The Switch sale ends first: October 31 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific. Dead by Daylight’s Switch price runs longer, to November 5. UK clocks went back today and US clocks go back on November 1, so local end times shift during the week; the UTC times above don’t.

PlayStation: check PS Plus before you buy
Resident Evil Village and Dead by Daylight are both in the PS Store sale, but the store also lists them as included with PS Plus Extra. Dead Space is included with EA Play. If you subscribe, you may not need to buy at all. Other PS horror picks: The Outlast Trials Deluxe Edition for $14.99 and Cronos: The New Dawn for $29.99. Until Dawn (2015) shows $4.99 for some accounts, but the store flags that price as a targeted offer, so don’t count on it. Our PS Store Planet of the Deals guide has the non-horror picks.
Nintendo Switch: the indie horror shelf
Nintendo’s sale is strongest on smaller games, all until November 1 at 06:59 UTC: Iron Lung $3.50, Inscryption $4.99, Outlast: Bundle of Terror $4.99, Little Nightmares Complete Edition $7.49 and The Midnight Walk (Switch 2) $14.99. Worth your time if you want short, atmospheric scares for a single evening. More picks, including cozy ones, are in our Nintendo Screaming Deals roundup.

Steam: what’s cheap now and what to wait for
According to Steam’s store data, the Resident Evil series is already discounted to November 3, so Scream Fest won’t change your plans there. The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series is $4.99 (90% off, to November 5), and SOMA ($5.99) and The Quarry ($5.99) run to November 2. Silent Hill 2, Dead Space, Alien: Isolation, Cult of the Lamb and Little Nightmares III are at full price on Steam. Publishers pick their own Scream Fest discounts, so we can’t promise they’ll drop. We’ll update our Steam Scream Fest 2026 guide once the fest opens.
Free horror games this week
Epic is giving away Sker Ritual and Home until October 29 at 15:00 UTC, according to its store data. On Steam, Sker Ritual’s Nightmare Edition costs $6.79 right now. Next up is Sorry We’re Closed, free from October 29; see our Epic free games next week post. Playing Dead by Daylight? Its Chucky chapter leaves the game on November 24.
