GO Pass: Halloween 2026 is the free event pass for Pokémon GO’s Halloween event. It runs from Tuesday, October 27 at 10:00 a.m. to Thursday, November 5 at 8:00 p.m. local time, and you have until Saturday, November 7 at 8:00 p.m. local to claim what you’ve unlocked. Rank 10 turns on 2× Candy for catches and Rank 20 turns on 2× Stardust (3× each with the US$7.99 GO Pass Deluxe), according to Niantic’s Halloween Part II post.
Niantic only describes the rewards in general terms, so the rank-by-rank list below comes from Leek Duck’s copy of the in-game pass, clearly marked as tracker data. It shows Greavard at Rank 45, Rotom at Rank 50 and Spiritomb at Rank 108. Checked November 1, 2026, 07:45 UTC.

When does the Halloween GO Pass end? (local time)
The pass doesn’t end at one moment worldwide. It ends at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, wherever you are, so New Zealand finishes first and Hawaii last. The grace period for claiming rewards ends 48 hours later, at 8:00 p.m. local on Saturday, November 7. Note that US clocks went back on November 1, so US times below are standard time (Eastern = UTC-5).

| New Zealand (NZDT) | Thu Nov 5, 07:00 | Sat Nov 7, 07:00 |

The Part II Timed Research (6 Rare Candies and a Sinistea wearing a bow) also has to be claimed by Thursday, 8:00 p.m. local, two days before the pass rewards expire. Do that one first.
GO Pass: Halloween 2026 rewards, rank by rank
This is the full ladder as Leek Duck lists it from the game. Niantic’s posts confirm the types of reward (event encounters, Candy, Rare Candy, Ultra Balls on the free track; extra encounters, the Patissier outfit, Rare Candy XL and Premium Battle Passes on Deluxe) but not the exact ranks, so treat the rank numbers as tracker data. If you buy Deluxe, you get both columns, not just the right-hand one.

| 50 | Rotom | Rotom |
| 51-107 | Stardust ×50 per rank | Stardust ×100 per rank |
| 108 | Spiritomb | Spiritomb |
Two things stand out. Ranks 51 to 107 are only small Stardust drops, so Rank 50 (Rotom) is the natural stopping point for most players. And the Greavard encounter at Rank 45 is a guaranteed shot at a Shiny Greavard, which debuts in Part II. Our Shiny Greavard and Houndstone guide covers the other ways to find it and how to collect the 50 Candy for the evolution.
How to earn GO Points fast
Points come from two places. Pass Tasks (daily and bonus) pay a fixed amount. Normal play (raids, hatching, catching) also pays, but only up to a daily limit. These are the tasks Leek Duck lists for this pass:
| Type | Task | GO Points |
|---|---|---|
| Daily task | Catch 6 Ghost-type Pokémon | 50 |
| Daily task | Catch 13 Pokémon | 50 |
| Bonus task (once, by Nov 5) | Catch 31 Ghost-type Pokémon | 200 |
| Bonus task (once, by Nov 5) | Catch 66 Pokémon | 200 |
| Bonus task (once, by Nov 5) | Win 2 raids | 200 |
| Extra points | Win a raid | 100 each |
| Extra points | Hatch an Egg | 40 each |
| Extra points | Catch a Pokémon | 5 each |
Leek Duck says the extra points stop at 500 a day. The official Pokémon GO help center gives a general limit of 250 a day from everyday activities and says the cap can change for events, so check the counter in your own pass. The help center also says points from Pass Tasks don’t count toward that limit.
The quickest daily routine with these numbers:
- Win five raids. At 100 points each, five wins hit the 500-point extra cap on their own. The one-star raids (Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet, Sinistea wearing a bow) are the fastest to clear solo, and the first two wins also finish the “Win 2 raids” bonus task.
- Catch Ghost types. Litwick, Greavard, Sandygast and Shuppet are among Part II’s boosted spawns (Leek Duck), so the two daily catch tasks and the two catch bonus tasks overlap with normal play.
- Hatch Eggs on the way. If you’d rather not raid, 13 hatches or 100 catches also fill the 500-point cap, but raids are far faster.
Raiding also helps beyond the pass. Mega Sableye Mega Raids run until November 8, and its Mega Energy is what you need for the new Super Max level; our Super Max Mega Level guide explains the cost. Once you reach Rank 10, a Mega Sableye also stacks with the pass’s Candy bonus when you catch Ghost types.
How far can you still get by November 5?
At 100 GO Points a rank, and with Niantic saying the +10 Ranks bundle takes you to Rank 11, the targets work out to roughly (rank − 1) × 100 points. The table below is our own arithmetic from the official and Leek Duck figures, not an official chart:
| Target | Reward | About this many GO Points |
|---|---|---|
| Rank 10 | 2× Candy (3× Deluxe) | 900 |
| Rank 20 | 2× Stardust (3× Deluxe) | 1,900 |
| Rank 40 | Gengar wearing a Spooky Festival costume | 3,900 |
| Rank 45 | Greavard | 4,400 |
| Rank 50 | Rotom | 4,900 |
| Rank 108 | Spiritomb | 10,700 |
A full day of play with Leek Duck’s numbers is worth about 600 points: 100 from the two daily tasks plus 500 extra points. The three bonus tasks add 600 once. So:
- Starting from zero today (Nov 1): five full days up to Nov 5 plus the bonus tasks is about 3,600 points, roughly Rank 37. That’s both milestones and eight of the 14 free encounters. Deluxe + 10 Ranks adds about 1,000 points, enough for Greavard at Rank 45 but not Rotom.
- Maxed out since Oct 27: ten full days plus the bonus tasks is about 6,600 points, around Rank 67. Rotom is comfortable.
- Spiritomb at Rank 108: on these numbers it’s out of reach in the time the pass runs, unless Niantic adds the extra bonus tasks it says to “keep an eye out for”. Niantic also says Deluxe has “faster progression” but doesn’t say by how much, so don’t buy Deluxe on the assumption that it gets you there.
Your real progress may differ if the daily cap in your game isn’t 500, so check the points shown in the pass itself.
Is GO Pass Deluxe worth it?
Going by Leek Duck’s ladder, this is everything Deluxe adds on top of the free pass across all 108 ranks:
| Reward | Free pass total | Deluxe adds |
|---|---|---|
| Catch bonuses | 2× Candy, 2× Stardust | 3× Candy, 3× Stardust instead |
| Stardust | 2,850 (Ranks 51-107) | 75,700 |
| XP | 45,000 | none |
| Rare Candy | 10 Rare Candy | 10 Rare Candy XL |
| Premium Battle Pass | none | 4 |
| Balls | 10 Poké, 20 Great, 20 Ultra | 20 Poké |
| Avatar items | none | Patissier Top (Rank 15), Patissier Pants (Rank 30) |
| Encounters | 14 | 17 more: a second copy of 12 free-track encounters, plus Dynamax Sableye, two Zubat wearing a top hat, Drifblim in its Halloween Mischief costume and Sinistea wearing a bow (Phony Form) |
| Candy XL | none | 3 each for Duskull, Misdreavus, Sandygast, Shuppet and Greavard |

Who it suits:
- Worth a look if you’re powering up Pokémon this week (3× Stardust plus 75,700 extra Stardust is the biggest gain), you want the Patissier outfit, or you raid a lot (four Premium Battle Passes).
- Easy to skip if you mainly want the encounters: the free track already has Greavard, Rotom, costumed Gengar and the costumed Piplup, Froakie and Rowlet.
- No need to decide now. Niantic says you can upgrade at any time and still claim the Deluxe rewards for every rank you’ve already reached, so you can wait until Thursday and see how far you got. Make sure you buy before the pass ends at 8:00 p.m. local on November 5.
Buying on the official Pokémon GO Web Store adds a gift: 10 Ultra Balls, five Max Revives, one Premium Battle Pass and five Max Potions with Deluxe, or the same with two Premium Battle Passes for Deluxe + 10 Ranks. A web-only “Ultra Box” version gives 20 Ultra Balls, 10 Max Revives, 10 Max Potions and five Premium Battle Passes. Niantic notes Deluxe availability may vary by region, and prices follow your local pricing tier.
Halloween, October and November GO Pass dates
The Halloween pass overlaps with the October pass until Tuesday, and the November pass starts the same morning the October one ends. According to Niantic’s posts:
| Pass | Runs (local time) | Claim rewards by |
|---|---|---|
| GO Pass: October | Oct 6, 10:00 a.m. to Tue Nov 3, 10:00 a.m. | Thu Nov 5, 10:00 a.m. |
| GO Pass: Halloween 2026 | Oct 27, 10:00 a.m. to Thu Nov 5, 8:00 p.m. | Sat Nov 7, 8:00 p.m. |
| GO Pass: November | Tue Nov 3, 10:00 a.m. to Tue Dec 1, 10:00 a.m. | Thu Dec 3, 10:00 a.m. |
Today, Sunday November 1, is the last day of the October pass’s weekend with no daily GO Points limit (until 11:59 p.m. local). Niantic announced that for the October pass only, not for the Halloween one. The November pass starts on Tuesday with a Groudon encounter and up to 1,400 PokéCoins on Deluxe. The rest of the month’s events are in our Pokémon GO November 2026 calendar.
For the spawns, raids and day-by-day plan for the rest of the event, see our Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 Part 2 guide. Part I’s costumes and the full event overview are in our Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 guide.
