The No Man’s Sky Forsaken update is out now. Hello Games released update 7.10, FORSAKEN, on October 28, 2026, at about 14:00 UTC, announcing it on Xbox Wire, Steam and @NoMansSky on X. Its official release log lists PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass and iOS. It adds haunted salvage, forsaken traders, biomechanical corvette parts, courier missions and several quality-of-life features.
Sean Murray calls FORSAKEN the studio’s fifth major update of 2026, after REMNANT, XENO ARENA, THE SWARM and last month’s COSMOS overhaul. Like Hello Games’ 40-plus earlier updates, it ships as a regular patch for people who own the game, and nothing in today’s announcements mentions a paid part.

What’s new in the Forsaken update
The Halloween content sits in deep space. According to the 7.10 patch notes, haunting mementos now appear in infested outposts, deep-space hulks, derelict freighters and planetary digsites. Hello Games warns that staying near them for too long attracts hostile boundary horrors.
- Forsaken Traders: you can now summon them at space outposts. They trade mementos for new corvette modules, including cockpits, habs and biomechanical hull pieces.
- Larva Cannon: a living Multi-Tool that forsaken traders sell for “the right quantity of preserved grubs”.
- Larva Tank helmet and Mind Harvester title: rewards for players who keep harvesting mementos.
- New cockpits and interiors: Vantage-, Hornet-, Viper- and Mantis-class cockpits (most come in three variants) and Legion-class habitation modules.
- Space Holo-Arenas: a Holo-Arena challenger now waits at deep-space outposts with its own creature-battle setup.

Courier missions, Minimal HUD and seamless warping
- Space Courier Missions: players who own a corvette and a Gravitino Coil can take package delivery jobs from deep-space outposts.
- Seamless Warping: you can now target stars in nearby systems straight from space and warp to them without opening the Galaxy Map. If your current mission target is in another system, its star shows the mission icon.
- Minimal HUD Mode: this setting shrinks the compass, hazard protection bars and mission notifications.
- Multi-Tool Mode Wheel: a radial menu for switching weapons and utilities, so you no longer cycle through each mode.
- Uploadable space bases: orbital constructions can now be uploaded to the shared server, so other players can visit them.

Smaller changes in the notes: Oxygen Harvesters can be built anywhere on a planet’s surface, trading outposts get a corvette landing pad, and there are memory optimisations for Xbox Series and VR plus a PS4 suspend-and-resume crash fix.
No Man’s Sky on iPhone and iPad
FORSAKEN is also the update Hello Games is using to launch the iOS version, which includes every update from day one. Murray’s Steam post says that from today, owners of an iPhone 11 or newer, or a 3rd-generation iPad Air or newer, can try the beginning of the game for free. The App Store listing still showed a release time of October 29 at 07:00 UTC when we checked (14:15 UTC on October 28), and its current version is 7.10.2. Our No Man’s Sky iPhone and iPad guide covers the $19.99 full unlock, the device rules and what’s missing on mobile.
How to get it, and the current sale

What’s next
Hello Games says it is “already deep in planning” for 2027. Expect follow-up patches first: COSMOS (7.0) got patches 7.02 through 7.06 between September 15 and October 5, according to Hello Games’ news feed. We’ll cover any 7.10.x patch notes that change the new content.
