Play | Cheat Master Adventure Sprite |
| Play4All | Cheat Master Jonesy Sprite |
| JonesyIsGolden | Gold Jonesy Sprite |
| GatherAndCraft | Cheat Master Bush Sprite (only after you finish Wrixel’s Get Crafty story quests) |
Redeem the Cheat Master ones first. Any Cheat Master Sprite lets you skip the arrow puzzle on Cheat Codes, so every Sprite after that comes faster. Lobby Hacks are an official Epic feature, so using them is completely fine.
How to get Sprites in Fortnite Override
Sprite Chests are gone this season. Here’s how Sprites actually show up now:
- Cheat Codes. Epic hides them across the island, “tucked into POIs and sprayed on walls,” per the v42.00 notes. Interact with one, enter the arrow sequence using your movement controls, and it frees a Sprite.
- Read the code color. Since the September 17 update, blue (Rare) and purple (Epic) codes can give a Sprite of any rarity. Purple has much better odds of a variant, and gold/orange (Legendary) codes guarantee a variant, Beebom reports. The longer you go without a new Sprite, the better your odds of a variant you don’t own yet.
- Use a Cheat Code Locator. This Gizmo points to the nearest Cheat Code. The code SurviveTheNight gives you two.
- Go high. Many Sprites spawn more often on high ground and in mountain areas. Killswitch shows up at night, Allthings.how notes.
- Other sources. Regular chests have a small chance to drop one. Players you eliminate drop the Sprites they carry, and Bounty Hunter variants can drop from eliminations.
- Extract it. A Sprite only joins your collection for good once it’s extracted. Use an Extraction Site or a Portable Extractor, or win the match. If you’re eliminated first, you lose it.
Once a Sprite is in your collection, you can summon it again with Sprite Dust. Mastering a Sprite cuts that summon cost in half.

Fortnitemares Sprites and where to find them
Spooky Dash, Vampire, The Deer (from 99 Nights in the Forest) and Dumpster Dive arrived with Fortnitemares on October 1. Honey and One Wish Willow followed today. According to Destructoid, you can find the Halloween Sprites by:
- Smashing Pumpkin Chests
- Entering spooky Cheat Codes
- Opening blue chests
- Fishing at gold fishing spots
- Catching them wandering around the island
Destructoid adds that all of these leave the loot pool when Fortnitemares and the season end on October 31.
The rarest Sprites: Klombo and Crown
Klombo has the lowest spawn rate in the game. To level it, you have to use Health or Shield consumables, so carry spare Minis just to feed it. VICE ranks Trick or Treat Klombo as the rarest Sprite of the season. Today’s Quack Klombo is now another one to chase.
Crown doesn’t level from normal play at all. It only levels when you win. Its finishes unlock through a chain of Victory Royales: VICE counts five wins in a specific order to reach Trick or Treat Crown. If you’re short on time, start the Crown chain now.
What to do first (two weeks left)
- Redeem the six Sprite codes above before your first match.
- Equip a Cheat Master Sprite so Cheat Codes open instantly.
- Drop on high ground, pop a Cheat Code Locator and open every code you pass. Purple and gold codes come first.
- Extract early. A Level 2 Sprite in your collection beats a Level 5 Sprite you lost.
- Hunt Honey and One Wish Willow while Fortnitemares chests are still around.
- Play your Crown games in a mode you win most often.
