The quickest Sled Surfers tips come straight from CrazyLabs: flips in the air boost your speed, a 2025 update added ramps and tricks, and the coins you collect pay for better sleds and gear. This guide sorts out what the developer actually says about the game, what its official screenshots and trailer show, and a set of tips we’ve labelled as our own suggestions for hard levels like 10, 13, 17 and 18.
Sled Surfers is CrazyLabs’ free downhill sledding game for iPhone, iPad and Android. You steer a penguin (or another unlocked surfer) on a sled down snowy mountains, forests, cities and caves. On November 5, 2026 it sat at #36 on Apple’s US Top Free Games chart, and its App Store page showed it at #1 in Racing.

Sled Surfers tips: quick answer
- Flip for speed. CrazyLabs’ Google Play description says you can “boost your speed with backflips and front flips in the air.” Big jumps are where speed comes from.
- Use the ramps. The 1.5.0 update (September 2025) added “ramps, tricks, and new snowy trails,” so ramps and tricks are part of the design.
- Grab power-ups and dodge obstacles. The App Store text tells you to “dodge trees, leap over ice, and grab power-ups as you speed downhill.”
- Coins pay for upgrades. Per the Play listing, you “collect coins to upgrade your ride” and unlock sleds, characters and gear.
- Watch the progress bar. The official screenshots show a vertical bar on the right with a percentage and a checkered flag at the top: that’s how far you are from the finish.
- No level maps exist. CrazyLabs doesn’t publish level-by-level layouts, so our hard-level advice below is general and labelled as ours.

How Sled Surfers works
CrazyLabs describes the game as “inspired by endless runner hits,” and its feature list names two kinds of play: “endless runs and exciting level-based challenges.” The level-based side is where the level numbers people search for come from.
Here’s what the developer’s screenshots show on screen during a level:
- A slingshot start. One screenshot shows the penguin sitting in a rope slingshot on an icy street, with a gauge reading 100% above it and a ticket counter (20) in the top-left corner.
- A progress bar. A vertical bar on the right edge fills up as you go (7%, 30%, 60% and 71% in different shots), with a checkered finish flag at the top.
- Settings and a circular-arrow button in the top-right corner, which looks like a restart button.
- Varied tracks. City streets with traffic, a train bridge and an ambulance, a curved ice half-pipe, open snowfields, and desert canyons with cacti and a windmill. The App Store text also lists subways and caves.

The promo video CrazyLabs attached to its Google Play listing adds two more details: an “Air time” counter with a coin icon appears while the sled is in the air, along with your distance in meters (for example 1,633 m and 2,601 m). That points to air time feeding your coin total, though the store text doesn’t spell out the exact reward.
How to go faster in Sled Surfers
The developer names three speed sources: flips in the air, ramps, and power-ups. Everything else here is our suggestion.
- Treat every big jump as a flip chance. Flips are the speed boost CrazyLabs describes most directly. Our tip: flip when you have clear height, not on small bumps, so you land before the next obstacle.
- Line up ramps early. Our tip: on tracks with a ramp ahead, steer toward it before the last second. Late swerves are where you clip barriers and lose speed.
- Take power-ups that sit on your line. Our tip: don’t cross the whole track for one pickup if it puts a tree or car in your path.
- Upgrade before you grind. Our tip: if you keep running out of speed at the same point, the fix is often a better sled, not another attempt with the same one.
How to flip and do tricks
CrazyLabs’ store text calls the controls “smooth” and the game “simple to play, hard to master,” but it doesn’t describe the exact gesture for a flip. Go by what the game itself shows you rather than guides that guess. What the developer does confirm is that both backflips and front flips count as boosts, so there’s no need to stick to one direction.
Our tip: practice flips on a level you’ve already beaten. Once you know how much height one flip needs, you’ll know which jumps on a harder level are worth it.
Coins, sleds and upgrades
The Play listing says you “collect coins to upgrade your ride and customize your snowy adventure,” and both store pages promise “tons of surfers characters and sleds to unlock.” The screenshots show several of them: a green ring, a pink tube, an orange disc, a propeller plane sled and a sled with twin rocket jets. The 2025 Christmas update added holiday-themed sleds and characters, according to its patch notes.
Our tip: spend coins on anything that improves your sled’s performance before new looks. A new character is fun; a faster sled is what gets you past a level you keep failing.

Tickets, gems and in-app purchases
Sled Surfers is free with ads. Its App Store listing shows tickets, gems and coin boosts for sale. The store doesn’t explain what each item does in detail, so this table sticks to names and US prices.

| Small Ticket Pack | $1.99 |
| Piggy Bank 199 | $1.99 |

| Big Ticket Pack | $9.99 |
| Starter Pack | $9.99 |
| Sledding Halloween Offer | $9.99 |

Our tip: don’t buy anything to get past a single stuck level. Try the hard-level steps below first. If you have a billing problem, CrazyLabs’ replies to App Store reviews point players to [email protected], including for refund questions.
Sled Surfers level 10, 13, 17 and 18: how to beat hard levels
Levels 10, 13, 17 and 18 are the first level numbers Google suggests when you type “sled surfers level”. CrazyLabs doesn’t publish maps or walkthroughs for any level, and its patch notes show levels have been added and tuned over time (1.4.0 promised “new awesome levels,” 1.5.0 “new snowy trails”). So we won’t describe what’s on these levels. Instead, here’s a general approach. All of it is our suggestion.
- Find your fail point. Note the percentage on the progress bar when the run ends. If it’s always the same number, it’s one obstacle or jump, not the whole level.
- Change one thing per attempt. Take a different line, or skip a flip, or go for a ramp you ignored. Changing everything at once makes it hard to see what worked.
- Go back and upgrade. If you reach the same spot with no speed left, collect more coins and upgrade your sled before trying again.
- Land flips, don’t chase them. A flip that ends in a crash costs more than it gains. On a hard level, flip only where the landing is clear.
How many levels does Sled Surfers have?
CrazyLabs doesn’t give a level count in either store listing. The game combines level-based challenges with endless runs, and updates have added new levels and trails since launch, so any fixed number online may already be out of date.
Is there a Sled Surfers mod APK or PC version?
CrazyLabs lists Sled Surfers on the App Store and Google Play only. The App Store page lists iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, with no Mac version, and the Play listing shows no Windows (Google Play Games) version. Modded APKs that promise unlimited coins or tickets come from unofficial sites. They are modified copies that can carry malware, so we don’t link them. Install the game from the official stores instead.
