How to Breed Thumpies in My Singing Monsters: Combos, Time

Written by Nora

Thumpies breeds from Dandidoo + Mammott on Cold or Earth Island in 12 hours. All 3 combos, a timer table, Rare and Epic Thumpies combos, and Dawn of Fire.

To breed Thumpies in My Singing Monsters, put a Dandidoo and a Mammott (the two parents) in the Breeding Structure on Cold Island or Earth Island. Thumpies is the result. Pango + Potbelly and Furcorn + Tweedle work too, on both islands. A Thumpies egg shows a 12 hour timer (9h enhanced), and no combo is guaranteed. Below are all the combos as Parent 1 + Parent 2 = Result, a timer table, Rare and Epic Thumpies, and the Dawn of Fire version.

Quick answer

  • Best combo: Dandidoo + Mammott = Thumpies, on Cold Island and Earth Island. A failure that gives a Mammott hatches in 2 minutes, so you can retry almost at once.
  • Other combos: Pango + Potbelly = Thumpies, and Furcorn + Tweedle = Thumpies. Both also work on Cold and Earth Island.
  • Breeding time: 12h. Enhanced: 9h. Skin boost: 10h 48m. Enhanced and boosted: 7h 48m. Incubation takes as long again.
  • Elements: Air, Plant and Cold. Each of the three combos splits those elements between the two parents.
  • Unlocks at: level 9. Needs 3 beds and a 2×2 spot. You can also buy it for 50 Diamonds.
  • Not on Plant Island: Thumpies only lives on Cold and Earth among the Natural Islands, so no combo makes one on Plant, Air or Water Island.
  • Rare and Epic Thumpies: not available right now. The wiki’s live tracker listed no Rare or Epic monsters outside Seasonals and Fire Expansion at 14:17 UTC on November 3, 2026.

How to breed Thumpies on Cold Island and Earth Island

Thumpies is a Natural Triple, so element maths works: you need Air, Plant and Cold between the two parents and nothing else. The My Singing Monsters Wiki lists three combos on the Thumpies page. Each one also shows up under “Used in Breeding” on both parents’ pages with Thumpies as the result and Cold and Earth as the islands:

Parent 1 Parent 2 Result Islands Time (enhanced)
Dandidoo (Air, Plant) Mammott (Cold) Thumpies Cold, Earth 12h (9h)
Pango (Air, Cold) Potbelly (Plant) Thumpies Cold, Earth 12h (9h)
Furcorn (Plant, Cold) Tweedle (Air) Thumpies Cold, Earth 12h (9h)

Big Blue Bubble doesn’t publish the odds. What differs between the pairs is how long a failure costs you, and that’s why the wiki rates Dandidoo + Mammott best:

  1. Reach level 9. Thumpies, Dandidoo, Furcorn and Potbelly all unlock at level 9 (Mammott at 2, Tweedle at 4, Pango at 7).
  2. Breed a Dandidoo. The wiki’s best combo is Tweedle + Potbelly (8h, or 6h enhanced).
  3. Pair Dandidoo with Mammott. A 12h timer (9h enhanced) means a Thumpies.
  4. Retry fast. A 2 minute timer is a Mammott. Clear the Nursery and breed again. Dandidoo comes back after 8 hours, so it’s the slower failure.
  5. Light Wishing Torches if you have them. According to the wiki, lit torches raise the odds by an unpublished amount.
  6. Free up 3 beds and a 2×2 spot before the egg hatches.

Cold Island costs 5,000 coins at level 4. Earth Island costs 250,000 coins and opens after Water Island, so most players breed their first Thumpies on Cold. The combo and the timer are the same on both. Thumpies also lives on Mirror Cold and Mirror Earth Island, Gold Island, Tribal Island, Composer Island (where you buy it for 8,000 coins) and The Colossingum, according to the wiki.

Thumpies breeding time: did you get one?

The Breeding Structure timer tells you what’s inside before it hatches. Every time below comes from that monster’s wiki infobox:

Timer shows (default) Enhanced Result
15h 30m 11h 37m 30s Rare Thumpies (only during sales)
12h 9h Thumpies
8h 6h Dandidoo, Pango or Furcorn (a failure)
4h 3h Tweedle (a failure)
2h 1h 30m Potbelly (a failure)
2m 1m 30s Mammott (a failure)

A default-speed Thumpies holds the Breeding Structure for 12 hours and the Nursery for another 12. The Enhanced Breeding Structure and Enhanced Nursery each cut that by 25%, so upgrading both saves 6 hours per Thumpies.

How to get a second Thumpies faster

Once you own one, the wiki’s quickest duplicating trick is Thumpies + Rare Thumpies: while Rare Thumpies isn’t on sale, that pair gives a Common Thumpies every time. Thumpies + Deedge (Cold) or Thumpies + Quarrister (Earth) also tend to fail back to a Thumpies, with a small chance of an Ethereal. Thumpies + Mammott sometimes returns a Thumpies too. The wiki suggests it only if you have somewhere to put the Mammott eggs, such as a Wublin or Celestial.

What does Thumpies breed into?

Keep your Thumpies after it hatches. It’s a parent for both islands’ Quads and Ethereals, and for Yool, the Festival of Yay Seasonal. These rows come from the Thumpies page, and each result’s own page names the same pair:

Parent 1 Parent 2 Result Island Time (enhanced)
Thumpies Toe Jammer Deedge (Quad) Cold 1d (18h)
Thumpies Noggin Quarrister (Quad) Earth 1d (18h)
Thumpies Deedge Grumpyre (Ethereal) Cold 1d 12h (1d 3h)
Thumpies Quarrister Humbug (Ethereal) Earth 1d 12h (1d 3h)
Thumpies Congle Yool (Seasonal) Cold 1d 12h (1d 3h)
Thumpies Congle bbli$zard Cold 1d 11h (1d 2h 15m)
Thumpies PomPom Hyehehe Earth 1d 4h (21h)

Thumpies + Toe Jammer is Deedge’s best combo on the wiki, and Thumpies + Noggin is Quarrister’s, because the Single parent fails back in seconds. Our Grumpyre breeding guide covers the Deedge + Triple combos on Cold Island. Thumpies + Congle can give either Yool or bbli$zard, so read the timer: 1d 12h is Yool, 1d 11h is bbli$zard. Yool is a Festival of Yay Seasonal, so it only breeds while it’s available.

How to breed Rare Thumpies and Epic Thumpies

Both variants only breed (or sell) during limited promotions. Rare Thumpies uses the same three pairs as the Common one, on the same two islands. Epic Thumpies has its own combo on each island. Each Epic combo below is on Epic Thumpies’ page and on both parents’ pages, and none is guaranteed:

Parent 1 Parent 2 Result Island Time (enhanced)
Dandidoo Mammott Rare Thumpies Cold, Earth 15h 30m (11h 37m 30s)
Pango Potbelly Rare Thumpies Cold, Earth 15h 30m (11h 37m 30s)
Furcorn Tweedle Rare Thumpies Cold, Earth 15h 30m (11h 37m 30s)
Congle Oaktopus Epic Thumpies Cold Island 1d 9h (1d 45m)
Reedling Pango Epic Thumpies Earth Island 1d 9h (1d 45m)
  • Buy prices (wiki): Rare Thumpies 65 Diamonds, or 2,500 Starpower when it’s in the StarShop. Epic Thumpies 500 Diamonds. The StarShop held Rare Noggin, Rare Deedge and Rare Wynq on November 3, not Rare Thumpies.
  • Epic parents by island: Congle and Oaktopus aren’t on Earth Island, and Reedling isn’t on Cold Island, so each island has its own pair.
  • Selling: Thumpies sells for 18,750 coins, Rare Thumpies for 48,750 and Epic Thumpies for 375,000.

Thumpies even has its own promotion, “Thumpiepalooza”. These 2026 sales named Thumpies or covered it by island or element, according to the wiki’s Rare and Epic logs:

Big Blue Bubble hasn’t announced the next window. Last December the wiki logged all Air Natural Rares in “Putting On Airs” (December 4-11, 2025), Rare Thumpies in Festival of Yay’s “Holiday Looks” sale (December 11-15), then every Rare and Epic in “The More the Merrier” (December 22, 2025 to January 5, 2026). Thumpiepalooza ran in early March in both 2025 and 2026. That’s a pattern, not an announcement for this year. The other Cold Island Epics are in our My Singing Monsters breeding chart.

How to breed Thumpies in Dawn of Fire

My Singing Monsters: Dawn of Fire keeps the same three pairs. According to the wiki’s Dawn of Fire Thumpies page:

  • Combos: Dandidoo + Mammott, Pango + Potbelly, or Furcorn + Tweedle. Dandidoo + Mammott is again the best, because a failed try costs the least time.
  • Times: 12h breeding and 12h incubation.
  • Where: The Continent and Cave Island, from level 9. It needs 3 beds and a 2×2 spot, and costs 200 Diamonds to buy.

What does Thumpies like?

Each different liked item near a monster adds 25% happiness. Thumpies’ likes, with unlock levels from the wiki:

Like Unlock level
Furcorn 9
Oaktopus (Cold Island) 9
Fuzzle Tree 13
Dragoon Statue (the secret like) 16
Cozee Cabin 19

Furcorn and Oaktopus both like Thumpies back, and so do Yool on Cold Island and Humbug on Earth Island. On Cold Island, a Furcorn parent from the Furcorn + Tweedle combo doubles as a like.

Is Thumpies worth breeding?

  • Rewards: placing your first Thumpies completes a goal worth 25,000 coins and gives 11,000 XP. Placing your first one on Gold Island pays 2,000,000 coins, per the wiki.
  • Coins: low. The wiki says Thumpies doesn’t have high coin production, which is normal for a Triple. Its income table tops out at 39,711 coins at level 20.
  • Breeding value: high. It’s the best route to Deedge and Quarrister, a parent of both islands’ Ethereals, and one half of the Yool pair.
  • Wubbox: Thumpies is one of the Cold Island and Earth Island monsters a Wubbox needs. Our Wubbox guide explains how it works on each island.
  • Song: Thumpies plays the timpani, thumping its mushroom stump. On most islands it follows Mammott’s melody.

For another Cold Island monster with fixed parents, see our Strombonin breeding guide.

FAQ

What two monsters make a Thumpies?

Dandidoo and Mammott are the best pair. Pango + Potbelly and Furcorn + Tweedle also work. All three combos work on Cold Island and Earth Island.

How long does it take to breed Thumpies?

12 hours, or 9 hours in an Enhanced Breeding Structure. Rare Thumpies shows 15 hours 30 minutes, and Epic Thumpies shows 1 day 9 hours.

How do you breed Thumpies on Earth Island?

The same way as on Cold Island: Dandidoo + Mammott, Pango + Potbelly or Furcorn + Tweedle. For Epic Thumpies on Earth Island, breed Reedling + Pango during a sale.

Can you breed Thumpies on Plant Island?

No. Thumpies isn’t one of Plant Island’s monsters, so no combo there makes one. Breed it on Cold Island or Earth Island instead.

How do you breed Epic Thumpies on Cold Island?

Breed Congle + Oaktopus while Epic Thumpies is on sale. A 1 day 9 hours timer means it worked.
