Spoiler warning: this guide explains how the hidden ending is triggered. It does not describe the final cutscenes, but it does name late-game areas, bosses and side quests.
Mina the Hollower has two endings: the standard ending most players see, and a hidden Blameless “Good” ending. To get the secret ending you have to reach Lionel’s dinner at Radiant Manor without having done anything the guests can blame Mina for. Yacht Club Games published the full list of conditions on June 22, 2026, and almost all of them are things you must not do.
- Number of endings: two, the normal ending and the secret Blameless ending (Yacht Club calls it the Blameless “Good” ending).
- Where it is decided: the dinner scene at Radiant Manor, when Lionel asks his guests for complaints about Mina.
- How to check progress: the Spark Restorator in the Underlab blinks a faint blue-green while you are still blameless.
- Main rules: break no more than 4 candles, no street lamps, use the train only once, buy at most one weapon, never become Beast Mina, and skip most side quests.
- Things you must do: talk to Cappy a few times and give the nicer answer, give Bones to every beggar, sell at least one item at Pawnty’s Exchange and save all the schoolchildren in Septemburg.
- Release check: Mina the Hollower is already out (May 2026) on Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC for $19.99. The October 31 date you may have seen was the original 2025 date, which was delayed.

How many endings does Mina the Hollower have?
Two. A normal playthrough ends one way. A run where Mina has stayed completely blameless unlocks a different outcome at the same point in the story. Yacht Club confirmed the second one in a June 22 blog post: “Yes, it is real. Mina the Hollower has a hidden secret ending!” The studio adds that it is “not quite what you think”, so don’t expect a simple bonus scene.
How the Blameless ending works
Late in the game, Lionel hosts a dinner at Radiant Manor. According to Yacht Club, he normally asks the guests whether they have any complaints about Mina, and in a regular run they list her misdeeds. In a blameless run nobody has anything bad to say. That changes what happens next. PC Gamer, summing up the route first mapped by YouTuber ChickenSoup, reports that Lionel then asks Mina to join him on his own quest, which leads into the hidden ending.
A single misdeed anywhere on Tenebrous Isle is enough to lock you out. The only check Yacht Club describes is the light in the Underlab, so the progress check below matters.

How to check if you are still blameless
Visit the Underlab and look at the Spark Restorator. Per Yacht Club’s guide:
- Faint blue-green light blinking: you are still eligible for the good ending.
- No blinking: Mina has already done something Lionel can blame her on. That run will get the normal ending.
Check the Restorator each time you finish a region. If the light has stopped, you know which region caused it, so you can reload an earlier save (if you keep one) instead of finding out at the dinner table.
Mina the Hollower secret ending requirements
This is Yacht Club’s official checklist, grouped by area and put in our own words. “Avoid” means doing it even once ruins the run, unless a number is given.
Rules that apply everywhere
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Candles | Break or hit 4 at most. The 5th disqualifies you. |
| Street lamps | Never break or attack one. |
| Grinnsly | Don’t dance with him. |
| Fishing | Don’t fish up any collectible fish. |
| Beast Mina | Never transform. |
| Klumpy | Don’t do any Klumpy surprises. |
| The Dugin | Don’t defeat it. |
Region by region
| Area | Do | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Loner’s Landing | Talk to Cappy a few times before you leave him; pick the nicer answer to his question | – |
| Ossex Orphanage | Skip the orphanage cutscene | Breaking any presents |
| Ossex | Give Bones to every beggar; sell at least 1 item at Pawnty’s Exchange | Extending Furl’s nose; borrowing Elizabeth’s head; battling Wonder Willis; riding the train more than once; slipping past Komodore into the Music Hall; buying more than 1 weapon (Armand gets angry); buying from Panino; talking to the Rich Lady (the gold passerby on the high street); kicking the can with the children outside Lionel’s mansion; taking the bike behind the house; looking through the telescope; hitting back when Frayd robs you |
| Southern Outskirts | – | Saving Rhene |
| Knight’s Rest | – | Visiting Mina’s grave |
| Queensbury Crypt | – | Digging up all the graves for Gravedigger Sodsby; triggering Midden’s fight; entombing The Duke |
| Sandfalls | – | Touching Mite |
| Nox’s Bayou | – | Killing the Mock Moon |
| Eastern Heath | – | Cutting down the kite; defeating Maxi |
| Western Wilds | – | Doing Franz’s quest; getting caught in the darkness |
| Backwaters | – | Taking Pinky’s ladder; giving Buffo his full jug back |
| Mirror’s End | – | Returning any brains to Dr. Naught |
| Kindlewood | – | Burrowing under Gourdan; stepping on the leaf; helping the Tomato Farmer with drinking vials; seeing Dark Deluxy |
| Septemburg | Save all the schoolchildren from The Carving Man | Releasing any scarecrows |
| Bone Beach | – | Saving the fiancé; breaking the message in a bottle on the shore |
| Coltrane Peak | – | Talking to Rupert the Artifact Seeker; defeating Mirren |
The train rule has one exception. Yacht Club counts a train use every time you arrive at a station, but if you lose to Thorne in the Frozen Trainyard, riding the train back to him does not count against you.
With every row met, go to the dinner scene at Radiant Manor as normal.

Why early guides list different rules
The first public route came from players, about a week before Yacht Club’s own post. PC Gamer’s June 14 summary of it also warns against restoring the Hollower Guild, watching the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the start and getting the fishing rod. Yacht Club’s list doesn’t name the Guild or the rod; it only bans fishing up collectible fish and says to skip the orphanage cutscene. Where the two disagree, follow the developer’s list, and use the Spark Restorator to confirm.
Is the Blameless run worth it on a first playthrough?
Probably not, unless you like a challenge. Because the rules rule out most side quests, you also give up their rewards. PC Gamer notes this makes the main game noticeably tougher. A few practical points follow from the rules themselves:
- Plan your one weapon purchase. You can buy one weapon in total, so pick the one that suits you before you shop.
- Plan the single train ride. Every station arrival counts, so most travel has to be on foot.
- Treat candles as off-limits. They often hold items, but the 4-candle allowance runs out fast if you swing near them.
- Don’t fight back when robbed. If Frayd robs you, let it go.
- Keep a backup save before each region and check the Restorator light when you leave it.
Yacht Club doesn’t say whether New Game Plus carries over or resets your blame, so the Restorator light is the safe way to check on any save. The studio credits speedrunner Magic Mad Man as the first to finish a blameless run during internal playtests. He did it with -5% item completion.

FAQ
Does Mina the Hollower have multiple endings?
Yes, two: the normal ending and the hidden Blameless ending. Which one you get is decided at Lionel’s dinner at Radiant Manor.
How do you get the secret ending in Mina the Hollower?
Reach the Radiant Manor dinner without any misdeeds on Yacht Club’s list: at most 4 broken candles, no lamps, one train ride, one weapon bought, no Beast Mina, most side quests skipped. You also need to give Bones to every beggar, sell one item at Pawnty’s, give Cappy the nicer answer and save all the Septemburg schoolchildren.
How do I know if I am still on track for the good ending?
Go to the Underlab. If the Spark Restorator blinks a faint blue-green, you are still blameless. If it doesn’t blink, that save will get the normal ending.
Is Mina the Hollower coming out on October 31?
No. October 31, 2025 was the original date before the delay. The game has been out since late May 2026 on every platform.
