Cozy farming and life sims on PS5
1. Stardew Valley
The farm sim every cozy list starts with, and still the best value at $14.99. On PlayStation it’s sold as a PS4 game, which runs on PS5 through backward compatibility, and the store lists up to four online players with PS Plus. You inherit an overgrown farm, fix up the town’s community center, and decide how much of each day goes to crops, mining, fishing or friendships. Worth your time if you want one game that can last hundreds of hours. Finished it already? Our games like Stardew Valley list has more farms to try.
2. Disney Dreamlight Valley
A life sim crossed with a quest-driven adventure, where you restore a valley and invite Disney and Pixar characters to move in. The base game is $39.99 on the PS Store and isn’t discounted right now, but three bigger editions are: $34.99 (from $49.99), $35.99 (from $59.99) and the Ultimate Edition at $47.99 (from $79.99), all until November 5 at 07:59 UTC (November 4, 11:59 PM PT). The store lists optional online play for up to four players and optional in-game purchases. Best for players who like a clear to-do list with their decorating.
3. Coral Island
A big, bright farming sim with a twist: you also clean up and restore the coral reef off the coast, alongside more than 70 townsfolk. It’s PS5-only on PlayStation, costs $29.99, and is included in the PS Plus Extra Game Catalog as of today, which makes it the best “try before you buy” pick here. Up to four players can farm together online. Our PS Plus Extra October 2026 guide covers what else is in the catalog this month.

4. Palia
The best free cozy game on PS5. Palia is an online life sim where you cook, garden, fish, decorate a home plot and befriend villagers, with up to 25 players sharing a world. The PS5 version is free to download and doesn’t need PS Plus, but online play is required and there are optional in-game purchases. Good for players who like a quiet MMO with friends; not for anyone who wants to play offline.
5. Hello Kitty Island Adventure
Sunblink’s island life sim came to PS5 on August 5, 2025. You explore eight regions, befriend Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and friends with gifts you bake and craft, and renovate cabins on a year-round event calendar. The PS Store listing is $39.99 (Deluxe Edition $59.99) with optional online play for two. It’s the most kid-friendly pick on this list.
6. Fae Farm
Farming with magic: you grow crops, cook, brew potions and use spells to clear the land on the island of Azoria. The PS Store has the standard edition at $29.99, a Deluxe Edition with both expansions at $44.99, and a free PS5 demo. Up to four players can play online. Worth your time if you like the idea of farming with spells, and the demo lets you try it first.
7. Wylde Flowers
A fully voice-acted farming sim about Tara, who moves to her grandmother’s island farm and joins a secret witches’ coven. It arrived on PS5 in December 2025 at $24.99 (Gematsu), after Apple Arcade, Switch and PC. It’s single player and works offline. Best for players who care about story and characters as much as crops.
Short, calm cozy games on PS5
8. Tiny Bookshop
Run a tiny secondhand bookshop by the sea: stock books, move the shop to new spots around town, and recommend the right book to the right customer. The PS5 version came out on April 10, 2026 for $19.99, and it’s single player and offline. Decorations aren’t just for looks; the store page says each item changes how customers react and can add new mechanics.

9. Unpacking
A wordless “zen game” about taking things out of boxes and finding a place for them, across eight house moves. There are no timers, meters or scores, and the story is told only through the objects you unpack. It’s $19.99 on the PS Store and a good fit for an evening or two, not a 100-hour habit.
10. Cozy Grove
A life sim about camping on a haunted island and helping its ghost bears. It runs on real-world time and, according to the store page, gives you 30-60 minutes of new quests each day, after which you can fish, craft and decorate. That makes it the best pick here for a short daily routine. $14.99, or $20.99 with the New Neighbears expansion.
11. Little Kitty, Big City
You’re a small black cat lost in a city, trying to get home (eventually): nap in the sun, make animal friends, collect hats and knock things over. The PS4 and PS5 versions launched on May 9, 2025 for $24.99 on the PS Store. It’s short, funny and great for kids. More like it in our best cat games list.
Cozy with a twist
12. Dave the Diver
Dive for fish by day and run a sushi restaurant by night. It’s more of an adventure RPG than a life sim, but the restaurant loop and the gentle pace win over most cozy players. $19.99 on the PS Store, single player.
13. Cult of the Lamb
The “cozy but spooky” pick for Halloween week. You build and decorate a village of cute followers, then head into short dungeon runs. The tone is dark, the art is adorable, and the Unholy Alliance update added a second player in local co-op. It’s $9.99 (60% off its $24.99 price) on the PS Store until November 5 at 07:59 UTC (November 4, 11:59 PM PT). If you want gentler spooky games, see our cozy Halloween games.
