Of all the games like Township, the closest is Hay Day: the same loop of crops, production buildings and truck and boat orders, with a big neighborhood scene. If you love Township’s break-time puzzles, Klondike Adventures and FarmVille 3 mix mini-games into the farming, and Gardenscapes (also by Playrix) is all match-3. For the city half of Township, try SimCity BuildIt, Megapolis or City Island 6.
All 12 games below were live on both the US App Store and Google Play when we checked on November 1, 2026 (02:45 UTC), with the same developer on both stores and an update in 2026. What makes a game like Township?
Playrix sums Township up as “the perfect blend of city-building, farming, and match-3 gameplay”: you grow crops, build houses, factories and community buildings, compete in regattas, and take match-3 breaks that earn rewards and can be played offline. Few games have all of that, so the list below is grouped by the part you want more of. If you’re still playing Township, our guides to getting building materials like bricks, glass and slabs, raising the population cap and the fastest XP sources for leveling up pick up where this list stops, and our older Township tips and tricks guide covers the basics.

Farm and order games closest to Township
1. Hay Day
The nearest match. In Hay Day you grow crops that never die, feed animals for eggs, bacon and dairy, then turn it all into goods in buildings like the Bakery, BBQ Grill, Sugar Mill, Loom and Cake Oven. Goods go out by truck orders or steamboat, or into your Roadside Shop, which is the same “produce, then deliver” rhythm Township runs on. You can join or create a neighborhood of up to 30 players, fish at the lake, repair the town’s train station for visitor orders, and play seasonal events in the Valley. The October 20 update added Halloween events and an expansion to fishing. Worth your time if you like Township’s farm more than its skyline: there are no match-3 breaks. Google Play labels it “Contains ads”.
2. Klondike Adventures
Klondike Adventures is a farm set in the Gold Rush. You build houses and factories, grow crops, raise livestock and fill orders, then leave the farm on expeditions to themed locations to find treasure. VIZOR’s listing promises “fun mini-games at your farm and in other locations”, which makes it one of the best answers to “games like Township with mini games”. The fall update (October 28) brought three new adventure locations: Land of Virtuosos, Pirate Bay and Culinary Academy. It’s also on Google Play with 100M+ downloads.
3. FarmVille 3
Zynga’s FarmVille 3 starts as a small homestead and grows into a village as you craft goods and fill orders. The big hook is animals: you breed hundreds of species, from chickens and cows to alpacas and rare hybrids, and each one produces its own goods. Farmhands such as lumberjacks, bakers and brewers level up to unlock recipes. The listing also mentions mini-games and special events, a Co-Op for community goals, and seasonal races, which play the role Township’s regattas do. October’s update added the Ticket to Terror Season Pass and a Día de Muertos fishing party (Google Play).

Farm games with a story and exploration
4. Family Island
A Stone Age family of four, Bruce, Eva and their kids, washes up on a deserted island after a volcano wipes out their home. In Family Island you farm, craft goods to trade with other characters, decorate, and set off for new islands while the family’s story plays out in quests. Melsoft calls it an “offline adventure game” (Google Play).
5. Sunrise Village
InnoGames’ Sunrise Village has you help your grandfather run his farm, build up your own village, gather resources and produce goods, and finish daily quests for villagers while you work out the mystery of a stone monument. The listing notes that a network connection is required. Last updated October 14 (Google Play).
6. Goodville
In Goodville, Jane, a journalist from the city, comes to town looking for her father and restores his farm along the way. The farming is classic Township material (crops, animals, fresh goods, orders) plus expeditions beyond the farm. What sets it apart: short self-reflection surveys and bite-sized lessons on emotional wellbeing, which the developer says were made with input from psychologists and scientists. The October 19 update added a “Missing on Halloween” event and a Disco Farm competition. Google Play showed it as #5 top grossing in adventure (Google Play).
Farm with friends
7. Big Farm: Mobile Harvest
Big Farm: Mobile Harvest leans social: you build a farm village, trade surplus crops at the market, and chat and complete joint quests with other farmers. Its latest update added the first Orchard Hub building (an Apple Orchard Hub) and decorations that boost the buildings next to them. Goodgame Studios publishes it on Google Play; on the App Store the seller is listed as Stillfront Germany GmbH, and the listing links to goodgamestudios.com.
More city, less farm

8. SimCity BuildIt
If you spend more time on Township’s town than its fields, SimCity BuildIt is the step up. You zone a metropolis, keep taxes flowing, solve traffic and pollution, add services like power plants and police, unlock landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, and run a rail network with upgradeable trains. Clubs let you trade with other mayors and fight Club Wars. The current Haunted Metropolis season adds landmarks like the Gargoyle Tower. EA’s App Store listing notes that some purchases include a random selection of items. Our SimCity BuildIt layout and Epic buildings guide helps with the first big city (Google Play).
9. Megapolis
Megapolis by Social Quantum is the most industrial pick: railroads and train stations for cargo, airports with fleets of planes, a research center, mines, oil refining and weekly state contests against other mayors. If Township’s factories, trains and airport are your favorite part, this is that part on a bigger scale. It also has a military base, so it isn’t all peaceful. One trap: the “Megapolis” sold on Steam is a different game by Lonely Troops; Social Quantum’s version reaches PC through Google Play Games.
10. City Island 6
City Island 6: Building Town is a free-to-play city sim that Sparkling Society says works offline. You build neighborhoods, skyscrapers and parks, manage traffic, unlock new islands through events, and lay out your own railway. The October 12 update added a new train (Google Play).
Without ads, or all puzzles
11. Stardew Valley
Stardew Valley is the pick for Township players who are tired of timers and offers. It costs $4.99 on mobile, and its Google Play listing has no “Contains ads” or “In-app purchases” label. You turn overgrown fields into a farm, raise animals, make artisan goods, fish, explore the mines, and join seasonal festivals, with 12 marriage candidates in town. It’s a farming RPG rather than a town builder, so there are no orders to fill. It’s the only pick here that the developer also sells on Steam ($14.99), Nintendo Switch and PlayStation, according to the official Stardew Valley site.
12. Gardenscapes
Gardenscapes is Playrix’s own match-3 game, from the same studio as Township. You beat match-3 levels (over 16,000 of them) to restore and decorate a garden with Austin the butler, plus Expeditions events. There’s no farm or factory chain, but if the puzzle levels are the part of Township you’d play all day, this is the one. Start with our Gardenscapes strategy guide (Google Play).
Games like Township for PC and Steam
Township has no Steam version, but its Google Play listing says it’s available on Windows through Google Play Games on PC, and so do seven picks above: Klondike Adventures, Family Island, Goodville and Megapolis, plus FarmVille 3, Big Farm and City Island 6 (those three need an Intel-powered PC, per Google’s footnote). Hay Day, Sunrise Village, SimCity BuildIt and Gardenscapes showed no Windows option on Play. On Steam, the farming pick is Stardew Valley ($14.99, Windows, Mac and Linux).
Is there a game like Township on Switch or PS5?
Of these 12, Stardew Valley is the one with official console versions: its site links the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation stores. The other 11 are phone and tablet games.
