A Sonic Collection has been recently listed by a retailer for PlayStation 4, and this collection is rumoured to have Sonic 3 and Knuckles. All of this is becoming more and more true because the collection was listed for PlayStation 4 after the Sonic 3 and Knuckles rumour. I think this rumour is definitely true at this point. A Sonic Colours Remaster was listed by the same retailer as well, so that is not a part of this collection, and it’s most likely an entirely different thing.
I hope that the collection contains most of the OG Sonic Games as well. I think we can expect some sort of announcement related to this at E3, and it’s about to be Sonic’s 30th anniversary, so Sega might be up to something big. But again, you should take all these rumours with a grain of salt because nothing is confirmed at the end of the day. But hopefully, this does turn out to be true. All these rumours are co-responding with each other technically, so I’d say it’s most likely true.
We still do not know what this collection might contain, though.
