The Fortnite Buggy skin can be yours in two ways, and both open on Friday, November 13. Top regional players in the One Piece: Buggy Cup on November 13 can win the Buggy Outfit for free, according to Epic’s v43.00 Treasure Hunters notes. Everyone else can buy it: Buggy is on Epic’s Treasure Hunters Shop schedule for the same date. Buggy himself turns up on the island earlier, on Captain’s Day, Sunday, November 8, when Epic says he and the Megalodon “crash onto the Island looking for trouble.”

Quick answer
- Free route: place high enough in the One Piece: Buggy Cup (November 13) in an eligible country. The prize is the Buggy Outfit, its accessories and a Fortnite x One Piece: Treasure Box.
- Item Shop: November 13. Expect him in the Shop that opens at 7 PM ET (00:00 UTC on Saturday, November 14). Epic didn’t give an exact time for Buggy, so check the Shop at that reset.
- Price: not announced. For comparison, Luffy sold for 1,800 V-Bucks and Nami and Usopp for 1,600 each at launch, per the Fortnite Wiki’s shop history.
- In-game arrival: Captain’s Day on November 8, along with Lil Uzi Vert’s fort takeover.
- One Piece tokens or coins: Epic’s notes don’t list any token or coin currency this season. Tokens won’t get you Buggy.

When does the Buggy skin come out in Fortnite?
Epic posted the Treasure Hunters Shop order before the season began. The Fortnite Wiki’s Update v43.00 page lists it: Luffy, Nami and Usopp at launch, A$AP Rocky on November 5 at 7 PM ET, Zoro, Sanji and the Chopper Sidekick on November 7, Lil Uzi Vert on November 12, Buggy on November 13, then Kasane Teto and Cap’n Hatsune Miku on November 14.
The only time Epic gave in that list is for A$AP Rocky, and 7 PM ET is when the Item Shop resets every day (00:00 UTC). A$AP Rocky’s set went live at exactly that reset, as our Fortnite A$AP Rocky skin guide shows. So the most likely window for Buggy is the reset at 7 PM ET on November 13. This table is our conversion of that time. It isn’t a time Epic has confirmed for Buggy.
| Region | Expected Shop time for Buggy |
|---|---|
| US West (PT) | Fri Nov 13, 4:00 PM |
| US Central (CT) / Mexico City | Fri Nov 13, 6:00 PM |
| US East (ET) | Fri Nov 13, 7:00 PM |
| Brazil (BRT) | Fri Nov 13, 9:00 PM |
| UK (GMT) / UTC | Sat Nov 14, 12:00 AM (midnight) |
| Central Europe (CET) | Sat Nov 14, 1:00 AM |
| India (IST) | Sat Nov 14, 5:30 AM |
| Japan (JST) | Sat Nov 14, 9:00 AM |
| Sydney (AEDT) | Sat Nov 14, 11:00 AM |
Kasane Teto and Cap’n Hatsune Miku follow one day later, so the Shop will turn over again 24 hours after Buggy arrives. Epic hasn’t said how long Buggy stays in the Shop. Our Fortnite Item Shop today page is updated after every reset.

How to get Buggy free: the One Piece Buggy Cup
Epic’s v43.00 Treasure Hunters notes name two One Piece cups. Top regional performers in the One Piece: Zoro Cup (November 6) and the One Piece: Buggy Cup (November 13) “can earn the Roronoa Zoro and Buggy Outfits and their accessories, plus a Fortnite x One Piece: Treasure Box in eligible countries.”
That’s all Epic has published about the Buggy Cup so far. Its notes don’t give start times, the team size, the scoring or how many players per region win the Outfit. They send players to the Fortnite Competitive page and the in-game Compete tab for the official rules. Here’s what to do before November 13:
- Open the Compete tab in the Fortnite lobby and find the One Piece: Buggy Cup. Check your region’s session time there.
- Read the official rules on that event page. They decide eligibility, including which countries can take part.
- Watch how today’s Zoro Cup works. It’s the same kind of event a week earlier, so it’s the best preview of the Buggy Cup’s format. We cover it in our Fortnite Zoro skin guide.
- If you miss the cut, you can still buy Buggy. The Shop date is the same day.
The Fortnite x One Piece: Treasure Box is a separate prize. Epic hasn’t said what’s in it.
Buggy on Captain’s Day: November 8
Every week of Treasure Hunters brings a new Captain to Crossbones Isle. Epic’s notes list Week 2 as “Lil Uzi Arrives (November 8)” and describe it this way: “Lil Uzi and Cuddle Team Leader claim a fort of their own, while Buggy and the Megalodon crash onto the Island looking for trouble. New weapons, strange new Sprites, and plenty of firepower for the hunt.”
That’s the whole official description. Epic hasn’t said whether Buggy is a Boss you can fight, where he lands or what he drops. Only A$AP Rocky is named as a Boss so far, as “the Island’s first Boss.” We’ll add Buggy’s location and drops once they’re live in the game.
Some older coverage gives November 7 for Week 2. Epic’s notes now say November 8, and an @FortniteStatus post on November 4 explains why: “Treasure Hours move to Saturdays, rounding out each week before a new Captain arrives Sunday.”
Buggy’s week at a glance
| Date | What happens | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Sat Nov 7, 2-4 PM ET and 9-11 PM ET (19:00-21:00 and 02:00-04:00 UTC) | Fortune Treasure Hours: everyone drops with a Shock Rocket | @FortniteStatus |
| Sun Nov 8 | Captain’s Day: Lil Uzi takes a fort, Buggy and the Megalodon arrive, Cursed Sprite added | Epic v43.00 notes |
| Mon Nov 9, from 9 AM ET | Mastery Monday: 2x Sprite XP and 2x Sprite Dust all day | Epic v43.00 notes |
| Thu Nov 12 | Lil Uzi Vert in the Item Shop | Shop schedule (Fortnite Wiki) |
| Fri Nov 13 | One Piece: Buggy Cup, and Buggy in the Item Shop | Epic v43.00 notes; Shop schedule (Fortnite Wiki) |
| Sun Nov 15 | Captain’s Day: Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto take over the resort | Epic v43.00 notes |
Epic describes the Cursed Sprite this way: it “increases your chance of finding rare Sprite variants, but water damages you.” Our Lil Uzi Vert Fortnite skin guide covers the other half of Week 2.
Are there One Piece tokens or coins in Fortnite?
No, not as far as Epic has said. Its v43.00 notes don’t mention a token, coin or doubloon currency for the One Piece collab, and neither does its season post as listed on the Fortnite Wiki. The season’s progression runs on things Epic does list: the Battle Pass, Sprite XP and Sprite Dust, the Sprite Mastery Track (found under the Treasure tab in the lobby) and the weekly map fragments. Buggy himself comes from the Buggy Cup or the Item Shop, not from anything you collect in matches.
Seen a site offering “One Piece token codes” or a “free Buggy skin” code? Skip it. Epic hasn’t announced any redeem code for this collab.

Can you get Buggy with Pirate Shop Access?
Probably, if you won it. Pirate Shop Access is a rare Chest reward this season. It lets you claim anything sold for V-Bucks in the Item Shop for free for 14 days after you activate it, with real-money offers excluded. If Buggy is sold for V-Bucks, a window that covers November 13 should cover him. If you want both Lil Uzi Vert (November 12) and Buggy, start your window on or before November 12. Our Pirate Shop Access guide explains the limits and deadlines.
How much will the Buggy skin cost?
Epic hasn’t announced a price. The first One Piece sets give a rough idea. According to the Fortnite Wiki’s Item Shop history for November 1, they launched at these prices:
| Item (Nov 1 Shop) | Price |
|---|---|
| Monkey D. Luffy Outfit | 1,800 V-Bucks |
| Nami Outfit | 1,600 V-Bucks |
| Usopp Outfit | 1,600 V-Bucks |
| One Piece Bundle (all three sets) | 4,000 V-Bucks (8,200 if bought separately) |
Buggy’s set could cost something different. The Shop shows the real price when it goes live. For the rest of the season, including the Battle Pass and every Captain’s Day, see our Treasure Hunters season guide.
