There are no Genshin Impact codes that HoYoverse itself has confirmed as working right now (checked October 28, 2026, 06:30 UTC). The last official batch, the three Version 7.2 livestream codes worth 300 Primogems, expired at 04:00 UTC on October 26. Code sites still list several other codes as active, but we couldn’t find a HoYoverse post for any of them, so they’re marked unverified below. They’re worth a try because a dead code costs you nothing.

Quick answer: Genshin Impact codes in October 2026
- Working (posted by HoYoverse and still valid): none as of October 28, 06:30 UTC.
- Just expired: HourofRuin, ExpertMitya and PhotoTime (7.2 livestream, ended October 26, 04:00 UTC) and VesnaOnPatrol (web event, ended October 22, 15:59 UTC).
- Unverified: NEEIJB764CA3, Y6JYMKV6JKSL, PJ2KEBRAYSRM, EPIC2026, OPERACOLLAB and 6LS3F3LS5K87 are listed by code sites, but none of them appear on HoYoverse’s channels we could check.
- Disputed: GENSHINGIFT, an old launch-era code. Some sites say it works and others list it as expired.
- Official redeem page: genshin.hoyoverse.com/en/gift, or in-game under Paimon menu, Settings, Account, Redeem Code.
- Next official codes: most likely at the Version 7.3 Special Program, which we estimate for early December. Version 7.2 itself launches on November 4.
Working Genshin Impact codes (official only)
We only call a code “working” here if HoYoverse posted it on its official X account, HoYoLAB, a livestream or an official news notice, and its stated end date hasn’t passed. As of October 28, 2026, 06:30 UTC, no code meets both conditions. We went through every Genshin Impact notice on HoYoverse’s official news feed since August 10 and the official Genshin account’s HoYoLAB posts from the same period. The only public codes in them were the livestream and web-event codes in the expired table below.
That’s not unusual for this point in a version. HoYoverse hands out most public codes at the Special Program livestream roughly 11 to 12 days before each update. Between livestreams, codes mostly come from web events and social campaigns.

Genshin Impact livestream codes (7.2, expired)
HoYoverse announced three codes during the Version 7.2 Special Program on October 23 and posted them in its official recap on X. They were valid until October 26, 2026, 12:00 (UTC+8), which is 04:00 UTC. That gave players under three days to redeem them.
| Code | Rewards | Source | Status (checked Oct 28, 06:30 UTC) |
|---|---|---|---|
| HourofRuin | 100 Primogems, 10 Mystic Enhancement Ore | 7.2 livestream (official) | Expired Oct 26, 04:00 UTC |
| ExpertMitya | 100 Primogems, 5 Hero’s Wit | 7.2 livestream (official) | Expired Oct 26, 04:00 UTC |
| PhotoTime | 100 Primogems, 50,000 Mora | 7.2 livestream (official) | Expired Oct 26, 04:00 UTC |
| VesnaOnPatrol | 40 Primogems, 3 Hero’s Wit, 20,000 Mora | Vesna’s Patrol Mission notice (official) | Expired Oct 22, 15:59 UTC (23:59 UTC+8) |
Some code sites still had the three livestream codes in their “active” lists on October 27, and one still showed VesnaOnPatrol as current. If a site lists them as working, it hasn’t been updated. For the rest of the 7.2 announcement, including Mitya, Valeriy, the banners and the event calendar, see our Genshin 7.2 release date and banners guide.
Pattern, not a rule: livestream codes are usually the biggest single drop of a version, at 300 Primogems for three codes, and they usually expire within a few days of the stream. The 7.2 batch lasted about 64 hours from the start of the stream. HoYoverse states the deadline each time, so check the official post rather than assuming the window.
Unverified and disputed Genshin codes
These codes appear on popular code trackers, but we found no HoYoverse post for them on the official news feed or HoYoLAB. They may come from partner promotions, Discord or other channels we couldn’t check, or they may be stale. Trying one does no harm: the redeem page simply says the code is invalid or expired. But don’t plan your pulls around them.
| Code | Listed rewards | Who lists it | Our label |
|---|---|---|---|
| NEEIJB764CA3 | 60 Primogems, 5 Adventurer’s Experience | Pocket Tactics (updated Oct 23), Gameblog (Oct 8) | Unverified |
| Y6JYMKV6JKSL | 60 Primogems, 5 Adventurer’s Experience | game.guide (checked Oct 27), Pocket Tactics, Pocket Gamer (Oct 3), Gameblog | Unverified |
| PJ2KEBRAYSRM | 60 Primogems, 5 Adventurer’s Experience | Timesaver (Oct 27, citing Game8) | Unverified, newest listing |
| EPIC2026 | 40 Primogems, 20,000 Mora, 3 or 5 Hero’s Wit | game.guide, Pocket Tactics, Pocket Gamer, Gameblog | Unverified; sites disagree on the Hero’s Wit count |
| OPERACOLLAB | 30 or 40 Primogems, 20,000 Mora, 2 Hero’s Wit | game.guide, Pocket Tactics, Pocket Gamer, Gameblog | Unverified; Gameblog says 40 Primogems, the others 30 |
| 6LS3F3LS5K87 | 20 Primogems, 60 or 160 Geodes of Replication | game.guide, Pocket Tactics, Gameblog | Unverified; sites disagree on the Geode count |
| GENSHINGIFT | 50 Primogems, 3 Hero’s Wit | Pocket Tactics (“works periodically”) and GamesRadar (last updated July 31, “semi-permanent”); Pocket Gamer lists it as expired | Disputed |
Each code works once per account. GENSHINGIFT has been around since the game’s early days, so long-time players have probably used it already. If the page says the code was already redeemed, that’s why.

Genshin Impact redeem page: how to redeem codes
You can redeem a code on the website or inside the game. Code guides such as Pocket Tactics say your account needs Adventure Rank 10 first.
On the official redeem page
- Open genshin.hoyoverse.com/en/gift and log in with your HoYoverse account.
- Pick the server your character plays on (America, Europe, Asia or TW, HK, MO).
- Paste the code and press Redeem.
- Open the in-game Mail. HoYoverse’s notices say code rewards arrive there and the mail expires after 30 days.
In the game
- Open the Paimon menu and select Settings (the gear icon).
- Go to the Account tab and choose Redeem Code.
- Enter the code, tap Exchange, then claim the rewards from your Mail.
The website is usually quicker, because you can paste codes and redeem them without logging in to the game.
When are the next Genshin Impact codes?
| What | When | Codes? | How sure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Version 7.2 “Hour of Ruin” launch | November 4, 2026 | No code. Maintenance compensation (Primogems) arrives by in-game mail. | Date official; compensation based on past versions |
| Web events and social campaigns during 7.2 | November to December | Sometimes a shared code after the event ends, as with VesnaOnPatrol | Pattern |
| Version 7.3 Special Program livestream | About December 4, 2026 | Usually three codes, about 300 Primogems in total | Our estimate, not announced |
How we estimate the next livestream: Versions 7.0, 7.1 and 7.2 arrived 42 days apart (August 12, September 23, November 4), and the 7.1 and 7.2 livestreams aired 11 and 12 days before their updates. If 7.3 follows the same pattern, it lands around December 16 with the livestream around December 4. HoYoverse posts a “Special Program Preview” notice a few days before each stream (it did on October 21 for 7.2), and that notice gives the confirmed date.
Maintenance compensation comes separately from codes. For Version 7.1, the official update notice gave 300 Primogems for the maintenance (60 per hour of downtime) plus 300 more for an issue fix, sent by mail to accounts at Adventure Rank 5 or higher. Expect a similar maintenance mail after the 7.2 update, though the exact amount appears only in the 7.2 notice.

Other free Primogems while there are no codes
- 7.2 events: the official 7.2 event calendar lists 920 Primogems from The Grand Defense alone, plus 450 from Stygian Onslaught and 420 each from two later events. The full table is in our 7.2 guide.
- Archon Quest: HoYoverse says finishing the 7.2 Archon Quest within the set period gives 560 Primogems.
- Discord Quests: for Version 7.0, HoYoverse ran a Discord Quest that gave each player a personal bundle code to redeem on the gift page. These codes are unique, so sharing them doesn’t work.
If you also play HoYoverse’s other gacha games, our Honkai: Star Rail banners guide has the 4.7 livestream time (October 30, 11:30 UTC), and the Zenless Zone Zero Phoenix build guide covers ZZZ 3.3. FAQ
Are there any Genshin Impact codes right now?
None that HoYoverse has posted and that are still valid, as of October 28, 2026, 06:30 UTC. The 7.2 livestream codes expired on October 26 at 04:00 UTC. Code sites list a few other codes you can try, but they’re unverified.
Why does my Genshin code say expired or invalid?
Either the code has passed its deadline (livestream codes last only a few days), you’ve already used it on this account, or it was never a public code. Also check that you picked the right server on the redeem page and that your account is Adventure Rank 10 or higher.
When do Genshin livestream codes expire?
HoYoverse gives the deadline in each recap post. The 7.2 codes expired at 12:00 UTC+8 on October 26, about three days after the October 23 stream. Earlier livestream batches followed a similarly short window, but treat that as a pattern and check each post.
What is the Genshin Impact redeem code website?
The official page is genshin.hoyoverse.com/en/gift. Log in, choose your server and paste the code. Rewards go to your in-game mailbox.
