Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 cheats work on PC only: add -devmode to the launch options and press ~. Here are 23 checked commands, skill XP cheats and item IDs.

KCD2 console commands work only in the PC version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Add -devmode to the game’s launch options, start the game and press the tilde key (~, the key under Esc) to open the console. Most cheats, including wh_cheat_money and wh_cheat_addItem, need that launch option first, as they did in the first game.

Below is every command we could confirm in at least two published command lists, with what each one does, the item IDs that several sources agree on, and the caveats: skill XP commands, god mode that is hard to switch off, and what’s known (and not known) about achievements.

Quick answer

  • Enable: Steam > right-click Kingdom Come: Deliverance II > Properties > General > Launch Options > type -devmode.
  • Open the console: press ~ in game. Type ?_ and press Enter to list every command.
  • Money: wh_cheat_money 1000 adds 1,000 Groschen.
  • Save anywhere: wh_sys_NoSavePotion = 1 saves without Saviour Schnapps.
  • God mode: #player.soul:AddBuff('4add60ab-9015-4e56-9f7a-cb19345d6d49'). Make a save before you use it.
  • Skills and stats: #player.soul:AddSkillXP('skill', amount) and #player.soul:AddStatXP('stat', amount).
  • PS5 and Xbox: there is no console, so these commands don’t work there.

How to enable KCD2 console commands

We found no official console documentation from Warhorse Studios. The steps below come from PC Gamer’s guide (last updated April 23, 2026), GamesRadar+, PCGamesN and Destructoid, and they all give the same method:

  1. Close the game.
  2. In your Steam library, right-click Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and choose Properties.
  3. On the General tab, type -devmode (dash included) in the Launch Options box.
  4. Start the game normally, load a save and press ~ to open the console.

PC Gamer says the tilde key opens the console even without the launch option, but most cheats only work with -devmode set. If a command does nothing, check the launch option first.

Epic Games Store and GOG

Russian outlet StopGame gives the same fix for other launchers. In the Epic library, open the three-dot menu, then Manage, switch on Launch Arguments and enter -devmode. On GOG, make a shortcut to KingdomCome.exe in the game’s binWin64 folder, add -devmode after the path in the shortcut’s Target field, and always start the game from that shortcut.

KCD2 console commands list

Type commands rather than pasting them. StopGame warns that pasted commands can fail, though item IDs paste fine. Commands that set a value can usually be reverted by entering them again with the old value, for example wh_sys_NoSavePotion = 0.

Command What it does Notes
?_ Lists every console command Names only, no descriptions
wh_cheat_money 1000 Adds that many Groschen Use any number
wh_cheat_addItem ID 1 Adds an item by ID; the last number is the quantity IDs in the table further down
#player.inventory:CreateItem('ID', 1, 5) Adds an item with a set condition (0 to 1) and amount 0.5 = 50% condition
wh_sys_NoSavePotion = 1 Lets you save without Saviour Schnapps Set back to 0 to undo
#player.soul:AddBuff('4add60ab-9015-4e56-9f7a-cb19345d6d49') God mode: you can’t lose health Hard to undo (see below)

#player.soul:AddSkillXP('stealth', 500) Adds XP to a skill Skill names below
#player.soul:AddStatXP('strength', 500) Adds XP to an attribute strength, agility, vitality, speech
#player.soul:SetState('hunger', 100) Sets health, stamina, exhaust or hunger (0-100) Use one state name per command
cheat_set_wanted_level=0 Stops the guards chasing you after a crime gameplay.tips writes it with a wh_ prefix
wh_rpg_getLocation Prints your current x, y, z coordinates Write them down for goto
goto x y z Teleports you to those coordinates Save first

wh_horse_JumpHeight = 200 Much higher horse jumps About 200 is the cap
wh_horse_JumpGravityMult = -0.1 Your horse floats when it jumps Set above 0 to restore gravity
wh_pl_LockPickingDOF = 50 Far more time before a lockpick breaks Some lists spell it wh_lockpickingdof
wh_pl_LockPickingShakeOverride = 0 Stops the lockpick shaking Makes lockpicking much easier
wh_pl_showfirecursor 1 Keeps a reticle when aiming a bow Listed by PCGamesN, Dexerto, gameplay.tips
wh_ui_showHUD = 0 Hides the HUD for screenshots 1 brings it back; there’s also a photo mode
cl_fov 75 Changes the field of view Type the FOV value after it
wh_env_RainIntensityOverride = -1 -1 stops rain, 1 = heavy rain Values between 0 and 1 set the intensity

Every command in this table appears in at least two of the lists we checked (PC Gamer, GamesRadar+, PCGamesN, Destructoid, Dexerto, StopGame and gameplay.tips). We left out commands that only one source lists.

KCD2 money cheat

wh_cheat_money followed by a number adds that many Groschen. Destructoid’s example, wh_cheat_money 1000, gives 1,000 Groschen. It needs -devmode. Note that in the first game the same command used a different unit: the KCD1 wiki says 1 meant 0.1 Groschen there, so older guides may quote numbers that don’t match KCD2.

KCD2 god mode command

God mode is a buff rather than a toggle: #player.soul:AddBuff('4add60ab-9015-4e56-9f7a-cb19345d6d49'). PCGamesN, Dexerto, StopGame and gameplay.tips all list the same buff ID. None of them gives a command to remove it, and readers asking in StopGame’s comments how to get rid of it mention only loading an older save (one says the code didn’t work for them at all). So save just before you use it. If you only want easier fights, wh_rpg_OneShotKill = 1 can be switched off again, but it makes you die in one hit as well.

KCD2 skill and stat commands (level up)

There’s no “set level” command in the lists we checked. Instead you add XP, and the game levels the skill up as usual:

  • #player.soul:AddSkillXP('skill', amount) adds XP to a skill.
  • #player.soul:AddStatXP('stat', amount) adds XP to one of the four attributes: strength, agility, vitality or speech.

StopGame lists these internal skill names: alchemy, craftsmanship, drinking, horse_riding, houndmaster, scholarship, stealth, survival, thievery, weapon_sword, heavy_weapons, weapon_large, weapon_unarmed and marksmanship. Only that one source lists the names, so treat them as unconfirmed. A commenter there points out a trap: a typo in the command name gives an “unknown command” error, but a typo in the skill name is accepted and silently does nothing. If XP doesn’t appear, check the spelling and leave out the word “amount” (type a number).

KCD2 item IDs for wh_cheat_addItem

Item IDs in KCD2 are long codes. Type wh_cheat_addItem, a space, the ID, then optionally a space and the quantity (for example wh_cheat_addItem 8d76f58e-a521-4205-a7e8-9ac077eee5f0 10 for ten lockpicks). StopGame and gameplay.tips say the item’s name also works in place of the ID. Every ID below appears in at least two of the lists we checked:

Some lists also print IDs for paid DLC gear such as The Lion’s Crest set. We don’t list those: buy the DLC if you want that set. For a near-complete list, PC Gamer points to a community spreadsheet in a Steam Community post.

KCD2 console commands not working?

  • No -devmode: the console opens, but most cheats do nothing. Check the launch option and restart the game.
  • Pasted commands: type the command by hand. StopGame says pasted commands can fail; pasted item IDs are fine.
  • Spelling and spacing: lists disagree on a few names (wh_pl_LockPickingDOF or wh_lockpickingdof, goto x y z with spaces). If one version fails, try the other.
  • The # prefix: the #player.soul and #player.inventory commands are typed with the leading #, as in PCGamesN, StopGame and gameplay.tips.
  • Wrong platform: the console only exists on PC. On Steam the game is Windows only.

Do console commands disable achievements in KCD2?

This is unconfirmed. We found no word from Warhorse, and the sources disagree. The Kingdom Come: Deliverance wiki says console use didn’t disable achievements in the first game. gameplay.tips says the opposite for KCD2: that -devmode “typically disables achievement unlocks for that gaming session”. If achievements matter to you, play a separate save for cheating, or remove -devmode before an achievement run. Several lists also include a command that unlocks every achievement at once. We leave it out: it skips the game entirely.

Whatever you change, keep a clean save. PC Gamer warns that cheats “can bork your game a little bit”, breaking mechanics or quests, and stolen-horse ownership is a known example.

Can you use cheats in KCD2 on PS5 or Xbox?

No. The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions have no developer console, so these commands are PC only. GamesRadar+ and Dexerto both say so.

More PC command guides: Skyrim console commands for gold, perk points and skills, Fallout 4 console commands and item IDs, Cyberpunk 2077 console commands for patch 2.5 and Valheim 1.0 devcommands, which has an official achievement bypass command.

FAQ

What is the money cheat in KCD2?

wh_cheat_money followed by the amount, for example wh_cheat_money 5000. You need -devmode in the launch options first.

How do I get god mode in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?

Enter #player.soul:AddBuff('4add60ab-9015-4e56-9f7a-cb19345d6d49') in the console. Save first: none of the sources we checked gives a command to remove it.

How do I level up skills with console commands in KCD2?

Add XP with #player.soul:AddSkillXP('skill', amount), or #player.soul:AddStatXP('stat', amount) for strength, agility, vitality and speech. A misspelled skill name gives no error but does nothing.

How do I see all KCD2 console commands?

Type ?_ in the console and press Enter. It lists every command name but doesn’t say what each one does.
