Marvel Rivals’ 50-player Thanos PvE mode opens again Oct 24 at 18:00 UTC. Every session time, the free Winter Soldier Cap costume, missions and boss tips.

Marvel Rivals’ Path to Doomsday: Avengers: Endgame is a 50-player PvE raid against Thanos, and it is only open in two-hour windows. The next one is today, October 24, from 18:00 to 20:00 UTC (2-4 PM ET, 11 AM-1 PM PT, 7-9 PM UK). Finishing a single match earns the free Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume. NetEase’s Version 20261022 patch notes say the mode runs on the same schedule each week for four weeks.

Quick answer

  • What it is: a co-op PvE mode where 50 players fight Thanos and his army in the ruins of the Avengers Compound, based on the final battle of Avengers: Endgame.
  • When: three sessions on Saturday October 24 (UTC): 01:00-03:00, 10:00-12:00 and 18:00-20:00. The same pattern should repeat for the next three weeks.
  • Free costume: “Complete 1 match” unlocks Captain America: The Winter Soldier plus the Infinity Finale title.
  • Three more missions: 20,000 damage to Thanos, 10,000 healing, 10 defeats. Rewards include a Thanos Plush accessory, sprays, an MVP animation, a nameplate and the “On Your Left” emote.
  • No queue needed: the Times Square screening gives a Gallery Card, and the photo op gives 100 Units, on any day until November 26.
  • Thanos is a boss, not a playable hero.

Schedule checked against the official patch notes and the @MarvelRivals schedule update on October 24, 2026, 16:50 UTC.

Marvel Rivals Endgame mode schedule: every session time

The event began with the October 22 patch (09:00 UTC) and lasts until November 26, 09:00 UTC. You can only queue for the mode during its sessions. NetEase first listed two sessions for October 24. On October 22 at 15:30 UTC, it added a third (“An extra session (Oct 24, 10:00 – 12:00) has been added”). That is why some guides still list only two, and why the 18:00 UTC window is now officially called Session 3, not Session 2.

Sat Oct 24 01:00-03:00 Fri Oct 23, 9-11 PM Fri Oct 23, 6-8 PM 2-4 AM BST Official, finished

Only the October 24 times are spelled out officially. For the later weeks, the patch notes say the mode “will be available for limited times each subsequent week based on this schedule”, so the rows marked “Expected” assume the same three Saturday windows. Each session lasts two hours. Local times shift twice: UK clocks go back on October 25, and US clocks go back on November 1. Check the in-game event page before you plan around a later week.

How to get the free Captain America Winter Soldier costume

The patch notes promise the “Captain America – Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume and other rewards for FREE”. The in-game event panel splits them into four missions. Data miner Dr. Always Right posted a screenshot of that panel on October 23, and marvelrivals.gg’s guide lists the same four:

Mission Rewards Who finishes it fastest
Complete 1 match Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume, Infinity Finale title Everyone (just finish the match)
Deal 20,000 damage to Thanos Thanos Plush accessory, Avengers: Endgame spray Duelists firing at the boss, not the minions
Heal allies 10,000 health Highway Hero MVP, Captain America: The Winter Soldier spray Strategists (healers)
Defeat 10 enemies Captain America: The Winter Soldier nameplate, “On Your Left” emote Anyone. Thanos’s army counts as enemies

The thresholds are low for a 50-player fight, but the healing mission only counts healing done to allies, so a Duelist main may need a second match on a support hero. The screenshot showed a timer of about 22 days 12 hours on October 23. That points to the missions closing around mid-November, near the last expected session, not at the November 26 event end. Don’t leave them for the final weekend.

How to play Path to Doomsday: Avengers: Endgame

  1. Install the October 22 update (Version 20261022). It needed no server downtime.
  2. Log in during a session window. Outside the windows the mode can’t be selected, even though the event page is live.
  3. Open Play, change mode, and pick the Avengers: Endgame PvE mode. The Infinity War 2v2 duos mode is a separate playlist (open until December 11) and doesn’t count toward these missions.
  4. Queue as any hero you own. NetEase hasn’t announced hero restrictions for the mode.

The official Avengers: Endgame mode trailer key art lists Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S and PS5. PS4 isn’t on it, and PlayHub also reports that the mode skips PS4. Treat PS4 support as unlikely until NetEase says otherwise.

Thanos boss phases and tips

NetEase hasn’t published official boss mechanics. The breakdown below comes from marvelrivals.gg, whose guide was updated at 11:09 UTC on October 24, after the first two sessions. Patches can change any of it.

Phase What Thanos does What to do
1 Melee and ranged attacks with the double-edged sword. Chitauri and Sakaaran troops chip away at you. Keep your distance from sword swings and avoid the minion packs.
2 Still uses the sword, plus Infinity Stone tricks: teleports, stuns, and a red Reality Stone zone that turns projectiles into bubbles. Don’t shoot from inside the red zone, because your shots won’t land.
3 Drops the sword for the Infinity Gauntlet. Power Stone homing shots, Mind Stone stun, Soul Stone beam (often aimed at flyers), Space Stone teleport. Sanctuary II missiles rain down when he raises the gauntlet. Look up when he holds the gauntlet still and move out of the missile paths. Two Power Stone hits can kill without healing.
4 At about 10% health he prepares the Snap, and an “Endgame” countdown bar appears. Use every ultimate and buff on him before the bar runs out. Healers keep healing, because the army still attacks.

A pre-launch guide from Skycoach worked from the trailer and placed the sword-to-gauntlet switch at around 50% health. The phase list above came out after players had been in the mode. Either way, the gauntlet phase is where most of the damage comes from. In a 50-player lobby you can’t easily keep track of everyone, so healers should stay with a group instead of chasing low-health players across the map.

Other Endgame freebies outside the PvE mode

Three side activities run alongside the PvE mode, and none of them needs a session window:

  • Times Square screening: watch the Avengers: Endgame Highlights Screening in the Times Square viewing area for two minutes straight to get the Gallery Card – Avengers: Endgame (until November 26, 09:00 UTC).
  • Times Square photo op: take a group photo with the NPCs at the photo walls outside the Avengers’ Gift Shop for 100 Units, according to the patch notes.
  • Twitch “Thanos raid”: from October 23, 5 PM to October 25, 11:59 PM PDT (October 24 00:00 to October 26 06:59 UTC), Thanos spawns as a mini-game boss in participating streamers’ channels via the Stream Avatars extension. Once viewers beat him 100 times across all channels, the top 20 channels split 3,000 gifted subs and in-game Units, per the official event page. The prizes go to channels, not to individual viewers.
  • Discord Infinity Stone Collector: a raffle on the official Marvel Rivals Discord until October 28 UTC (a Thanos Apprentice role, five Season 10 Battle Passes, Units for random collectors), per @MarvelRivals.

Season 10.5’s store also added Black Cat’s Fatal Weaver and Elsa Bloodstone’s Gothic Huntress bundles (October 23, 02:00 UTC to November 20, 02:00 UTC), plus Jeff the Land Shark’s Sharknos bundle and the Shawarma and The Snap emote bundles. Those are paid. The Endgame costume above is the free one. Marvel Rivals’ loot-box rating changed in Europe this month as well; see PEGI’s move to rate loot-box games 16. Other limited-time events also run this weekend, like the Fortnitemares 2026 quests and free rewards and Roblox’s The Hollow Halloween event.
