New cozy games out this month

1. The Witch’s Bakery (out now)

Sunny Lab’s 2D narrative adventure casts you as a witch who runs a bakery in Paris, serving customers and, in the developer’s words, healing people’s hearts with croissants. It launched on October 14 on Steam, Switch and Switch 2, and its Steam reviews sit at Very Positive (96% of 148 reviews at the time of checking). The $19.99 game is 10% off at launch: the Steam discount ends October 28 at 17:00 UTC and the eShop one on November 5 at 07:59 UTC.

Worth your time if you want a story game with a baking loop and a cozy Paris setting.

2. ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet (October 23)

Kairosoft, the studio behind Game Dev Story, is building a floating restaurant with the Straw Hat Crew: collect ingredients, invent dishes and decorate until familiar ONE PIECE faces line up outside. Bandai Namco says it arrives October 23 on Switch, Switch 2, PC and mobile; Steam shows October 22, most likely a time-zone difference. Steam lists it at $19.99.

Worth your time if you already love Kairosoft’s pixel management sims (our best Kairosoft games list covers the classics) or you’re a ONE PIECE fan who wants something low-stress.

3. PAO PAO (October 26, Early Access)

PAO PAO is a seaside life sim built around a restaurant: cook, fish from the shore or a boat, grow crops and decorate your home, with weather, seasons and a day-night cycle. You can play solo or with up to three friends. ArtDock confirmed the Steam Early Access date of October 26, and a demo is already on the store page.

Worth your time if your group wants a co-op farming and cooking game that isn’t Stardew Valley again (for more of those, see our games like Stardew Valley list).

4. Hello Kitty Party Land (October 29)

Bandai Namco and Sanrio’s party game lets up to four players, locally or online, play more than 45 minigames and board games in a town full of Hello Kitty and Friends, with avatar outfits and hairstyles to unlock, according to Bandai Namco’s announcement. Nintendo World Report’s hands-on from New York Comic Con also mentions three boards and calmer side activities like fishing and farming. It costs $49.99 on the eShop, and the Switch and Switch 2 versions are sold separately, with no upgrade pack and no shared save data.

Worth your time if you need a family-friendly party game for younger players; it’s more Mario Party than farming sim.

5. Danchi Days (October 29)

This slice-of-life adventure follows 12-year-old Hoshino, who moves back to her Japanese hometown to be with her grandmother, now living with dementia, and tries to revive the neighborhood summer festival. Analgesic Productions announced a release on October 29 at 15:00 UTC for Windows, Mac and Steam Deck at $14.99, in English, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. The current demo will be swapped for a shorter one on launch day, and old demo saves won’t carry over.

Worth your time if you like story-first games that are funny and bittersweet in equal measure.

6. Usagi Shima: Bunny Island (October 29)

The bunny-collecting idle game that launched on mobile in 2023 comes to Steam on October 29 at 6 AM Pacific. Developer studio rabbiko rebuilt it from scratch for PC, adding hotkeys, a customizable UI and multi-select decorating, and there are 35+ bunnies to attract with toys and decorations. Mobile saves can’t be imported at launch (a later update should allow it), and there’s no cross-play, per the developer’s FAQ.

Worth your time if you want a game you can leave running in a corner of the screen while you work.

Cozy games coming in November

7. Loftia (November 3, Early Access)

Loftia is a cozy multiplayer world on floating sky islands: farm with hydroponics and aquaponics, craft tools powered by sun, wind and rain, decorate, and quest with other players. Qloud Games confirmed Early Access on November 3 for PC and Mac in 14 languages at $29.99, with a 17% launch discount to $24.89. A limited-time demo runs during Steam Next Fest from October 19.

Worth your time if you want an online “cozy MMO” with friends and don’t mind Early Access rough edges.

8. Cozy Game Restoration (November 4)

A quiet restoration sim about old game cartridges: unwrap mystery parcels, peel off stickers and residue, scrub away dust and ink, and display the cleaned-up results. There’s no failure state. A Steam demo is available ahead of the November 4 release on PC and Mac.

Worth your time if you enjoyed Unpacking or PowerWash Simulator and grew up with cartridges.

9. Pikmin 4 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy (November 12)

Nintendo’s Switch 2 Edition adds sharper visuals, Dandori Academy (72 challenge stages released over time), Dandori Battles you can share through GameShare, and voice commands for Oatchi through the Switch 2 microphone. The full edition is listed at $69.99, and Pikmin 4 owners can buy just the upgrade pack for $9.99.

Worth your time if you like a relaxed garden-exploring adventure with optional challenge on top. Our best cozy games on Switch 2 list has more to play in the meantime.

10. Spirit Crossing (November 2026)

From Spry Fox, the makers of Cozy Grove, Spirit Crossing is a multiplayer life sim above the clouds: build a home on a mountain peak, help storm-battered spirits, fish in the sky, and share a campfire with strangers or friends. The Steam page says it launches in November with no exact day yet, and a demo went up on October 8.

Worth your time if you want the social side of Sky: Children of the Light with Animal Crossing-style decorating.

Cozy games for December and winter

11. Muri: Wildwoods (December 7)

You play Pelle, a small “muri” cleaner with a water gun, washing corruption out of an island so plants regrow and critters cheer up. Speldosa Interactive revealed the December 7 date in Coffee Stain’s Big Break showcase, and its Next Fest demo got an update on October 8. Windows and Linux are listed.

Worth your time if you find cleaning games satisfying and want a cute exploration layer on top.

12. Cat Cafe Manager 2: Big City Bliss (Q4 2026, Early Access)

Roost Games’ sequel moves the cat cafe to a folkloric city: rescue strays, run the cafe, explore with your cats and help lonely neighbors. The studio’s September update confirmed Early Access in Q4 2026 with all core systems and around 10 hours of content at launch. An updated Steam demo arrives for Next Fest on October 19. The Switch version waits for the full 1.0 release, which the studio expects a little over a year after Early Access.

Worth your time if you liked the first game’s management loop and want more story and city exploration.

13. Coral Island on Switch 2 + update 1.4 (winter 2026)

Stairway Games announced on October 16 that its tropical farming sim comes to Switch 2 this winter alongside update 1.4, “Kids Grow Up”. Children will grow through four stages (baby, toddler, school-age, teenager) and pick up hobbies like music, sports, baking or gaming. The Switch 2 version supports up to 4 players with cross-play. No date or price for Switch 2 yet; on Steam the game is $29.99, and it’s also part of the PS Plus Extra catalog.

Worth your time if you want a bigger, more colorful Stardew-style farm on a Nintendo handheld.
