The Wolf Among Us Remastered unlocks on Thursday, October 29 at 13:00 UTC, which is 6 am PT, 9 am ET and 1 pm in the UK, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. Both the PlayStation Store and the Xbox store list that time, and Steam’s store data carries the same timestamp, so it looks like one worldwide unlock, not a midnight rollout. The game costs $24.99, and for the first two weeks Telltale is taking 20% off for new players and up to 50% off for owners of the original.
The Switch version is not part of launch day. Telltale delayed it on October 16 and still hasn’t given a new date (our report on the Switch delay has the details).

The Wolf Among Us Remastered release time in your region
All times below are converted from the 13:00 UTC unlock in the store data, checked October 25 at 19:10 UTC. Clocks matter this week: the UK and Europe moved to winter time on October 25, while the US stays on daylight time until November 1.
| Region | Unlock time |
|---|---|
| US West (PT) | Thursday, Oct 29, 6:00 am |
| US East (ET) | Thursday, Oct 29, 9:00 am |
| UTC / UK (GMT) | Thursday, Oct 29, 1:00 pm |
| Central Europe (CET) | Thursday, Oct 29, 2:00 pm |
| India (IST) | Thursday, Oct 29, 6:30 pm |
| Japan (JST) | Thursday, Oct 29, 10:00 pm |
| Sydney (AEDT) | Friday, Oct 30, 12:00 am (midnight) |
| New Zealand (NZDT) | Friday, Oct 30, 2:00 am |
Two caveats from the store data. The European PlayStation Store pages (UK, Germany, France, Australia) still show only a placeholder “October 2026” date rather than a time, while the US and Canadian pages show 13:00 UTC; the Xbox store gives 13:00 UTC in the US, UK, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and Brazil. And the Japanese Xbox and PlayStation stores don’t list the game with a date at all, so it may not be sold there at launch.

Can you pre-load The Wolf Among Us Remastered?
Not yet. None of the three stores takes pre-orders: the PlayStation Store page only offers a wishlist button, the Steam page has no price, and the Xbox listing can’t be bought yet. Without a pre-order there’s no pre-load, so plan to download it at 13:00 UTC.
The download is small by 2026 standards. The Xbox store’s package data lists about 11.8 GB. Telltale hasn’t published official PS5 or PC file sizes. On PC, Steam lists these requirements:
- Minimum (Low, 1080p at 30 fps): Windows 10, Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 or AMD Phenom II X4 910, 8 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 470 or Radeon HD 5870 (1 GB)
- Recommended (High, 1080p at 60 fps): Windows 11, Intel Core i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 2300X, 8 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon RX 6400 (4 GB)
The Wolf Among Us Remastered price and launch discounts
Telltale set the price at $24.99 in a pricing announcement on October 20. Its launch discounts run from October 29 to November 12, starting and ending at 6 am PT (the end falls at 14:00 UTC because the US changes clocks on November 1). Telltale notes that prices and exact end times vary by region and store.
| Store | New players | Owners of the original | How the owner price appears |
|---|---|---|---|
| Steam | 20% off | 50% off (original on Steam) | Shown on the store page |
| Epic Games Store | 20% off | 50% off (original on Epic) | Shown on the page, applied at checkout |
| Xbox | 20% off | 50% off (Xbox One digital original) | Applied at checkout |
| PS5, with PS Plus | 20% off | 50% off (PS4 digital original) | Shown on the store page |
| PS5, without PS Plus | Full price | 30% off (PS4 digital original) | Shown on the store page |
Two rules decide who gets the owner price. Only digital copies count, because Telltale can’t verify discs. And you have to buy the remaster in the same store, on the same account, that holds the original.

What’s in the remaster, and is there a demo?
The remaster collects all five episodes of the 2013 Fables noir mystery, with reworked lighting and animation, a black-and-white Noir Mode and extras such as playable deleted scenes, according to the Steam page. It’s single-player, with English audio and French, German and Latin American Spanish text.
If you’re undecided, there’s a free demo on Steam with the first episode. Telltale released it for Steam Next Fest and says it’s available through October 26, so you have until the end of the festival to try it (our Steam Next Fest guide lists the festival times). Telltale’s new story trailer:
Launch week is crowded. Phantom Blade Zero unlocks about 11 hours earlier, at 02:00 UTC on October 29, and Village in the Shade arrives October 27. For last week’s big launch, see when Modern Warfare 4 unlocked in each region.
What’s next
Purchases and the launch discounts should open at 13:00 UTC on October 29. Telltale says Switch discounts will be announced with the Switch date, which is still to come. We’ll update this post if Telltale changes the unlock time or announces the Switch date.
