If you’re checking for Sims 4 broken mods after the October 27, 2026 update (patch 1.129), the list is short. EA’s own notes don’t name any broken mods. They do say that “many top crash reports continue to be closely linked to outdated or conflicting mod files”, and that the team has added code “guardrails” to stop some of those crashes. Two of the patch’s 14 crash fixes are about mods: one stops a harmless but widespread error from “a specific mod” when Sims’ interactions unload with a lot, and one fixes a mod-related crash when a male uniform is assigned on a Retail lot (Get to Work). Does MCCC work with the October 2026 update?
Yes, with the latest version. On Deaderpool’s download page, MC Command Center 2026.6.0 (and MC Woohoo 2026.6.0) is “tested to be working with” all packs up to Royalty & Legacy and the October 27, 2026 patch. Version 2026.5.0 was tested only up to the September 22 patch (1.128.90), so replace it rather than keeping both.

Mods updated for the October 2026 update
The quickest way to read the 63 updates is to group them by the systems EA changed. The patch re-tuned the price and calories of every food and drink, made 25+ Dine Out fixes, moved self-interactions into a new “Sim Options…” pie menu, changed birthday-invite tuning and fixed muscle gain from free weights. Those same areas are where most of the updates landed. If you use any of these mods, re-download them from the creator’s page:
Food, cooking and restaurants

- Extended Consumption Turns and its SCCO version (KsankaSims), October 27. Compatibility with a.deep.indigo’s Healthcare Redux and Healthy Living has been temporarily removed.
- More Servings Options & Better MealTime Menus and Hire certain Sims at Restaurants (LittleMsSam).
- Bake Everything in Any Oven (Simularity), Home Chef Hustle Batch Cook Fix (KaylaDot), Served With Love (Danitysimmer).

Pie menus and UI
- Tidy Pie Menu, Queue Guard and TS4 Access (formerly Screen Reader) by tyjokr, plus Color Sliders (tyjokr and thepancake1), all October 28.
- PaperLite UI and The Sims 2 inspired UI for The Sims 4 (vyxated), October 28. This patch added a new pie menu category, so don’t run an old copy of a UI replacement.
Careers, life events and everything else
- Framework (Danitysimmer), the library her other mods need, plus her NBA & WNBA Career, NFL Career, Night Owl Expanded and Fashion Illustrations. Update the library together with the mods.
- Better NPC Birthdays (KaylaDot) and Free Weights Interactions On Mirrors (Krzydek).
- Aliens Reloaded (OneMoreKayaker), Occult Hybrid Mod (BearlyBearable), Decision Day, Pet Health Insurance and TinyTots: Preschool App (annasiims), Tribes (tyjokr), Stealth Feed (Tralfaz).
- luthienrising’s All Beds Same Energy and Comfort and the Gardening Plants, All Seasons, No Glow, and 10 Harvestables set.
The list’s “Updated” status means the mod got at least one update during this patch. It doesn’t mean the old version is broken, but there’s no reason to keep it.
Popular mods still broken from earlier patches
Patch 1.129 isn’t the problem for most of the 509 mods that SimsVIP’s SFW list still shows as Broken. Those broke in earlier patches and haven’t been fixed. Some well-known ones:

How to fix broken mods after the Sims 4 update
- Back up first. Copy the
savesandModsfolders fromDocumentsElectronic ArtsThe Sims 4somewhere safe. SimsVIP’s list also says to back up your saves before you use any untested mod. - Re-enable mods. Go to Game Options > Other, tick “Enable Custom Content and Mods” and “Script Mods Allowed”, then quit and restart the game. These usually turn off after a patch.
- Delete the cache. With the game closed, delete
localthumbcache.packagefrom the same Sims 4 folder. The game rebuilds it. - Update script mods and libraries first. Start with MCCC 2026.6.0 and any framework or library mod your other mods depend on, then the mods listed above. Delete the old version before you add the new one, and only download from the creator’s own page.
- Remove the Broken and Obsolete mods from the tables above.
- Test in a new save. If the problem goes away without mods, it’s a mod. If it stays, it’s probably a game bug, and you should check EA’s bug report forums.
- Use the 50/50 method. Move half of your Mods folder out, test, and keep halving the half that contains the problem until you find the single file. Then report it to the creator or through SimsVIP’s mod report form.
