The grandiose Ubisoft Project Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be released in November 2020. It’s a good topic to ask now that the game is in its second year and fresh content is continually being released. In 2022, should I get Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?
It is the Assassin’s Creed series’ twelfth main chapter, and it was released on November 10, 2020, as a direct sequel to 2018’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
At launch, the game earned positive critical reviews but mixed user feedback. Although it seemed like a new-gen AAA product, many people found Ubisoft’s Viking approach to an Assassin’s Creed game to be funny. So, a few years later, let’s take a deeper look at all of the game’s features to determine if AC Valhalla is still worth buying in 2022!
The Assassin’s Creed gameplay Valhalla is a wonderful place. Though it is a long way from the origins of an assassin. Valhalla has its fighting and movement style.
Beautiful scenery, plenty of exploration, and more can be found in the game world, which spans Norway and England. Raiding is a new feature in Valhalla that allows the user to command a crew on a raiding and plundering mission.
In comparison to the other RPG Assassin’s Creed games, such as Origins and Odyssey, the game’s movement feels slower. The players have the option of dual-wielding. The players can use both hands to hold weapons and one hand to hold a shield. Shield in both is much superior.
Bugs on occasion. Despite Valhalla being such a large project, it’s shocking to see Ubisoft left to patch any issues. The sound bug is particularly irritating. The audio variances between the Main Character and the rest of the NPCs are audible to the gamers. The primary character’s audio output is unusually loud. This ruins the gaming world’s immersive experience.
The game is jam-packed with entertainment, and the ongoing release of DLCs demonstrates how much more the game can expand. Siege of Paris and Wrath of Druids are two DLCs that have already been released. Dawn of Ragnarok is the next installment in the series.
Ubisoft also announced a free crossover arc between Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Odyssey on December 14, 2021. There are two sections to the crossover. Odyssey has one component and Valhalla has the other.
Assassin’s Creed: Origins Valhalla is visually stunning.
The stunning vistas of 9th century Norway, England, and the fictional realms of Asgard and Jotunheim are all included in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It has everything from huge green plains to bustling towns, towering mountains, and captivating fantasy worlds.
Even if you don’t want to follow the game’s storyline or complete objectives, you can still enjoy the game by taking a stroll or horseback riding across AC Valhalla’s captivating environment/world.
There is a lot of main and side content to discover.
The foundation The open-world map in the AC Valhalla game features 21 territories/regions. Each of these regions has its storyline/arc, complete with dozens of primary quests, world events, riddles, relics, and collectibles. The game’s side activities are all quite entertaining.
Ubisoft has also released a few DLCs, such as Wrath of the Druids, Siege of Paris, and Crossover Stories, which offer additional quests and content, so you shouldn’t run out of things to do in AC Valhalla anytime soon after buying it.
According to the website How Long To Beat, 100 percent completion of AC Valhalla, including the additional content, takes 135+ hours. If you can get 100+ entertaining hours of playtime out of a single purchase, it’s worth every money in my opinion. However, the major tasks and alliance building in the game rapidly become tedious.
Smooth Gameplay, Combat, and a Large Weapon Selection
AC Valhalla’s gameplay and combat, in particular, are mainly fluid. While fighting waves of foes, you can move fluidly, and perform combos, assassinations, and cool finishers. Viking invasions and mystery solving are other enjoyable features of the game.
The game comes with a large arsenal of weapons and gears, allowing you to construct your own class/playstyle and engage in combat without it being tedious. In addition, the game contains a few overpowered legendary weapons that players can collect to feel the power of Norse gods in their hands.
All right! Now that we’ve covered the positive aspects of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, let’s look at the negative aspects.
Its main quests are tedious and repetitive!
AC Valhalla’s basic gameplay consists of four elements: forging alliances with England’s regional rulers (Main missions), assassinating members of the Order of the Ancients, Monasteries Raids, and other Side activities.
Regrettably, all of the stories about forming an alliance with regional leaders follow the same patterns and require you to complete similar quests for each of England’s 16 provinces. It eventually becomes a chore with no enjoyment
