Halloween Part I runs Oct 27-Nov 1 and Part II Nov 1-5 in Pokémon GO: new costumed Pikachu, Shiny Greavard, Super Max Mega Sableye and a Chandelure raid day.

Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 runs in two parts: Part I from Tuesday, October 27 at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, November 1 at 10:00 a.m. local time, and Part II from November 1 at 10:00 a.m. to Thursday, November 5 at 8:00 p.m. local time. Part I debuts costumed Pikachu, Zubat and Sinistea (all can be Shiny), Part II brings the first Shiny Greavard and a Super Max Mega Level for Mega Sableye, and a Chandelure Super Mega Raid Day lands on Halloween itself, October 31.

Everything below comes from the official Pokémon GO news posts (checked October 16, 2026, 19:00 UTC). Field Research tasks and the full encounter lists haven’t been published yet, so this guide sticks to what has been announced and flags the one item that comes from community reporting.

Quick answer

  • Part I: Oct 27, 10:00 to Nov 1, 10:00 local. New costumes: Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet, Zubat wearing a top hat, Sinistea wearing a bow.

Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 dates and times

Most of the event uses your local time, so it starts at 10:00 a.m. wherever you are. The Global Challenge and the GO Battle League rotation are the exceptions: they run at the same moment worldwide, on Pacific time. We’ve converted those to UTC.

Event Starts Ends
Halloween 2026 Part I Tue, Oct 27, 10:00 local Sun, Nov 1, 10:00 local
Halloween 2026 Part II Sun, Nov 1, 10:00 local Thu, Nov 5, 20:00 local
GO Pass: Halloween 2026 Tue, Oct 27, 10:00 local Thu, Nov 5, 20:00 local (claim rewards by Sat, Nov 7, 20:00)
Mega Halloween Cup + Master League (GO Battle League) Tue, Oct 27, 1:00 p.m. PDT (20:00 UTC) Tue, Nov 3, 1:00 p.m. Pacific
Chandelure Global Challenge Fri, Oct 30, 5:00 p.m. PDT (Oct 31, 00:00 UTC) Sat, Oct 31, 8:00 p.m. PDT (Nov 1, 03:00 UTC)
Chandelure Super Mega Raid Day Sat, Oct 31, 14:00 local Sat, Oct 31, 17:00 local

One overlap to keep in mind: the GO Pass: October (the Kyogre pass) is still running until Tuesday, November 3 at 10:00 a.m. local, and from October 31 at 12:00 a.m. to November 1 at 11:59 p.m. local there’s no daily limit on GO Points for it. So Halloween weekend is the best time to finish the October pass. Its rewards expire on November 5 at 10:00 a.m. local.

Halloween Part I: new costumes, spawns and Trick or Treat

According to the official Part I announcement, three costumed Pokémon make their debut, and each can be Shiny:

  • Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet
  • Zubat wearing a top hat
  • Sinistea wearing a bow

Trick or Treat: mischievous Pokémon leave “spooky surprises” in the wild. Tap one and you might get an event-themed encounter, Pikachu, Zubat or Sinistea Candy, or Rare Candy if you’re lucky.

Part I wild spawns and raids

Where Announced Pokémon (all can be Shiny)
Wild Zubat wearing a top hat, Duskull, Piplup wearing a Halloween Mischief costume, “and more”; rare: Drifblim wearing a Halloween Mischief costume
One-star raids Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet, Sinistea wearing a bow
Field Research Event-themed encounters (tasks not announced yet)

Part I also adds the Gothic Skirt Set, Gothic Shorts Set, Gothic Socks and Gothic Boots to the in-game shop. They stay on sale after the event ends. You can get event stickers from PokéStops, Gifts and the shop. A remix of the Lavender Town music plays at night during both parts, and Pokémon, PokéStops and Gyms get Halloween decorations.

Halloween Part II: Shiny Greavard and Super Max Mega Sableye

The Part II post confirms Shiny Greavard’s first appearance in Pokémon GO. You can find Greavard in the wild, from GO Pass tasks and from Field Research. A Shiny Greavard evolves into a Shiny Houndstone, so it’s worth keeping every one you find.

Where Announced Pokémon (all can be Shiny)
Wild Litwick, Rowlet wearing a Pokémon Halloween costume, Greavard, “and more”; rare: Gengar wearing a Spooky Festival costume
One-star raids Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet, Sinistea wearing a bow (same as Part I)
Field Research and GO Pass Event-themed encounters, including Greavard

How to get Mega Sableye to Super Max Level

Starting with Part II, Mega Sableye can climb to Super Max, the new Mega Level above Max. Here’s how it works, according to the post:

  1. Raise Sableye’s Mega Level to Max (the third level) first.
  2. Then power it up with Sableye Mega Energy. Mega Evolving alone won’t get you to Super Max.
  3. While Mega Evolved, Sableye can use an extra Charged Attack, Night Shade+: 55 power in Trainer Battles and 160 in raids. Its power grows with Mega Level.

The official Halloween posts don’t say where Sableye Mega Energy will come from. Pokémon GO Hub’s October calendar lists Mega Sableye in Mega Raids from October 28 to November 3. Check the in-game Today View to confirm before you spend Raid Passes.

GO Pass: Halloween 2026 rewards and bonuses

The free Halloween GO Pass covers both parts. You get it automatically on October 27 at 10:00 a.m. local, and you can earn GO Points until November 5 at 8:00 p.m. The Rank 10 and Rank 20 milestones unlock event-wide bonuses, so rank up early:

Milestone Free pass bonus GO Pass Deluxe bonus
Tier 1: Rank 10 2× Candy for catching Pokémon 3× Candy
Tier 2: Rank 20 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon 3× Stardust
  • Free track: event-themed encounters, event Candy, Rare Candy, Ultra Balls and more.
  • GO Pass Deluxe (US$7.99): faster progression, more encounters, the Patissier Top and Patissier Pants, Rare Candy XL and Premium Battle Passes.
  • Deluxe + 10 Ranks (US$9.99): the same, plus enough GO Points to reach Rank 11 right away.
  • Web Store extras: buying Deluxe on the Pokémon GO Web Store adds 10 Ultra Balls, five Max Revives, one Premium Battle Pass and five Max Potions. The +10 Ranks version adds two Premium Battle Passes instead of one.

You can upgrade at any point and still claim the Deluxe rewards for ranks you’ve already reached. If you’re unsure, start on the free pass and decide later. Unlocked rewards expire on November 7 at 8:00 p.m. local.

Chandelure Super Mega Raid Day (October 31)

On Halloween, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time, Mega Chandelure makes its debut in Super Mega Raids. These raids may only appear at certain Gyms, so check the official map or a local Community Ambassador meetup to find them.

The Global Challenge: why your raids count

Raid Battles completed by players worldwide during the challenge window unlock the Global Challenge tiers. The more tiers players clear, the bigger Mega Chandelure’s bonus from November 2 at 12:00 p.m. PST (20:00 UTC) to November 15 at 12:00 p.m. PST: a stronger Ominous Wind+ from Mega Level 1, and a CP boost for Super Max Mega Chandelure. Neither boost applies in GO Battle League.

Mega Halloween Cup in GO Battle League

The official GO Battle League: Twilight Trails schedule puts the Mega Halloween Cup: Great League Edition and Master League from October 27 to November 3, with 4× Stardust from win rewards (not end-of-set rewards). The rules for the cup:

  • 1,500 CP cap.
  • Only Bug-, Poison-, Ghost-, Dark- and Fairy-type Pokémon.
  • Mega-Evolved Pokémon are allowed.

What to prepare before October 27

  1. Clear storage space. Two parts, decorated spawns and Trick or Treat encounters add up fast.
  2. Save Raid Passes and Remote Raid Passes for Oct 30-31. The Remote Raid limit goes up to 20 and every raid helps the Global Challenge.
  3. Bank Sableye and Chandelure Mega Energy. Super Max needs the Pokémon at Max Mega Level first, then powering up with its Mega Energy.
  4. Reach Rank 10 and 20 of the Halloween pass early, so the Candy and Stardust bonuses run for as much of the event as possible.
  5. Finish the October GO Pass on Oct 31-Nov 1, while its daily GO Points cap is lifted.
