Helldivers 2 Liberty Day 2026 is live today, October 26, and it ends at 23:59 CET tonight (22:59 UTC, 6:59 PM ET, 3:59 PM PT, 10:59 PM in the UK). Arrowhead Game Studios is giving the free AR-23L Liberator Legacy rifle to everyone who has played since September 26, decorating every Super Destroyer for 24 hours, and handing out the rifle once the celebration closes.
The details come from Arrowhead’s own Liberty Day 2026 post on the PlayStation Blog. This is the third year the in-universe holiday has been marked in the game.

When does Liberty Day end? Every time zone
Arrowhead gives one end time: 23:59 CET on October 26, 2026. Europe left summer time on October 25, so CET is UTC+1 today. US clocks don’t change until November 1.

How to get the free AR-23L Liberator Legacy
There’s no code to redeem. Arrowhead’s fine print says the rifle goes to every player who has played Helldivers 2 since September 26, 2026, 00:00 CET. So:
- If you played any time in the last month, you already qualify by that rule.
- If you haven’t played since September 26, log in and play before 23:59 CET tonight (3:59 PM PT). The post asks players to “log in and participate in the celebrations to claim your gift.”
- Don’t expect it right away. The rifles are handed out when Liberty Day ends, not when you log in, so it’s normal not to see the Liberator Legacy during the day.
The post doesn’t say how long distribution takes after the cutoff. If the rifle hasn’t shown up by Tuesday, check Arrowhead’s official @helldivers2 X account and the Steam news page before contacting support. Ship decorations, minigames and the Party Pack
For 24 hours on October 26, Super Destroyer lobbies get Liberty Day banners, rugs and party supplies. Arrowhead is also bringing back community minigames. Minidivers (send emoji stratagem codes in chat to stop enemy waves), Oath of Enlistment and Raise the Flag run only on the official Discord server. Adopt-a-SEAF, which gives you a blueberry to send on missions, is the only one without the Discord-only mark.

New Super Merch rewards
The Helldivers 2 Super Merch store adds new Liberty Day items today. Some products unlock through in-game achievements. Reach Level 100 and earn the “Hell Commander” title for the Hell Commander Pin, or complete 75 missions for the Private Teddy Snuggles Plush. You have until February 28, 2027 at 9:59 AM PT to meet the criteria, and the plush can’t ship to Japan for now.
Helldivers 2 is included in PlayStation Plus Extra’s Game Catalog, so PS5 players can join tonight without buying it. On Steam it’s $39.99. (Also see our games leaving PS Plus in November.)
Is Helldivers 3 coming?
Not soon. Arrowhead chief creative officer Johan Pilestedt told Rock Paper Shotgun on October 23 that “the biggest competitor to a Helldivers 3 would be Helldivers 2. It only makes sense to make a distinct sequel if it’s so different that both games can exist side by side.” According to Pilestedt, 95% of the studio is working on Helldivers 2, while a small team prototypes Arrowhead’s next game.
