Ubisoft’s Fall 2026 Update: Valhalla New Game+ lands Nov 5, Hexe’s next update is due in 2027, and no other Assassin’s Creed remake is in development.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gets New Game+ on November 5, Codename Hexe’s next major update is set for 2027, and Ubisoft says it has no other Assassin’s Creed remake in development. All three came in Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Fall 2026 Update, posted October 29 at 17:00 UTC and presented by Head of Content Jean Guesdon.

Here is what the Assassin’s Creed Fall 2026 Update confirms, game by game, in Ubisoft’s own words where it matters.

  • Valhalla New Game+: November 5, 2026, with dedicated NG+ scaling
  • Valhalla players: more than 40 million, according to Ubisoft
  • Codename Hexe: “steady progress”; next major update in 2027 (no date or platforms given)
  • Codename Invictus: the multiplayer project is being reworked after Insiders feedback
  • Remakes: none “actively in development” after Black Flag Resynced
  • Black Flag Resynced: its final major update is out; quality-of-life updates follow

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla New Game+: release date and what’s in the patch

Ubisoft says Valhalla “recently surpassed 40 million players” and that New Game+, which it calls “one of the community’s most requested features”, arrives November 5. New Game+ lets players restart Eivor’s saga “while carrying over much of your progression, with dedicated NG+ scaling.” The same Valhalla announcement on Steam lists the rest of the update:

  • An optional progression mode where Gear, Runes and Masteries all count toward Eivor’s overall Power
  • New runes, achievements, a stash system and new rewards, including a Master Assassin outfit inspired by Naoe’s look in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
  • Mithril, a new resource for upgrading Divine Gear and strengthening runes
  • Divine Gear quality for all items

Ubisoft has not listed platforms or a release time yet. It says full details will come “in the upcoming Patch Notes, along with news regarding current-generation console updates in the coming days.” It also says player feedback on this update “will help inform future discussions around bringing similar updates to other Assassin’s Creed titles.” As Push Square notes, Valhalla’s last update had been billed as its final one back in February 2023. If you are deciding whether to go back, our older look at whether Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is worth buying covers the base game and its scale.

Codename Hexe: next update in 2027

Ubisoft gave no release window for Hexe. Its full wording: “We’re making steady progress on this darker Assassin’s Creed experience, though there is still work ahead of us.” It added that “we’ll share our next major update in 2027.” The Hexe section ends with a line of scrambled text, which Ubisoft did not explain.

Are more Assassin’s Creed remakes coming?

Not for now. Ubisoft wrote: “we currently have no other Assassin’s Creed remake actively in development. Our teams are already focused on the next chapter of Assassin’s Creed titles, including projects you haven’t heard about yet, featuring new settings and stories.” It did not rule remakes out for later: “we’ll keep exploring opportunities to bring older titles back.”

Codename Invictus gets reworked

The multiplayer project had its first private Insiders Session a few months ago. Ubisoft says players liked the parkour, verticality and team play, but “wanted more of the pillars that define Assassin’s Creed,” so Invictus “is now evolving in an exciting direction that better reflects those pillars.” It also warned that information about Invictus found online “may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.”

Black Flag Resynced: no more major content

The final major update (New Game+, Nightmare Mode, new finishers and rewards, covered in our Black Flag Resynced update 1.0.8 guide) “marks the end of our current plans for additional major content,” Ubisoft says. Ubisoft Singapore will keep shipping quality-of-life updates “over the coming months.” The update also adds Blackbeard’s outfit and Edward’s London attire.

Netflix series, 20th anniversary and the new survey

Production of Netflix’s live-action series is “nearing completion in Rome, Italy,” with composer Hannah Peel scoring it; there is still no release date. Assassin’s Creed turns 20 in 2027, and Ubisoft promises “a year of reveals, updates, rewards, and community moments” starting then. A new community survey is open now, and the franchise’s leadership team led by Martin Schelling, announced earlier this year, is shaping the long-term plan. Earlier this month we also covered the leaked footage of the cancelled Assassin’s Creed Destiny.

What’s next

The next date is November 5 for Valhalla New Game+, with patch notes and current-gen console news due before then. Hexe news is not expected until 2027, the anniversary year. We will add the Valhalla patch notes to our gaming news live page when Ubisoft posts them.
