You can’t breed Wubbox in My Singing Monsters. There is no breeding combo for it. To get Wubbox, you buy it in the Market for 75,000,000 coins once you reach level 20, incubate it for 2 days, and then “box” one of every required monster on that island to power it up. On Plant, Cold, Air, Water and Earth Island that means all 15 Natural Monsters the island can hold, and the full list for each island is in the table below.
Everything here comes from the My Singing Monsters wiki’s Wubbox page and its island pages, plus Big Blue Bubble’s own update posts. We checked the numbers on November 3, 2026.

Quick answer: how to get Wubbox
- Not bred: Wubbox is a Supernatural (Electricity) monster with no breeding combo. You buy it in the Market.
- Price: 75,000,000 coins (150,000 shards on Ethereal Island). It unlocks at level 20.
- Incubation: 2 days in the Nursery, or 1 day 12 hours with the enhanced Nursery.
- Power it up: pick “Box It” on one of each required monster. Natural islands need all 15 Natural Monsters. When the box is full, choose “Power up”.
- Boxed monsters are gone for good: they stop earning coins and lose their costumes.
- Cheaper option: wait for a sale. The wiki says Wubbox sales are usually 50% off (37,500,000 coins), and sometimes 75% off (18,750,000), usually during Cyber Week.
- Rare and Epic Wubbox are also bought, not bred: Rare Wubbox costs 1 Starpower in the StarShop and Epic Wubbox costs 1 diamond in the Market. They need Rare or Epic monsters boxed instead.

Can you breed Wubbox? No, it’s bought and boxed
People search for “how to breed Wubbox” because almost every other monster works that way. Wubbox doesn’t. The wiki calls it a monster “obtained in a way unlike other Monsters”: it’s a Market purchase that hatches as an inactive box. The box makes no sound and earns no coins until you power it up by boxing monsters. Any combo you see that claims to breed a Wubbox is wrong.
Here’s what the purchase costs on each type of island, according to the wiki:
| Wubbox detail | Natural and Fire Islands | Ethereal Island |
|---|---|---|
| Unlocks at | Level 20 | Level 20 |
| Market price | 75,000,000 coins | 150,000 shards |
| 50% off sale | 37,500,000 coins | 75,000 shards |
| 75% off sale | 18,750,000 coins | 37,500 shards |
| Beds used | 6 | 15 |
| Size | 4 x 4 tiles | 4 x 4 tiles |
| Sells for (empty) | 56,250,000 coins | 112,500 shards |
You can only have one inactive Wubbox on an island at a time. An empty Wubbox sells back for 75% of what you paid, so one bought at 50% off sells for 28,125,000 coins.
How long does Wubbox take to hatch?
The Nursery timer for a Wubbox egg is the same on every island:
| Setup | Incubation time |
|---|---|
| Default | 2 days |
| Enhanced Nursery | 1 day 12 hours |
| Skin boost | 1 day 19 hours 12 minutes |
| Enhanced and boosted | 1 day 7 hours 12 minutes |
Every island’s required Wubbox monsters
When Wubbox goes on an island, every monster there gets a “Box It” option. You need one of each Common monster of the island’s class. On the five Natural Islands, that’s the four single-element monsters, six doubles, four triples and the quad. Ethereals, Seasonals, Legendaries, Mythicals and Werdos don’t count. If you try to box one of those, the game shows “This Monster type is not required!” and keeps the monster. Each island has its own four elements, so the list changes from island to island. These lists come from each island’s page on the wiki:
| Island (elements) | Monsters to box (15) | Quad |
|---|---|---|
| Plant Island (Plant, Earth, Water, Cold) | Potbelly, Noggin, Toe Jammer, Mammott, Shrubb, Oaktopus, Furcorn, Fwog, Drumpler, Maw, Pummel, Clamble, Bowgart, T-Rox, Entbrat | Entbrat |
| Cold Island (Air, Plant, Water, Cold) | Tweedle, Potbelly, Toe Jammer, Mammott, Dandidoo, Quibble, Pango, Oaktopus, Furcorn, Maw, Spunge, Thumpies, Congle, Bowgart, Deedge | Deedge |
| Air Island (Air, Earth, Water, Cold) | Tweedle, Noggin, Toe Jammer, Mammott, Cybop, Quibble, Pango, Fwog, Drumpler, Maw, Scups, PomPom, Congle, T-Rox, Riff | Riff |
| Water Island (Air, Plant, Earth, Water) | Tweedle, Potbelly, Noggin, Toe Jammer, Dandidoo, Cybop, Quibble, Shrubb, Oaktopus, Fwog, Reedling, Spunge, Scups, Pummel, Shellbeat | Shellbeat |
| Earth Island (Air, Plant, Earth, Cold) | Tweedle, Potbelly, Noggin, Mammott, Dandidoo, Cybop, Pango, Shrubb, Furcorn, Drumpler, Reedling, Thumpies, PomPom, Clamble, Quarrister | Quarrister |
The quad and the triples take the longest to breed, so start them first. Our My Singing Monsters breeding chart has the combo and timer for every monster in that table. Our guides on how to breed Bowgart and how to breed T-Rox cover two of the triples that appear on several Wubbox lists. Plant Island’s quad, Entbrat, uses 4 beds on its own. Clear a few beds before the Wubbox egg hatches, because the box needs 6.
Fire Haven, Fire Oasis, Ethereal, Gold and Wublin Island
The rule is different off the Natural Islands, according to the wiki’s activation table:
| Island | What Wubbox needs |
|---|---|
| Fire Haven | The 7 Natural Monsters (Tweedle, Potbelly, Noggin, Dandidoo, Cybop, Shrubb, Reedling) and 8 Fire Monsters (Kayna, Glowl, Flowah, Stogg, Barrb, Floogull, Repatillo, Tring). Candelavra isn’t needed. |
| Fire Oasis | The 7 Natural Monsters (Tweedle, Toe Jammer, Mammott, Quibble, Pango, Maw, Congle) and 8 Fire Monsters (Kayna, Glowl, Phangler, Boskus, Whaddle, Woolabee, Wynq, Sneyser). Mimic isn’t needed. |
| Ethereal Island | All 15 Ethereal Monsters: Ghazt, Grumpyre, Reebro, Jeeode, Humbug, Whisp, Nebulob, Sox, Jellbilly, Arackulele, Boodoo, Kazilleon, Bellowfish, Dragong, Fung Pray |
| Gold Island | All 30 Natural Monsters, and each one has to be placed on Gold Island before you can box it |
| Wublin Island | All 19 Wublins, woken up. There’s no time limit and no zapped eggs. |
Wubbox wasn’t available on every island at launch. It started on Plant and Gold Island on May 9, 2013 (version 1.1.6) and has been added to other islands since. Fire Oasis was the most recent: Big Blue Bubble’s Update 4.3.0 post (May 15, 2024) announced it with “Wubbox on Fire Oasis”. Ethereal Island’s list includes Ghazt and Grumpyre, which can be bred on the Natural Islands and teleported over. Our guide on how to breed Grumpyre covers the Cold Island step.

Can you fill Wubbox with diamonds or wildcards?
Yes. You can pay diamonds or wildcards for any monsters you haven’t boxed yet, and every monster you have boxed lowers the price. On a Natural Island each missing monster costs 30 diamonds, so a full Plant Island box is 450 diamonds and 7 missing monsters cost 210. The wiki’s totals:
| Island | Full price in diamonds | Or wildcards |
|---|---|---|
| Natural Islands | 450 (30 each) | 15 |
| Fire Haven / Fire Oasis | 450 (30 each) | 23 (1 per Natural, 2 per Fire monster) |
| Gold Island | 9,000 (300 each) | 30 |
| Ethereal Island | 12,000 (800 each) | 75 |
| Wublin Island | 19,000 (1,000 each) | 285 |
A cheap way to finish is to box the easy single and double-element monsters yourself, then pay diamonds for the one or two slow triples or the quad you’re still missing. Boxing your first Wubbox on Plant, Cold and Air Island earns a 10-diamond Goal on each, and the Gold Island Goal pays 20.
What happens to boxed monsters?
The wiki is clear: once a monster goes into the Wubbox, it’s gone. It stops earning coins, no longer counts toward other monsters’ happiness, is removed from Gold Island if you placed it there, and loses any costume it had. Box a spare copy rather than a levelled-up monster you like, or breed a fresh one just for the box.
Gold Island has one more rule. A Wubbox keeps its level and name when you move it there, but it goes back into box form and has to be filled again with all 30 Natural Monsters. If you later take an activated Wubbox off Gold Island, it turns back into a box. The wiki says the Gold Island Wubbox isn’t worth it for casual players because it takes a long time and produces no currency.
How to get Rare Wubbox
Rare Wubbox isn’t bred either. It costs 1 Starpower in the StarShop at level 20 and takes 14 hours to incubate (3 hours 53 minutes 20 seconds on Ethereal Island). It uses 1 bed instead of 6. Big Blue Bubble added it to Ethereal Island in Update 3.3 (September 2021) and to Wublin Island in Update 4.4.0 (September 4, 2024), and its art for the Wublin version says it’s “available to buy in the StarShop at Level 20”. The catch is the filling. On a Natural Island it needs all 15 Natural Rares, which can only be bred or bought during limited-time windows. The other islands follow the Common pattern: 30 Rares on Gold Island, 15 Rarethereals on Ethereal Island, 7 Natural plus 8 Fire Rares on the Fire Islands, and 10 unique Rare Wublins on Wublin Island.
The wiki rates Rare Wubbox as the best coin and shard producer in the game, except for Epic Monculus on Ethereal Island. Filling a Natural Island Rare Wubbox entirely with diamonds costs 570 (38 per monster). When we checked the wiki’s live tracker on November 3, 2026 at 06:47 UTC, it showed no non-Seasonal Rares for sale. Only Rare Noggin, Rare Deedge and Rare Wynq were listed in the StarShop, so most Natural Rares will have to wait for the next sale.

How to get Epic Wubbox
Epic Wubbox costs 1 diamond in the Market at level 20. The wiki notes there’s no incubation, because monsters bought with diamonds don’t need to hatch. It takes 10 beds (25 on Ethereal Island), and it looks different on each island. To power it up you need all 15 Natural Epics on a Natural Island, all 15 Ethereal Epics on Ethereal Island, or the 15 Natural and Fire Epics (not Candelavra or Mimic) on the Fire Islands. The Gold Island version is filled in phases. Epics are limited-time monsters too, and the live tracker listed no non-Seasonal Epics for sale on November 3.
| Wubbox type | Where to buy | Price | Incubation | Beds | Boxes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wubbox | Market | 75,000,000 coins | 2 days | 6 | Common monsters |
| Rare Wubbox | StarShop | 1 Starpower | 14 hours | 1 | Rare monsters |
| Epic Wubbox | Market | 1 diamond | None | 10 | Epic monsters |
Epic Wubbox has been added island by island: Plant Island (September 22, 2021), Cold (December 8, 2021), Air (March 16, 2022), Water and Earth (August 3, 2022), Gold (September 6, 2023), Fire Haven and Fire Oasis (November 27, 2024) and Ethereal Island (April 16, 2025). The wiki lists Wublin Island as upcoming. Big Blue Bubble’s Feast-Ember Part 2 post announced the Fire versions as “available to buy in the Market at Level 20”. The wiki says Epic Wubbox isn’t a good coin farm because of its size and bed count. You get it for the collection and the song.
FAQ
How do you get Wubbox on Plant Island?
Buy it in the Market (75,000,000 coins at level 20), hatch it for 2 days, then box all 15 Plant Island Natural Monsters, from Potbelly to Entbrat. You can also breed Shugabush there, but Shugabush isn’t one of the monsters Wubbox needs.
Can you get Wubbox for free?
No. The Common Wubbox always costs coins, though you never have to spend real money on it. The cheapest way is to wait for a sale: 50% off is common and 75% off has happened, usually during Cyber Week. The wiki’s gallery also shows a 75% off “Electric Feel” sale in July 2024.
Can you put Wubbox on Composer Island?
No. The wiki’s Composer Island page says Supernatural monsters, including Wubbox and the Wublins, can’t be placed there.
What’s the fastest way to activate Wubbox?
Breed the quad and the triples first while the egg incubates, use the enhanced Nursery (1 day 12 hours instead of 2 days), and pay diamonds for anything you’re still missing at the end. Each missing monster costs 30 diamonds on a Natural Island.
