ANOMALITH unlocks Oct 28 at 15:00 UTC on PS5, Switch 2 and Steam. The $69.99 PS5 Deluxe Edition gets 48-hour early access from today, Oct 26.

The ANOMALITH release time is set: FuRyu’s survival third-person shooter unlocks worldwide on Wednesday, October 28 at 15:00 UTC (8 AM PT, 11 AM ET, 3 PM GMT) on PS5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Steam. That is midnight on October 29 in Japan, which is why FuRyu’s official site lists an October 29 (JST) date. PS5 players who pre-order the $69.99 Digital Deluxe Edition get in two days earlier: the PlayStation Store lists that edition’s unlock as today, October 26, at 15:00 UTC.

The stores show different dates, so here are the unlock times, prices, pre-order deadline and editions, read from the store listings on October 26 at 04:30 UTC.

ANOMALITH release time by platform

Platform and edition Unlock (UTC) Source
PS5 Digital Deluxe (48-hour early access) Mon Oct 26, 15:00 PlayStation Store (US, UK, Germany and Australia listings)
PS5 Standard Wed Oct 28, 15:00 PlayStation Store
Steam (PC) Wed Oct 28, 15:00 Steam release timestamp
Nintendo Switch 2 Oct 28 (no time shown) Nintendo eShop (US)

The PlayStation Store uses the same 15:00 UTC stamp in every region we checked, and the release timestamp behind Steam’s store page is the same moment. The US eShop only shows the date. Since FuRyu gives one worldwide date of October 29 JST, 15:00 UTC on October 28 is the most likely Switch 2 time as well, but Nintendo hasn’t listed it. Europe has left summer time and the US hasn’t yet, so the local times are:

Is there early access on Steam or Switch 2?

Not according to the stores. The official ANOMALITH site lists “48-hour Early Access” only as a pre-order bonus for the PS5 Digital Deluxe Edition, and only that PlayStation product carries the October 26 date. Steam has no pre-purchase option yet. The Switch 2 Deluxe Edition is listed on the eShop at $69.99 but is marked unreleased rather than open for pre-order.

ANOMALITH price and editions

  • Standard Edition: $49.99 on PS5 and Switch 2 (£39.99 / €49.99 on the UK and German PlayStation Stores).
  • Digital Deluxe Edition: $69.99 (£57.99 / €69.99 on PS5). It adds an 80-page digital art book, a digital mini-soundtrack, the three-set “Armed Schoolgirl” outfit, three weapons (Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle, Double-Barreled Shotgun, Prototype Handgun) and a consumable item set.
  • PS Plus pre-order discount: 10% off both editions ($44.99 and $62.99) until 15:00 UTC on October 28, per the PlayStation Store.
  • Steam: no price is shown yet. FuRyu’s October 22 Steam post mentions “launch sale prices” and a bundle with the cyberpunk immersive sim Peripeteia from October 29 that takes another 10% off.
  • Physical: in the West, the only boxed version is a $59.99 PS5 Launch Edition from NIS America, out November 12, Gematsu reported. There’s no western Switch 2 physical release.

Pre-order bonus deadline

FuRyu’s site and the eShop listing say the pre-order bonus goes to anyone who buys by 23:59 JST on October 28, which is 14:59 UTC, one minute before launch. The bonus includes a “Lost Property Control Organization” collab side mission with an outfit and a T-6407J drone skin, plus a bonus outfit and consumable item sets. On Steam the same collab content is an early purchase bonus for anyone who buys between October 29 and November 11 (JST).

What kind of game is ANOMALITH?

You play Reona Minazuki, a 17-year-old “Diver” searching for a missing friend inside Anomaly Zones, which are liminal spaces with a Showa-era retro look. Runs follow a dive, retrieve and extract loop with ammo and inventory management. Back at base you customize guns and equip Artifacts, and Reona has 12 “Anomalization” powers. The score is by Yuka Kitamura, known for her Dark Souls work.

In an October 22 producer’s letter, FuRyu said the demo covers about 10% of the game. It also promised at least 70 gun attachments, at least 300 outfit and equipment parts, and at least 30 hours to see everything, including side missions and Dive Reports. The free demo, featured in October’s Steam Next Fest, is still available on all three platforms. The PC version needs 40 GB of storage, and the eShop lists 14.6 GB on Switch 2.

What’s next

The Deluxe edition goes live on PS5 later today. The full launch on October 28 is a day before Phantom Blade Zero, whose release timing and physical edition we covered last week. For more horror this week, see our Halloween horror game deals across every store and the new Switch 2 games out this week. We’ll update this post if Nintendo lists a Switch 2 time or Steam adds a price.
