Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West and Mycopunk join PS Plus Extra on October 20, three more follow Oct 27, and Premium adds Dino Crisis 2.

The PS Plus Extra October 2026 lineup brings Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West and the day-one co-op shooter Mycopunk to the Game Catalog on Tuesday, October 20, with three more games following on October 27. Premium members also get Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition. One game, The Midnight Walk, is already playable. Store prices below were checked on the US PlayStation Store on October 17, 13:45 UTC.

PS Plus Extra and Premium October 2026: every game and date

Sony announced the lineup on the PlayStation Blog on October 14. The rollout is staggered, so here is when each game unlocks, what it costs to buy outright, and how PC players rate it on Steam.

The Midnight Walk Extra PS5 (PS VR2 optional) Now (Oct 14) $29.99 93% Very Positive

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition Premium PS5, PS4 Oct 20 – 87% Very Positive

Added up, the six Extra games with a PS Store price are worth about $250 at full US prices, before Mycopunk. Sony doesn’t give an unlock time for Tuesday, and it notes that catalog lineups can differ by region, so check the PlayStation Store on the day. The October 27 dates are confirmed for the US, the UK and Japan.

Mafia: The Old Country is on sale now, but Extra members can wait

Mafia: The Old Country, Hangar 13’s mob story set in 1900s Sicily, is the headline pick. It’s also $29.99 (40% off $49.99) on the PS Store until October 22 at 06:59 UTC (11:59 p.m. PT on October 21), a discount open to everyone, not only PS Plus members. If you already pay for Extra or Premium, there’s no reason to buy it: it joins the catalog two days before the sale ends. If you’re on Essential, the sale is the way to get it without changing tiers. On Steam, players rate it “Mostly Positive” (73%); it’s worth your time if you want a cinematic, story-first crime game.

Horizon Forbidden West returns to the catalog (Sony marks it as a PS Plus re-release) for PS5 and PS4. It’s the pick for anyone who skipped Aloy’s second adventure, and PC players rate it 88% positive on Steam.

Mycopunk and The Midnight Walk: the indie picks

Mycopunk launches on PS5 straight into the catalog on October 20. Pigeons at Play’s four-player co-op looter shooter, published by Devolver Digital, has robot exterminators fighting fungal aliens with hundreds of weapon upgrades. On PC it has been in Steam Early Access since July 2025, where 88% of nearly 4,800 reviews are positive. Pick it if you have a regular co-op group.

The Midnight Walk is already in the catalog. MoonHood’s dark fantasy adventure is built from real clay and animated in stop motion, and it’s fully playable on a TV or in PS VR2. It’s the best-rated game of the month on Steam (93%) and a good fit for spooky season if full horror is too much. Our cozy Halloween games list has more gentle picks. Non-subscribers can buy it for $13.49 (down from $29.99) until October 22, 06:59 UTC.

What PS Plus Premium adds in October

If RollerCoaster Tycoon is your thing, our best tycoon games on mobile list covers the series on phones too. New Game Trials for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell II also go live on October 20.
