The best Two Point Campus tips come down to three numbers. Every Campus Level pays 10 Course Points. A new course costs 10 Course Points for each year it lasts. The tuition-fee meter sits at only 50% when fees are at their default. So grow your Campus Level first, add courses slowly, and spend early money on dorms, toilets and a Private Tuition room before you build anything fancy. The tables below come from the Two Point Campus Wiki (Fandom), Two Point Studios’ patch notes on Steam and three dated player guides, checked November 1, 2026.

Two Point Campus tips and tricks: quick answer
- Course Points: you earn 10 each time your Campus Level goes up, and you never lose them if the level drops (wiki). The maximum Campus Level is 101.
- New courses: 10 Course Points per year of the course, so a 3-year course costs 30. Upgrade one or two courses at a time, not everything at once.
- Money: tuition, monthly dorm rent, stall and machine sales, and a monthly XP bonus. Keep about $30,000 in the bank (GamesRadar’s rule of thumb).
- Grades: students who fall behind visit the Private Tuition room (3×2, $6,600). Send anyone below a C there by hand.
- Dorms: plan at least 1 bed for every 5 students (wiki). Rent comes in every month.
- Every room: add a plant, posters and a bin. They’re cheap and raise Attractiveness and Room Prestige.
- Loans: Two Point Bank lends $25,000-$50,000 at 5%. The bigger lenders charge 10-15% and need Campus Level 4 or 6.

How to get Course Points in Two Point Campus
Course Points (CP) come from one place only: your Campus Level. According to the wiki, each new level pays 10 CP. Points you’ve earned stay banked even if the level falls back, and you don’t get paid twice for reaching the same level again. GamesRadar’s Course Points guide (August 2022) says the same: CP are “tied solely” to Campus Level.
The game doesn’t publish an exact Campus Level formula. The wiki lists what feeds it: rooms, buildings and plots, total staff and their qualifications, student numbers and XP, graduates, course levels, Prestige and some decoration items. In practice the level climbs as you expand with well-furnished rooms and trained staff.
You spend Course Points in the Manage Courses screen between academic years. Each course has a gear icon that previews what an upgrade will demand (rooms, teachers, items) before you confirm. GamesRadar suggests taking a year off upgrades now and then so your money and buildings can catch up.
Two Point Campus course upgrade costs (Course Level 1-10)
Each course starts at Course Level 1. Raising it does two things, according to the wiki. It adds 5 applicants per level, and it lifts the maximum qualification your teachers can train in that subject. New applicant numbers only arrive at the start of the next academic year. The higher qualification cap works straight away, so you can start training teachers right after you upgrade.
| Course Level | Applicants | Max teacher qualification | 1-year course (CP) | 2-year | 3-year | 4-year |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 (start) | 10 | 3 | 10 | 20 | 30 | 40 |
| 2 | 15 | 4 | 10 | 15 | 20 | 25 |
| 3 | 20 | 5 | 15 | 20 | 25 | 30 |
| 4 | 25 | 6 | 20 | 25 | 30 | 35 |
| 5 | 30 | 6 | 25 | 30 | 35 | 40 |
| 6 | 35 | 7 | 30 | 35 | 40 | 45 |
| 7 | 40 | 7 | 35 | 40 | 45 | 50 |
| 8 | 45 | 8 | 40 | 45 | 50 | 55 |
| 9 | 50 | 9 | 45 | 50 | 55 | 60 |
| 10 | 55 | 10 | 50 | 55 | 60 | 65 |
Adding up the wiki’s numbers, maxing one 3-year course from scratch costs 390 CP, or 39 Campus Levels. A 1-year course costs 280 CP, a 2-year course 335 and a 4-year course 445. That’s our sum, not an in-game figure. It’s why spreading points across too many new courses stalls a campus. Each course you add also needs its own rooms and teachers. You can also lower a course’s intake instead of filling it. The wiki says fewer students raises the Learning Rate for the ones you have.
Which courses to add first
General Knowledge is the only 1-year course in the base game and the cheapest at 10 CP. The wiki rates it Easy. Scientography (3 years, Easy) unlocks at Freshleigh Meadows, the first campus. Most later courses cost 20-30 CP and are rated Medium or Hard. School of Thought is the one 4-year course (40 CP, Very Hard). Archaeology is the course that can earn money directly (see the money section).
How to make money in Two Point Campus
Income lands at the end of each month as one profit or loss figure. Diamond Lobby’s money guide (updated February 2023) notes the game gives you no detailed breakdown, so it helps to know where the money comes from:
- Tuition. It’s your biggest income. Raising fees on the Manage Courses screen means fewer students enrol and the ones you have are less happy. The wiki says the Tuition Fees happiness meter is only half full at default rates, and filling it “would mean certain bankruptcy unless you have other revenue”. Change fees in small steps and watch happiness.
- Dorm rent. Students placed in dorms pay rent every month (wiki). Diamond Lobby calls dorms “a big chunk of profit”.
- Stalls and machines. Food stalls, vending machines and arcade machines all take money. Stalls need an Assistant, but Diamond Lobby says they still turn a profit.
- The monthly XP bonus. The wiki says you earn extra fees every month as your students level up. Better teaching therefore pays twice.
- Star rewards. Finishing all of a star’s objectives pays a large cash bonus plus Kudosh. A campus can have up to 3 stars (wiki).
- Archaeology. Students dig up artefacts that you can sell or display. GGRecon’s money guide (August 2022) says lucky finds sell for “tens of thousands of dollars”. The wiki explains that a kept artefact gains $159-$500 of value each month up to its cap. Unsold ones sell automatically when the dig site resets, and junk finds lower Attractiveness.
- Commercial research. Once you have a Research Lab (unlocks at Mitton University, $40,100 base), an idle Research Hub generates commercial projects tied to your courses. Finished projects pay money or Kudosh (wiki).
Don’t build only for looks. GamesRadar’s beginner tips point out that some items, like the basic Library Reception, have no effect. Hover over an item before buying to check its bonuses.

Loans: which one to take
| Lender | Amount | Interest | Repayment | Needs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Two Point Bank | $25,000-$50,000 | 5% a year | $1,097-$2,194 a month for 24 months | Nothing |
| Swindles | $75,000-$100,000 | 10% a year | $3,461-$4,615 a month for 24 months | Campus Level 4 |
| $MC (Smell My Cash) | $150,000-$250,000 | 15% a year | $5,200-$8,667 a month for 36 months | Campus Level 6 |
Terms are from the wiki’s Loans page. You can repay any loan in full whenever you have the cash. Only borrow for something that earns, like a dorm block or a room a course requires. GamesRadar warns against taking a small loan, running short again and then stacking a second one.
Two Point Campus room sizes and costs for a new campus
These are the minimum sizes and base prices from each room’s wiki page. Bigger rooms and furniture cost more.

Before each academic year, the objectives panel lists Campus Requirements: the rooms and staff that year’s timetable needs. You can start the year without them, but each one becomes a countdown. If it runs out, the class doesn’t happen and grades drop (wiki). Pause and build those first. GamesRadar’s starter order is the required rooms, then a Library, a Dormitory with several beds and a Bathroom with at least two toilets. Leave the expensive Lecture Theatres and new plots until money is coming in.
Best dorm layout tips
- Beds: a dorm needs a door, a wardrobe and at least one bed. Plan at least 1 bed for every 5 students (wiki). Students are assigned rooms automatically.
- Crowding hurts: each student’s Accommodation score reflects their dorm, and crowding, low Attractiveness or low Prestige pull it down (wiki).
- Decorate: desks, bedside tables, drawers, rugs, windows and the Dorm Noticeboard are all on the wiki’s recommended list.
- Who sleeps where: you can limit each dorm by sex and by course.
- Use the summer: the wiki suggests letting students who live on campus recover their needs over Summer Vacation before next year’s classes start.
Keep students happy (and learning)
Learning Rate depends on student mood, teacher mood and the teacher’s qualification in the subject (wiki). Unhappy or exhausted students learn slower and get worse grades. A student far behind their classmates learns the same material more slowly. That’s what Private Tuition is for: low-grade students go there automatically, and you can send anyone by hand. Check grades under Personnel Management. GamesRadar’s line is that anyone under a C needs tuition.
Needs to cover: Energy, Healthiness, Food, Drink, Toilet Comfort, Hygiene and (students only) Entertainment. Update 1.5 (September 27, 2022) changed student behaviour in two ways. Students with low needs now deal with them before other activities, and they look for nearby options while queueing for a room. Put water coolers, vending machines and bins near busy classrooms. Student Lounges, parties, gigs and film nights cover Entertainment.
Check the heat map on cold and hot campuses. According to the wiki, cold maps need heating inside and outside buildings, and hot maps need cooling only inside. The mini radiators and air-con units from Update 1.5 help you fit them into small rooms.

Clubs worth recruiting for
Clubs unlock after your first academic year at Piazza Lanatra. Students join at recruitment stands, and an Assistant at the stand boosts recruitment. Members level from 1 to 10 for bigger perks (wiki).
| Club | Effect | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Book Club | Learning Rate per member level | Better grades and the XP bonus |
| Power-Nap Club | Members sleep anywhere to recover Energy | Campuses short on dorm space |
| Speed Walking Club | Movement speed per level | Big multi-building campuses |
| Nature Club | Members tend plants and keep campus attractive | Outdoor-heavy maps |
| Orb Club | The Orb Foundation donates cash when members level up (the donation grows $250 per level), but members lose 3% happiness per level | A cash boost if happiness is already high |
| Time Tourism Club (Space Academy DLC) | Entertainment mini-breaks | Space Academy campuses |
Is Two Point Campus still getting updates?
Not with new content. Two Point Studios has since moved on to Two Point Museum (see our Two Point Museum money guide). Campus’s last content patch was Small Update 10.3.169024 on December 4, 2024. It added Doncon items for Jingle Jam and unlocked the Private Pets bundle for everyone, a month after the Cheeseball bundle. The latest PC build is Hotfix 10.3.169253 (October 10, 2025), a security patch for CVE-2025-59489, according to the official Steam announcements. The game came out on August 9, 2022 (Steam date) and is on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Its three expansions are Space Academy, School Spirits and Medical School, plus smaller item packs. On November 1, 2026, Steam listed it at $29.99 (the October franchise sale had it at 90% off until October 15).

FAQ
How do you get more Course Points in Two Point Campus?
Raise your Campus Level. Each new level pays 10 Course Points. Expanding with furnished rooms, adding plots, hiring and training staff, recruiting students and raising Prestige all push the level up.
Why are my students failing their courses?
Usually because of low mood, a missing room for one of the course’s classes or assignments, or a teacher with too low a qualification. Check Campus Requirements before the year starts, train teachers up to the course’s cap, and send students below a C to Private Tuition.
How many beds do I need in a dorm?
The wiki advises at least 1 bed for every 5 students. More beds and better decoration raise the Accommodation part of happiness, and every student in a dorm pays monthly rent.
Should I raise tuition fees in Two Point Campus?
Only slowly. Higher fees mean fewer applicants and unhappier students, and fewer students also means less rent and stall income. Raise fees in small steps once happiness is high, and lower them if enrolment drops.
