Written by Hana

Dynamax Machop leads Max Battles to Nov 8, then Ralts and Machop from Nov 9, Regidrago on Nov 12, Dialga and Palkia Nov 14-15, and Dynamax Trails Nov 16-23.

Pokémon GO’s Max Battles this week (Tuesday, November 3 to Monday, November 9) feature Dynamax Machop, which Niantic’s November schedule lists from November 2 to November 8. Into the Wild starts on Monday, November 9 at 10:00 a.m. local time and brings one-star Ralts and two-star Machop. It’s the run-up to Dynamax Regidrago’s debut on Thursday, November 12. After that, GO Wild Area brings Dynamax Dialga and Palkia plus Gigantamax Duraludon (November 14-15), and Dynamax Trails runs November 16-23, with Eternamax Eternatus taking over most Power Spots on Saturday, November 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local.

This page rolls forward every week. Bosses, dates and times come only from Niantic’s official posts on pokemongo.com and the official Pokémon GO account on X. Counter picks are type matchups plus Pokebattler simulations, labelled as such. Checked November 3, 2026, 13:30 UTC.

Max Battles this week (November 3-9)

Niantic’s November content update is a set of graphics the official @PokemonGoApp account posted on October 19. Its Max Battles panel lists Dynamax Machop from November 2 to November 8. Machop is a pure Fighting type, so Flying, Psychic and Fairy attacks hit it for super-effective damage.

The week ends with a change on Monday. From 10:00 a.m. local on November 9, the official Into the Wild post puts Ralts in one-star Max Battles and Machop in two-star Max Battles. Both can be Shiny. Ralts is Psychic and Fairy, which leaves it weak to Poison, Ghost and Steel. The same evening, Crowned Sword Zacian has a Raid Hour (raids, not Max Battles) from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Day (2026) Max Battles Also that day
Tue Nov 3 Dynamax Machop –
Wed Nov 4 Dynamax Machop –
Thu Nov 5 Dynamax Machop Halloween Part II ends at 8:00 p.m. local
Fri Nov 6 Dynamax Machop Festival of Lights (India only) starts at 10:00 a.m.
Sat Nov 7 Dynamax Machop –
Sun Nov 8 Dynamax Machop (last day) Festival of Lights ends at 8:00 p.m.
Mon Nov 9 Into the Wild from 10:00 a.m.: Ralts (1-star), Machop (2-star) Crowned Sword Zacian Raid Hour, 6-7 p.m.; Daily Discoveries paused Nov 9-15

Players in India can stack Machop battles with the Festival of Lights 2026 event from Friday. If you want raids rather than Max Battles, our Pokémon GO raids this week page covers the five-star, Mega and Shadow bosses.

Max Monday in November 2026

Niantic introduced Max Mondays in an October 2024 post on X. It described them as a Monday evening hour, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. local, when one featured Dynamax Pokémon takes over all Max Battles at Power Spots. Fan trackers list a longer Monday window this season. We couldn’t find that in any official post, so we don’t list it here. None of Niantic’s November posts on pokemongo.com name a Max Monday Pokémon or time.

Here’s what the official posts do confirm for each Monday this month:

  • Nov 9: first day of Into the Wild (Ralts and Machop in Max Battles from 10:00 a.m.).
  • Nov 16: first day of Dynamax Trails (10:00 a.m. local), when every non-Legendary Dynamax Pokémon can appear.
  • Nov 23: last day of Dynamax Trails (ends 8:00 p.m. local). Niantic’s November graphic lists Dynamax Espurr for November 23-29.
  • Nov 30: Niantic’s graphic lists Dynamax Cryogonal for November 30 to December 6.

On a Monday, open the Today view and the Nearby menu in-game. They show the boss that’s actually at your local Power Spots.

GO Wild Area: Global Max Battles (November 14-15)

The official GO Wild Area: Global page says the event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local on both days. Everyone can play the Max Battles. You don’t need a ticket for them.

  • Saturday, Nov 14: Dynamax Dialga and Gigantamax Duraludon.
  • Sunday, Nov 15: Dynamax Palkia and Gigantamax Duraludon.
  • Gigantamax Duraludon debuts in six-star Max Battles. Ticket holders also get a Special Research encounter with one that has a Special Background.
  • Max Particles: the daily collection cap rises to 1,600 for everyone. Ticket holders get 3,200, plus extra Max Particles from Power Spots and exploration once they’ve collected everything in the Nearby menu.
  • Private lobbies: since Pokémon GO Wild Area 2026, you can pick “Private Group” in a Dynamax Battle lobby and join friends with a group code, according to Niantic’s November 3 update.

Dynamax Dialga, Dynamax Palkia and Gigantamax Duraludon can all be Shiny, and catches from GO Wild Area Max Battles have a chance at a new Special Background. Ticket holders who finish the Steel Scholar or Dragon Defender research get extra Candy XL and Stardust for that type’s mighty Pokémon until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Dynamax Trails dates (November 16-23) and Eternamax Eternatus

The official Dynamax Trails post sets the event for Monday, November 16 at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, November 23 at 8:00 p.m. local. Here’s what it confirms:

  • Every Dynamax Pokémon that has appeared in Pokémon GO may show up in Max Battles. Legendary and Mythical Pokémon are excluded.
  • More Power Spots than usual, and a chance at Max Particles from catching event-themed Pokémon or after Max Battles. Catches made with a Pokémon GO Plus + or the Explorer Gadget don’t give particles.
  • A Special Background chance on Max Battle catches.
  • A Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble Spotlight Hour on Thursday, November 19, 6:00-7:00 p.m., with 2× Catch Candy.
  • GO Pass: Dynamax Trails, with an Eternatus encounter (or 100 Eternatus Candy if you already have one). The Deluxe upgrade costs US$4.99, and it’s free if you claimed Tier 1 of GO Pass: Into the Wild. Those players also get early access on Saturday, November 14 at 10:00 a.m.

Eternatus Returns, Saturday, November 21, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. local: Eternamax Eternatus takes over most Power Spots worldwide. You can’t catch it. Beating it gives a large amount of Eternatus Candy and Candy XL instead. During those hours Power Spots refresh more often, the Max Particle cap goes up to 2,400, and Power Spots give 8× Max Particles. From November 20 at 1:00 p.m. to November 21 at 6:00 p.m. PST, the daily Remote Raid limit goes from 10 to 30.

Best counters for this month’s Max Battles

The “weak to” column is plain type matchups. The picks are the top attackers allowed in Pokebattler’s Max Battle simulations, at level 40 with no weather, ranked by its overall rating and checked November 3 at 13:20 UTC. For bosses that haven’t gone live yet, Pokebattler may be using placeholder boss stats, so check again the day before.

Boss (date) Type Weak to Pokebattler’s top picks
Machop (to Nov 13) Fighting Flying, Psychic, Fairy Alakazam (Psycho Cut), Crowned Sword Zacian, Latios (Zen Headbutt), Espeon (Confusion), Hatterene, Gallade (Psycho Cut)
Ralts (Nov 9-13) Psychic, Fairy Poison, Ghost, Steel Type matchup only (one-star)
Registeel (Nov 11) Steel Fire, Fighting, Ground Gigantamax Cinderace, Gallade (Low Kick), Gigantamax Machamp, Ho-Oh, Moltres (Fire Spin)
Regidrago (Nov 12) Dragon Dragon, Ice, Fairy See our Into the Wild guide
Latias and Latios (Nov 13) Dragon, Psychic Bug, Ghost, Ice, Dragon, Dark, Fairy Crowned Sword Zacian, Latios (Dragon Breath), Crowned Shield Zamazenta, Latias, Metagross (Shadow Claw); simulated vs Latios
Dialga (Nov 14) Steel, Dragon Fighting, Ground Excadrill (Mud Shot), Crowned Sword Zacian, Crowned Shield Zamazenta, Gallade (Low Kick), Gigantamax Machamp
Palkia (Nov 15) Water, Dragon Dragon, Fairy Eternatus (Dragon Tail), then Palkia, Latios, Latias and Hydreigon with Dragon Breath
Gigantamax Duraludon (Nov 14-15) Steel, Dragon Fighting, Ground Excadrill (Mud Shot), Crowned Sword Zacian, Gallade, Eternatus, Gigantamax Machamp
Eternamax Eternatus (Nov 21) Poison, Dragon Ground, Psychic, Ice, Dragon Type matchup only (see below)

The same few names keep coming up. Gallade makes the top five against Registeel, Dialga and Gigantamax Duraludon, and Excadrill tops both Steel and Dragon bosses (Dialga and Duraludon). A Dragon Breath Latios or Latias handles Palkia and the Lati twins. Crowned Sword Zacian ranks near the top almost everywhere. If your Max Particles only stretch to one new Max Move upgrade before GO Wild Area, those are the Pokémon to put them on.

We left Eternamax Eternatus out of the simulation table because its Pokebattler entry is still a future boss. Its typing makes Ground, Psychic, Ice and Dragon attacks super effective, and the official post says beating it is about Candy, not a catch. New to Dynamax? Our Max Battle Day guide explains Power Spots, Max Particles and how Max Moves work. Super Max Level is a different system: it’s for Mega Pokémon, and our Super Max Mega Level guide covers it.
