Written by Sofia

Ghoul Garden Part 1 ends Oct 24 at 20:00 UTC and Part 2 starts at 20:30. How to farm Candy Corn, Black Cat sets, Haunted Egg odds and every shop price.

The Grow a Garden Ghoul Garden Halloween event is live now. Part 1 started on October 17 at 20:30 UTC and runs until Saturday, October 24 at 20:00 UTC, and Ghoul Garden 2 starts 30 minutes later, at 20:30 UTC (4:30 PM EDT, 1:30 PM PDT, 9:30 PM BST). That means you have about two days left to farm Candy Corn and finish Black Cat sets before the Part 2 update changes the shop.

This guide covers how the Ghoul Garden event works in 2026, what to buy first, every Candy Corn price we could confirm, and what the official Part 2 listing promises. Dates are from the developer’s official Roblox event listings, checked October 22, 2026 at 21:30 UTC.

Quick answer

  • Ghoul Garden Part 1: October 17, 20:30 UTC to October 24, 20:00 UTC.
  • Ghoul Garden 2: October 24, 20:30 UTC to October 31, 20:00 UTC (official listing: new activities, spooky weather returns, new pets and plants).
  • Event currency: Candy Corn. You earn it by selling Halloween plants at the Sinister Sales stand and from the Witches Brew cauldron.
  • The Ghoul Garden itself is a separate garden you switch to. Only Halloween plants go there; normal crops, pets and eggs don’t.
  • Best free reward: the Black Cat gives a Haunted Seed Pack for every set of three Halloween fruits you hand in (15 sets per cycle).
  • Top items: Haunted Hallow seed (50,000 Candy Corn or 1,299 Robux) and the Eyeball Monster pet (30,000 Candy Corn or 599 Robux), per the community wiki.

Grow a Garden Ghoul Garden event dates and times

The Garden Game posts each update as an event on the official Grow a Garden Roblox page. These are the current Halloween listings. UK clocks go back on Sunday, October 25, so the October 31 times are in GMT.

Official listing Starts (UTC) Ends (UTC) US Eastern / UK
🎃 Ghoul Garden (Part 1) Oct 17, 20:30 Oct 24, 20:00 Ends 4:00 PM EDT / 9:00 PM BST
🎃 Ghoul Garden 2 Oct 24, 20:30 Oct 31, 20:00 Starts 4:30 PM EDT / 9:30 PM BST
Next Update (no details yet) Oct 31, 20:30 Nov 7, 20:00 Starts 4:30 PM EDT / 8:30 PM GMT

Some sites list November 7 as the end of the whole Halloween event. That date is the end of the unnamed “Next Update” window, not a confirmed Halloween end date, so plan to spend your Candy Corn by October 31. Grow a Garden also runs its usual Admin Abuse session shortly before big updates (about 20:00 UTC on October 17, according to TheClick), but missing it doesn’t lock you out of anything.

Watch out for old guides. Grow a Garden also had a three-part Ghoul Garden in 2025 (October 11 to November 1, 2025), with different seeds, pets and prices. The 2026 event is a new version with its own garden and currency, so check the date on any shop list before trusting it.

How the Ghoul Garden works

According to the Grow a Garden wiki, you can switch your plot into a Ghoul Garden. While it’s active, the rules change:

  • Only Halloween plants can be planted. Regular crops, pets and eggs can’t go in.
  • Mutation sprays can’t be used in the Ghoul Garden.
  • Your top menu buttons switch to a Halloween theme, which is an easy way to check you’re in the right garden.

Seeds bought from the Halloween Market can only be planted in the Ghoul Garden. Lootester reports that seeds from Haunted Seed Packs can also go in your regular garden. Check the seed’s tooltip before you plant.

How to get Candy Corn fast

Candy Corn powers the whole event. Do these in this order:

  1. Buy cheap seeds first. Halloween Candy Corn Carrot seeds cost 10 Candy Corn and are always in stock. Spider Shrub (50) is the next step up.
  2. Sell your harvest at Sinister Sales. Selling Halloween plants there is the main Candy Corn source, according to the patch notes as reported by Lootester.
  3. Feed the Witches Brew between harvests. Every contributor gets 5-10 Candy Corn when the cauldron fills, plus a chance at bonus items (table below).
  4. Reinvest before you save. Pumpkin Lantern, Candy Cluster and Witch’s Broom seeds pay for themselves faster than saving up for one Mythical or Divine item right away.
  5. Keep your main garden planted. The game says your garden keeps growing even while you’re offline, so it gives you spare fruit for the cauldron.

You also get the Sweet Fortune badge once you’ve collected 500 Candy Corn.

Halloween Market: Scary Seeds prices

The Halloween Market restocks every 5 minutes and takes Candy Corn, Robux or Trade Tokens. Prices and stock chances are from the community wiki (checked October 22, 21:30 UTC). They could change in the October 24 update, so confirm them in-game.

Ghoul Garden pets: Frightening Fauna shop and Haunted Egg

The Frightening Fauna stall sells pets, eggs and a Spooky Chest. Prices per the wiki:

Pumpkin Rat 500 179 25% Common
Goat 1,000 179 16.67% Uncommon
Grave Crab 1,200 179 16.67% Uncommon

What’s in the Haunted Egg?

The Haunted Egg takes 4 hours to hatch. The wiki lists these odds and abilities:

  • Skull Snail (55%): raises the chance that harvested plants drop seeds, and Lucky Harvests can skip 2 hours of a plant’s growth.
  • Lantern Wisp (35%): gives pets bonus XP for every Halloween cosmetic in your garden, as long as you have a Wisp Well.
  • Gargoyle (9.5%): turns to stone now and then, speeding up nearby pets’ cooldowns or giving them XP.
  • Haunted Knight (0.5%): can haunt a Nightmare pet, resetting it to age 31 and giving it the Haunted mutation, with a rare chance of Everhaunted.

With 0.5% odds, don’t buy eggs just for the Haunted Knight. Skull Snail is the likeliest hatch, and its seed-drop ability is useful for farming.

Black Cat sets: how to get Haunted Seed Packs

The Black Cat asks for three specific Halloween plants at a time, each with a minimum weight. Hand them over to complete a set and get a Haunted Seed Pack. There are 15 sets. Sets 1-14 each give a Haunted Seed Pack and set 15 gives an Exotic Haunted Seed Pack. After set 15 your progress resets, so you can go round again.

The first sets only need small Candy Corn Carrots and Spider Shrubs (for example, set 1 wants carrots of 0.25 kg and 0.28 kg plus a 0.7 kg Spider Shrub). From set 5 on, the cat starts asking for plants with the Haunted mutation, and the last sets need Blood Kiwi, Fang Root and finally a Haunted Hallow of at least 4.8 kg. Keep a few heavy fruits from each type instead of selling all of them.

Haunted Seed Pack seed Chance
Candy Corn Carrot 31%
Spider Shrub 22%
Pumpkin Lantern 15%
Candy Cluster 10%
Witch’s Broom 8%
Webberry 7%
Blood Kiwi 5%
Fang Root 1.5%
Haunted Hallow 0.5%

Witches Brew cauldron rewards

Drop Halloween fruits, or fruits with a Halloween mutation, into the cauldron on the event island. Higher-tier fruits fill it faster. When it fills, everyone who contributed can win a reward, and then the cauldron has a 2-minute cooldown. The wiki lists:

  • Every contributor: 5-10 Candy Corn (always), plus a 16.67% chance each at a Haunted Egg, a Haunted Crate or a Halloween Gear Box 2026.
  • Top contributor: 5-20 Candy Corn, plus a 50% chance each at 2 Haunted Eggs or 2 Haunted Crates.

Lootester said on October 18 that the Witches Brew drop chances weren’t confirmed yet. Treat these numbers as community data.

What to do first (and what to save for Part 2)

  1. Switch to the Ghoul Garden and plant Candy Corn Carrots and Spider Shrubs.
  2. Start Black Cat set 1 right away. It only needs those two crops.
  3. Feed spare fruit to the Witches Brew when a cauldron is close to full.
  4. Buy Pumpkin Lantern, Candy Cluster and Witch’s Broom seeds when they restock.
  5. Buy cosmetics from the Demonic Decor stall last, unless you want a Lantern Wisp bonus.
  6. Before October 24 at 20:00 UTC, decide whether to spend or hold. The official Ghoul Garden 2 listing promises new pets and plants, but it doesn’t say whether Candy Corn carries over or whether today’s shop stays.

Ghoul Garden 2: what’s confirmed

The official listing for Ghoul Garden 2 (October 24, 20:30 UTC) says it brings “Part 2 of the Ghoul Garden Halloween event,” brand new activities, the return of spooky weather, new pets, plants, rewards and quality-of-life changes. No item names or prices have been announced. We’ll update this guide when the update is live. For everything else starting this weekend, see our Roblox Halloween updates schedule for October 23-25.
