Chain of Torment into Condemnation, Light of Protection and Earth Punishment Stigmas, the crit-reset combo and the PvP swaps for the AION 2 Cleric.

The best AION 2 Cleric build for PvE is a healer who keeps attacking: put Chain of Torment on the boss, spam Condemnation into it, and fill with Earth’s Retribution and Judgment Thunder while Light of Regeneration, Healing Light and Radiant Recovery keep the party up. Slot Light of Protection and Earth Punishment in every build, then add Noble Aura and Summon Resurrection (what most top Clerics run) or Prayer of Amplification (a damage pick). For PvP, swap to Absolution and Salvation.

This guide combines MetaBot’s client data and top-player pick rates, the Cleric guide on Aion 2 Maps, and NC’s patch notes; where they split, both options are shown. Balance status, checked October 30, 2026 at 23:00 UTC: NC’s October 7, 14, 21 and 28 global patch notes change no Cleric skills. The October 28 patch raised the Cleric’s base HP at level 45 from 4,702 to 5,702.

Quick answer: best AION 2 Cleric build

  • Damage loop: Chain of Torment, then Condemnation (3 s cooldown), with Earth’s Retribution for MP and Judgment Thunder as filler.
  • Heals: Light of Regeneration (party heal over time), Healing Light (lowest-HP ally), Radiant Recovery (party heal plus cleanse).
  • PvE Stigmas: Light of Protection, Earth Punishment, plus two of Noble Aura, Summon Resurrection and Prayer of Amplification.
  • PvP Stigmas: Light of Protection, Absolution, Salvation, plus Earth Punishment (solo pressure) or Yustiel’s Power (group fights).
  • Key combo: Earth Punishment at Stigma level 5 makes Condemnation always crit on its target, and Condemnation’s skill level 12 specialty resets its cooldown on a crit.
  • Stats: the sources disagree. MetaBot’s editorial order is HP, Defense, MP. Aion 2 Maps builds Attack first, because Healing Enhancement turns Attack into healing.

Cleric skills: what each one does in the build

According to MetaBot’s Cleric page (global client build 0.0.4387.0), the Cleric learns 12 active skills between level 1 and 16, 10 passives and 13 Stigma skills. Most attacks pick a target within 20 m and hit up to four enemies around it; heals reach party members within 40 m. The active kit:

Skill Unlocks Cooldown Role in the build
Earth’s Retribution Lv. 1 None Basic attack that restores 110 MP; your mana engine
Judgment Thunder Lv. 1 None AoE on up to 4 enemies (120 MP); filler between everything
Debilitating Mark Lv. 1 10 s Damage over time that cuts the enemy’s PvE Damage Boost by 5%
Divine Aura Lv. 3 30 s Stationary aura that hits a target near it for 5 s
Chain of Torment Lv. 4 20 s Cuts enemy PvE Damage Tolerance by 5%; enables Condemnation
Lightning Strike Scattershot Lv. 5 None Hits only a staggered target
Light of Regeneration Lv. 7 30 s Heals you and the party every 2 s for 30 s
Condemnation Lv. 8 3 s Main damage; only works on a Chain of Torment target
Healing Light Lv. 10 6 s Heals you and the lowest-HP party member
Radiant Recovery Lv. 12 12 s Party heal that removes 1 debuff
Bolt Lv. 14 45 s Charged nuke with 3 charge levels
Defiance Lv. 16 60 s Removes Stun, Knockdown, Airborne, Grab, Frost and Fear; 5 s immunity

MetaBot’s planner gives a Cleric 203 skill points by level 45, and one skill to level 10 costs 21, so you can fully train about 9 of the 22 actives and passives. Specialty slots open at skill levels 8, 12 and 20. For how the Cleric compares with the other seven classes, see our AION 2 classes guide.

AION 2 Cleric PvE build

Among 151 top Clerics MetaBot tracks (level 45, highest combat power per region), 97-99% have ten of the actives on their bar and 90% Lightning Strike Scattershot (Defiance is not reported). MetaBot flags this as a low sample, and the snapshot showed as updated 28 days ago, so treat it as what high-end players ran, not a ranking.

The Condemnation crit loop

Aion 2 Maps’ Cleric guide (updated October 18, marked as datamined) and Game Over Drive (October 5) describe the same core: with Earth Punishment at Stigma level 5, Condemnation always crits on a target Earth Punishment is burning. Condemnation’s level 12 specialty, which MetaBot’s client data lists as “Resets cooldown on landing a Critical Hit”, then makes it fire almost nonstop for those 10 seconds. The limit, per Aion 2 Maps: Earth Punishment is up 10 s of every 30 (20 s from Stigma level 20).

That sets your skill order. Aion 2 Maps takes Condemnation, Earth’s Retribution, Bolt, Divine Aura, Chain of Torment and Judgment Thunder to 10 first, then the heals and Debilitating Mark, then the Empyrean Lord’s Grace and Earth’s Grace passives.

Best Cleric Stigmas for PvE

Stigma slots open at levels 22, 27, 32 and 37, with 29 Stigma points by level 45. Two picks are settled; the other two depend on your party.

Stigma Cooldown What it does (level 1) Top-player use
Light of Protection 5 s (toggle) +10.5% PvE Damage Boost and Damage Tolerance for you and nearby party 87%
Noble Aura 60 s Aura that follows you for 300 s and attacks your target 79%
Earth Punishment 30 s Damage over time for 10 s; 20 stagger damage 65%
Summon Resurrection 120 s Resurrects a fallen party member within 40 m 64%
Prayer of Amplification 60 s +20% Attack for 10 s 50%
Absolution 90 s Removes up to 2 debuffs and heals you and the party 23%
Salvation 150 s 3 s immunity to damage and status effects 16%

Effects and cooldowns from MetaBot’s client data; usage shares from its top-player sample (151 characters), checked October 30, 2026.

Where the sources split:

  • Top players (MetaBot): Light of Protection, Noble Aura, Earth Punishment, Summon Resurrection. This is the safest dungeon set.
  • Aion 2 Maps: Light of Protection, Earth Punishment, Prayer of Amplification, Summon Resurrection. The guide notes that Prayer of Amplification’s Stigma level 10 and 15 bonuses make the two Grace passives count 1.5 times while it runs.
  • With a Chanter in the party: Light of Protection and the Chanter’s Undefeated Mantra are the same kind of buff, and Aion 2 Maps says only the higher-level one applies. Put Noble Aura in Light of Protection’s slot instead.
  • Solo or fast farming: drop Summon Resurrection, which raises party members only, for Noble Aura.
  • Stagger checks: Power Burst (50 stagger damage, the most of any Cleric skill) in Prayer of Amplification’s slot, per Aion 2 Maps.

Best Cleric specialties

Specialty effects below come from MetaBot’s client data; the picks are Aion 2 Maps’ recommendations.

Skill Skill level Pick
Condemnation 8 / 12 Up to +12% damage when fewer targets are hit / cooldown reset on a crit
Earth’s Retribution 8 +20% MP restored
Judgment Thunder 8 Up to +12% damage on fewer targets, or -20% MP cost if MP runs short
Chain of Torment 8 / 12 +3 s damage over time / a further 10% PvE Damage Tolerance cut
Debilitating Mark 8 -15% target Defense while its damage over time runs
Divine Aura 8 AoE version on packs, +50% attack speed in dungeons
Healing Light 8 +2 consecutive uses
Radiant Recovery 8 +1 consecutive use, or removes up to 2 debuffs
Bolt 8 +30% Skill Speed

AION 2 Cleric macro and rotation

Aion 2 Maps’ setup, built from creator guides, holds two keys: Earth’s Retribution on left click for MP, and one macro key with two lines at 10 ms per entry.

  1. Before the pull: switch Light of Protection on and leave it on.
  2. Damage line: Prayer of Amplification, Earth Punishment, Chain of Torment, Condemnation.
  3. Mark line: Debilitating Mark, Light of Regeneration, Judgment Thunder. Light of Regeneration lasts 30 s on a 30 s cooldown, so the macro keeps it on the party permanently.
  4. By hand: Divine Aura where the boss will stay (it does not move), Bolt on its own key at full charge when nobody needs a heal, Healing Light and Radiant Recovery when health drops, and Lightning Strike Scattershot while the boss is staggered.

Keep Bolt out of the macro: Aion 2 Maps notes that a macro fires it at its first charge stage. MetaBot’s editorial rotation is the same loop, with one rule worth keeping: heal only when the bar actually drops.

AION 2 Cleric PvP build

PvP Clerics win by not dying. Use a separate skill preset: each keeps its own skill and Stigma levels, per Aion 2 Maps.

Source PvP Stigmas
MetaBot (editorial) Light of Protection, Absolution, Salvation, Earth Punishment
Aion 2 Maps, group Light of Protection, Salvation, Yustiel’s Power, Absolution
Aion 2 Maps, solo Light of Protection, Earth Punishment, Salvation, plus Voice of Doom or Yustiel’s Power
Game Over Drive (via Th3Ruthless), group Light of Protection, Absolution, Yustiel’s Power, Salvation

Light of Protection and Salvation appear in every list, Absolution in three of four. The fourth slot decides your job: Earth Punishment keeps kill pressure, Yustiel’s Power (+10% PvP Damage Tolerance for the party for 10 s) survives a burst, and Voice of Doom cuts enemy healing and potion recovery by 60%, which Aion 2 Maps saves for enemy healers. MetaBot’s PvP build maxes Debilitating Mark, arguing that cutting enemy damage beats adding your own, and all three heals. For specialties, Aion 2 Maps takes the cleanse picks on Healing Light and Radiant Recovery. MetaBot’s Theostone pick: Stun or Seal in PvP, any damage Theostone in PvE.

Both rankings in our AION 2 best class tier list rate the Cleric weak in duels but strong in organized group PvP, where resurrection and cleansing decide fights.

AION 2 Cleric leveling build (1-45)

While leveling you kill more than you heal, so damage comes first. MetaBot’s leveling build maxes Earth’s Retribution, Judgment Thunder, Chain of Torment, Condemnation, Divine Aura, Healing Light, Light of Regeneration and the two Grace passives, with Debilitating Mark at 7 and Radiant Recovery at 5. Aion 2 Maps takes Earth’s Retribution and Judgment Thunder to 8 by level 19, then each damage skill to 8 before the heals.

Slot MetaBot leveling Aion 2 Maps leveling
Lv. 22 Light of Protection Light of Protection
Lv. 27 Noble Aura Earth Punishment
Lv. 32 Earth Punishment Noble Aura or Prayer of Amplification
Lv. 37 Summon Resurrection Prayer of Amplification or Noble Aura

The first Stigma slot also needs the Ascension quest, and skill and Stigma resets are free, per Aion 2 Maps, so respec at 45.

Cleric Daevanion board build

Board data is MetaBot’s; priorities come from MetaBot’s top-player picks (Nezekan, Zikel) and Aion 2 Maps’ route (the rest).

Board Opens at Points to finish Cleric priority
Nezekan Lv. 12 134 Light of Regeneration, Condemnation, Judgment Thunder, Chain of Torment +1
Zikel Lv. 20 134 Earth’s Retribution, Judgment Thunder +1
Vaizel Lv. 30 134 Condemnation, Judgment Thunder, Healing Light +1
Triniel Lv. 40 168 Condemnation, Judgment Thunder, Light of Regeneration +1
Ariel Lv. 45 232 PvE stats only: PvE Damage Boost, then Boss Damage Boost
Azphel Lv. 45 232 PvP stats only

MetaBot reports Light of Regeneration +1 on Nezekan taken by 98% of tracked Clerics, Condemnation +1 by 95% and Judgment Thunder +1 by 93%. Aion 2 Maps skips Heal Block, Prayer of Concentration and Radiant Benediction, although MetaBot’s editorial path takes Zikel’s Radiant Benediction for party healing on attack.

For Ariel, NC’s October 27 (PDT) / October 28 (CET) patch notes added Urugugu Canyon and Vakron Sky Island Hard mode (item level 2700, 3 revives per player, a 4-minute boss Frenzy timer), each with a guaranteed Ariel Fragment. You morph 100 fragments into one Daevanion Crystal: Ariel, up to 30 times per character. The same patch cut boss Attack by 15% in Normal Expeditions and Transcendence Stage 1.

Best Cleric stats: Attack or HP?

This is the biggest disagreement between the sources.

  • MetaBot (editorial): HP, then Defense, then MP, then Critical Hit Resist, then Attack. Its reasoning: a healer who dies wipes the party.
  • Aion 2 Maps: Attack, then cooldown reduction, then Weapon or Critical Damage Boost, then Critical Hit. Its reasoning, from client data: Healing Enhancement converts a share of Attack into Heal Boost, and the game has no separate healing stat.

A workable middle path: build HP and Defense until you stop dying to boss mechanics, then move to Attack, which raises damage and healing together. On gear, MetaBot’s top-player read shows Spiritforged Mace as the most used main hand (43%, average enchant +9.3).

Cleric or Chanter: which healer should you play?

Both rankings in our tier list put the Cleric and Chanter in S tier for group PvE. The Cleric is the only pure healer; MetaBot rates it 2 of 5 for damage, 4 for survivability and 5 for utility. The Chanter is the hybrid with more damage. Pick the Cleric to be the healer parties form around. Coming from the melee side? Our AION 2 Gladiator build covers the class you will most often be keeping alive.

FAQ

What are the best Cleric Stigmas?

Light of Protection (87% of tracked top Clerics), Noble Aura (79%), Earth Punishment (65%) and Summon Resurrection (64%), per MetaBot. Swap Noble Aura in for Light of Protection when a Chanter is in the party.

Why does Condemnation not work?

Condemnation only hits a target carrying your Chain of Torment, so cast Chain of Torment first. Its cooldown reset needs the level 12 specialty equipped.
