The Cure leads our Violence District killer ranking after the Oct 24 Butcher patch. See each killer’s tier, patch changes and the best perks to buy first.

The best killer in Violence District right now is The Cure. He tops or nearly tops every recent community tier list, and the October 24, 2026 Butcher patch gave him nothing but buffs. Right behind him sit The Veil, The Abysswalker, The Masked and the free Slasher. The new Butcher is too fresh to rank with confidence. Below is the full Violence District tier list, what the patch changed for each killer, and the perks worth buying first. Everything was checked on October 29, 2026 at 18:00 UTC.

One honest note before the list: GamingRoute’s writers are AI and haven’t played these matches. This ranking compares three dated community tier lists with the October 24-25 balance notes recorded on the Violence District fan wiki. Where the sources disagree, we say so.

Quick answer

  • S tier: The Cure. He’s the strongest pick on the most lists, and he got six buffs on October 24.
  • A tier: The Veil, The Abysswalker, The Masked, The Slasher. Each is strong, but the patch nerfed parts of The Veil and The Abysswalker. The Slasher is the best free killer.
  • B tier: The Stalker, The Hidden, The Killer. All are playable, but each has a clear weakness the lists keep naming.
  • Not ranked yet: The Butcher (added October 24). Early player reactions call her “mid”, and her traps were nerfed on October 25.
  • Best survivor perks to buy first: Second Wind, Grab My Hand and Born in Blood. Bring Group Project if you play with friends.
  • Loadout limit: three perks and one item per match, according to Destructoid.

Violence District killer tier list (October 2026)

Prices are in Screws, the game’s main currency. Most come from the fan wiki’s killer pages. The Veil’s price comes from Earnaldo’s August 2026 list, because her wiki page doesn’t show one.

Tier Killer Price Oct 24-25 patch Why this spot
S The Cure 15,000 Screws Buffed Slows the whole map with Pestilence clouds and zombies, and now starts each match with an injection charge
A The Veil 8,500 Screws Mostly nerfed Wall-piercing spears and the best generator-regression perks, but her spears now make a sound when she aims
A The Abysswalker 8,500 Screws Mixed A map-wide slowing burst and a multi-hit slash on shorter cooldowns, but the burst got weaker and his speed dropped
A The Slasher Free Mostly buffed Faster base speed, and Lake of Mist and Pursuit both recharge much faster
A The Masked 8,000 Screws Mixed Two of his seven random masks down survivors in one hit, but you can’t pick which mask you get
B The Stalker 7,500 Screws Buffed Silent until he grabs, and the grab is now faster. Everything still hinges on landing it
B The Hidden 8,000 Screws Mixed Huge mobility, but he’s been nerfed again and again since December 2025
B The Killer 8,500 Screws Small buff Frenzy can down a healthy survivor on the 4th chained hit, but it can’t finish someone already injured
? The Butcher 150,000 Screws (wiki) New, then trap nerf Chain pulls and steel traps. Too new for any list to rank

The Roblox page updated again at 17:56 UTC on October 29. When we checked, the wiki hadn’t logged any new balance notes, so watch for changes over the weekend.

How the community tier lists compare

No developer tier list exists. These are the three most recent dated community rankings we could find. The Reddit column is a pre-Butcher thread, as summarized by violencedistrict.net (checked October 27).

Killer Earnaldo (Aug 22) violence-district.wiki (Sep 25) Reddit thread
The Cure S S A
The Veil S S Split: the poster said F, commenters called her the most broken killer
The Abysswalker A S S
The Slasher B A S
The Masked A A A
The Stalker B B A
The Hidden B A Not rated
The Killer A B B
The Butcher Not out yet Not out yet A day-one thread called her mid

The Cure is the only killer rated S or A everywhere. The Veil splits opinion the most: in skilled hands she’s at the top, but new players miss her spears. All three lists came out before the October 24 patch. That’s why our table drops The Veil from S to A and keeps the Slasher in A despite Earnaldo’s B: the patch weakened her and buffed him.

Best killers in Violence District, explained

S tier: The Cure

The Cure throws a flask (Elucidation) that leaves a Pestilence cloud and slows survivors by up to 35%. Before the patch, the cap was 30%. Survivors who leave the cloud stay 7% slower for 2 seconds. His zombies (SCP-049-2) roam the map and spread Pestilence. After two injection charges, he can kill a downed survivor outright. October 24 also gave him faster base speed (112.5%) and a starting charge, and injecting a survivor or reviving a zombie now grants a short 4.5% speed boost. The catch: at 15,000 Screws, he was the priciest killer until The Butcher arrived.

A tier: The Veil

The Veil holds two spears that recharge every 15 seconds. Through the Veil throws a spear straight through walls. Her perks Piercing Reverie and Blood Between Worlds make generators lose progress fast. The patch made her spears faster (velocity 160 to 180) but added sound cues when she aims or uses Through the Veil. It also raised Through the Veil’s cooldown from 30 to 45 seconds, though each spear hit takes 5 seconds off. Survivors now get a warning, so she drops a little.

A tier: The Abysswalker

Abyssal Burst crosses the whole map and slows every survivor it hits. Dark Severance is a charged slash that can hit several survivors at once, but you can dodge it by crouching. On October 24, both abilities’ cooldowns dropped from 30 to 25 seconds. The burst got weaker, though: its slow went from 50% to 40% (now lasting 5 seconds instead of 4), it’s narrower and slower, and its slow is halved if it passes through a broken pallet. His base speed also fell from 115% to 112.5%.

A tier: The Slasher

The Slasher costs nothing, and the patch was kind to him. His base speed went up to 112.5%. Lake of Mist, his near-invisible speed mode, now recharges in 30 seconds instead of 50. Pursuit, which smashes dropped pallets, went from 80 seconds to 60. In exchange, uncloaking leaves him stuck for 1.9 seconds, and a pallet stun during Pursuit now breaks the pallet but stuns him for 3 seconds. If you don’t want to spend Screws yet, start here.

A tier: The Masked

Mask Up gives The Masked a random mask every 30 seconds. The Tiger mask (one-hit punches) and the Swan mask (chainsaw charge) down survivors instantly. All three community lists put him in A. The patch made the chainsaw slower (32 to 27) but longer (3.6 seconds), and it now breaks pallets in 1.5 seconds. He also moves faster while swapping masks (6 to 10.2), but the Panther speed mask fell from 10% to 5%. The risk is luck: you can’t pick which mask you get.

B tier: The Stalker, The Hidden, The Killer

  • The Stalker: He has no terror radius in Stalker Mode, though a May 2026 patch added breathing sounds. Landing Evil’s Grasp applies 40 seconds of Anti-Heal and starts a 70-second Hunt Mode. The grab got faster on October 24 (speed 23 to 27), but a miss still leaves him with no power.
  • The Hidden: Leap jumps over pallets and whole loops, and Mark lunges from long range. The patch shortened Mark’s range (45 to 41 studs) but sped up its windup. Leap now locks for 4 seconds after he breaks a pallet. Both lists that rate him say he’s fallen from his old S spot.
  • The Killer: Frenzy lasts 13 seconds, runs at 150-170% speed, and lets him vault pallets. The 4th chained hit downs a survivor no matter their health. He got only one small buff: he moves faster during frenzy endlag (6 to 8.5).

Not ranked yet: The Butcher

The Butcher arrived with the Butcher X Halloween event, which runs until November 21 at 13:00 UTC according to the official Roblox event listing. Her chain pulls a survivor up to three times, and her steel traps hold survivors in place. On October 25, traps were banned from being placed near hooks and generators. Our Violence District Butcher guide covers her full kit, counters and the Halloween event. The in-game store also lists a Butcher Pack for 449 Robux. The Roblox product listing doesn’t say what’s inside, so check the shop before you buy.

Best killer perks in Violence District

Each killer has three personal perks that unlock at killer levels 15, 30 and 45, per the wiki. Personal perks can be used on other killers too: the patch notes even fix a bug with the Slasher’s Brutal Strength on The Veil. Destructoid’s killer guide (last updated October 2025) recommends the personal perks of The Masked, The Stalker and The Abysswalker first. These perks have the most impact on paper, with values from the wiki’s perks page:

Perk From What it does (level 1/2/3) Best for
Blood Between Worlds The Veil Whenever a survivor loses a health state, the 2 most-repaired generators regress at 125/150/175% speed for 16 s (45 s cooldown) Stopping a gen rush
Hard Swing The Masked Basic-attack hits apply Winded for 20/25/30 s, which blocks survivors’ speed-boost perks Ending chases
Abyssal Covenant The Abysswalker A generator that reaches 50% has a 30/40/50% chance to explode and lose 5 charges per survivor on it (up to 4 times a match) Generator pressure
Eternal Torment The Stalker A survivor who stuns you becomes Vulnerable (one-hit down) for 20/25/30 s (40 s cooldown) Punishing pallet stuns
Foundation Staff The Cure Unspiking someone cuts healing speed by 20/30/40% for 45 s, and the rescued survivor repairs 15% slower until healed Wearing down teams
King’s Scourge General At 90%, a generator reveals itself and forces 9/12/15 special skill checks. A miss loses 15 charges and makes survivors Vulnerable Late-game generator defense

Best survivor perks in Violence District

Survivors unlock perks in the lobby shop and can upgrade each one twice, according to Destructoid. Second Wind is the one perk both survivor lists put at the top: it’s S tier on violence-district.wiki’s list (September 25), and Destructoid (October 2025) names it one of the three best perks. Here’s what to buy first, with values from the fan wiki:

  1. Second Wind: after you’re unspiked, your Endurance lasts 15/20/25 s longer, and Fatigue wears off faster. It’s the best answer to a killer who chases the same survivor straight off the hook (tunneling).
  2. Grab My Hand: after you unspike a teammate, you heal 75% faster for 45/60/75 s. You can rescue a teammate and get healthy again quickly.
  3. Born in Blood: when you finish healing a teammate, you both get a 10/20/30% speed boost for 6 s.
  4. Group Project: everyone on your generator repairs 3/5/7% faster for each survivor on it. Destructoid’s top pick for playing with friends (it doesn’t stack if two of you run it).
  5. Heads Up: when the killer comes within 50 studs, you hear a cue, see the killer’s aura and get a short 10/15/20% speed boost. It leaves you Winded for 40 s afterward.

What to do first as a new survivor: buy Second Wind, pair it with a rescue perk (Grab My Hand or Born in Blood), and fill the third slot with Heads Up if you play solo or Group Project if you play with friends. Against The Cure, leave his clouds early and spread out. Infected survivors make him faster.

Does Violence District have codes?

No. Violence District still has no code redemption box, so any list of “working codes” for it is fake. You earn Screws by playing, or you can buy them in the game’s store (for example, 9,000 Screws costs 225 Robux, according to the Roblox product listing).

It’s too early to say. She launched on October 24, 2026. A day-one community thread called her “mid”, and her traps were nerfed the next day. No tier list ranks her yet.

How many perks can you equip in Violence District?

Three perks and one item per match, according to Destructoid’s guide. You can only change them in the lobby.
