Rockstar Games released the official Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer on October 15, 2026, five weeks before the game arrives on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The 1:29 trailer went up without any teaser on Rockstar’s Newswire and the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel, and it debuts a new Justice single, “Flower in a Hurricane”.

What the GTA 6 launch trailer shows
Rockstar’s description sets up the story: “Vice City, USA. Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them.” When “an easy score goes wrong”, the pair end up caught in a criminal conspiracy that stretches across the state of Leonida. According to the video description, the footage was captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5.
Outlets that broke down the footage point to these moments:
- The Keys: the trailer opens on the Leonida Keys, an area earlier trailers barely showed, Eurogamer reports.
- Jason’s backstory: Jason says he “got in trouble in the army” and can’t get loans, which hints at why he turned to crime, as Kotaku notes.
- Heists and chases: bank heists, police chases and a helicopter getaway that seems to go wrong.
- A shower scene: Jason and Lucia share an intimate shower scene. Rockstar’s own rating descriptors for the game list Nudity and Strong Sexual Content.
- Possible clues: Eurogamer spotted what looks like an ankle tag on Lucia’s leg and a reverse-charge call to Jason. The trailer doesn’t explain either, so read them as fan theories for now.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Not officially. Rockstar has only announced PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. A GamesBeat report this week, covered by VGC, says four anonymous sources expect a PC version in the first quarter of 2027. That is unconfirmed until Rockstar says so. For comparison, GTA 5 took about a year and seven months to reach PC.
The music: Justice and GTA VI: The Album
Justice, the French duo who composed the game’s original score, provide the trailer’s music. Their new single “Flower in a Hurricane” features Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, and it’s on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. You can pre-save the album on streaming services or pre-order it on vinyl or CD at gtavi-thealbum.com. Rockstar says details of the official score album will follow.
What’s next
The launch trailer is probably the last big look before November 19. More news on the soundtrack is promised, and a PC announcement would be the next major update. GTA 6 has been a long time coming: back in 2021 we covered reports that it was still in early development. Planning your fall? Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 arrives first, on October 23, and today’s live gaming news page has the rest of the day’s stories.
