How to get the Rukiryaxe (the secret Den quest)
The Rukiryaxe, nicknamed the Shark Axe, is the best axe you can get at any time of year. The wiki ranks only The Many Axe and the Glorbaxe above it, and neither can be obtained any more. Its 1.68 damage and 0.4-second swing cooldown give 4.2 damage per second (DPS is damage divided by cooldown: 1.68 / 0.4 = 4.2).

What to do, in order:
- Buy the three items and one Dynamite (pay the $100 toll to cross the Bridge to Bob’s Shack).
- Go to the Taiga entrance to the right of spawn. If boulders block it, unbox the Dynamite next to them and press E (it blows after 5 seconds). In public servers someone may already have cleared it.
- In the Taiga, look for a faint red eagle on the cliff. The Den’s trapdoor is hidden under the snow below it. Hover over the snow until the “open” prompt appears.
- Throw the items down the hatch, jump in, unbox them and place them on the plates: worms for Gusmanak (left), sand for ZolarKeth (middle), lightbulb for Rukiryo (right).
- The room lights up, a choir plays and the Rukiryaxe drops from the ceiling. Grab it fast: the axe spawns unclaimed, so anyone in the room can take it.
There’s no cooldown, so you can repeat it as often as you can afford the items. The in-game hints are the three “Rukiryaxe Posters” at Wood R Us and the Land Store, plus a “FOLLOW THE RED EAGLE” poster in Merely’s bridge booth. End Times Axe: the October 31 secret
The End Times Event runs once a year on October 31, the last day of Lumber Tycoon 2’s Halloween event. That day the Den ritual gives the End Times Axe: 10 million damage per swing to Phantom Wood (hardness 80 million) and 3.95 DPS on everything else. Neither the wiki nor Roblox Den gives a start time, so watch the map. Per the wiki’s End Times page, you’ll see:
- a grey filter, thick fog, leafless trees, black water, rusted metal, wind instead of music, and posters reading “THE END IS NEAR”,
- more Spooky and Sinister Wood: the spawn cap goes from 2 to 3 trees and the spawn interval drops from 6 hours to 30 minutes. A spawning Spooky tree has a 1 in 100 chance to be Sinister instead.
The 2026 Halloween stock has been on sale since October 1: the Haunted Hatchet at Wood R Us ($16,661; 10.75 DPS on Spooky and Sinister Wood only) and the Burnt Bag of Candy at Fancy Furnishings ($1,009). In 2021 a Roblox outage pushed End Times to November 1 (wiki).

How to reach Phantom Wood in the Lone Cave
One Phantom Wood tree grows in the Lone Cave under the Bridge, and the next takes 7,200 minutes (5 days) to appear, so you realistically get one per server. You need a Preserved Enlarged Ostrich Eye, sold for $400,306 at Bob’s Shack in 2016 and now only traded. Balance it in the hole in a bridge booth’s window and pay the $100 toll: the Bridge sinks into the cave in about 2 minutes, and each toll keeps it down 3 minutes. The wiki suggests about six tolls, since the cave starts hurting you after roughly 25 minutes. Take only the End Times Axe, chop branches over the walkway before the trunk (or the tree can fall into the abyss), and use the left-hand hole to teleport yourself and your wood to the Safari Hole. A private server stops others from messing with the timer.

Lumber Tycoon 2 represented 2015 in The Hunt: Roblox 20, Roblox’s 20th-anniversary event, which ran from September 17 to September 28, 2026. The Roblox badges API shows how much harder the secret badge was: “You helped Geck!” has been awarded 3,373,372 times and “You got glorbed!” 279,124 times (checked October 28, 2026, 04:00 UTC).

The quest replayed old secrets. Each Purple Bag released 2-5 Glorbs cycling through one of 16 colour sequences that together form pixel art of an eye. The Glorb starting “Lavender, Dark Purple, Orange” (the iris) opened the Shrine of Sight, revealing a Fancy Lightbulb, Boutique Bag of Sand and Deluxe Can of Worms. On the Den plates, those dropped the Glorbaxe (1.8 damage / 0.38 s = 4.74 DPS).
Developer Defaultio said on X that Roblox had asked for secret quests that “required collaboration between users with deep knowledge of the games history”. After he agreed it was too hard for new players, updates added trusses, red cave lighting and a Taiga scaffold; the wiki says most were removed after the event. The Skeleton no longer talks and the Glorbaxe page lists the axe as unobtainable, unless you still hold the three fancy items or the correct Glorb. The Strange Man and the Lost Cave
The Lost Cave is a pitch-black cave system under the Snow Peninsula, to the left of the Taiga entrance. Added quietly in September 2017, it holds the Skeleton and the Strange Man, whose offer is the most expensive purchase in the game: “I can grant you the power to build with ease. The cost is $10,009,000.” Easy Building (Super Blueprints) makes any blueprint fill with 1 unit of wood, on that save slot. The Super Blueprints game pass gives the same power on all six slots for 720 Robux (Roblox game-pass API).

What to bring, per the wiki: several Worklights ($80 each at Wood R Us), because the cave has no light at all; at least three Dynamite (one for the rock over the entrance, one for the block on top of the pillar in the second corridor, one spare to get out); and a long plank to climb the last wall into the Strange Man’s den.
Shrine of Sight and the Bold and Brash painting
Blow up the inset in the back wall of the Rock Bridge Cave, up the Mountainside, with Dynamite. A sloped path leads down to a stone door between two lava pits, under the faint words “Deliver My Sight”. Players solved it in January 2017: cubes from the BIG GIFT tile into a portrait of Defaultio, and grey cubes 12 and 13 are his eyes. Open Cube 12 until it reaches light grey (22 openings counting the gift, according to the wiki) and Cube 13 23 times. Then drop 12 into the left hole and 13 into the right. Behind the door sits Bold and Brash, the Squidward painting, which says its name when you press E. The BIG GIFT was a past Christmas item, so today the cubes or the painting mostly change hands by trading.
Other hidden places in Lumberland
- Green Box: a spinning box glowing green at the end of the Lava Cavern, reached by dragging a long plank through a hidden walkway in the Volcano obstacle. Touching it shows “Your success has been noted.” The wiki says the touch is logged to Defaultio; its purpose is unknown.
- Ticktatwert Memorial: the fifth sandbank at the back of the River Tunnel, under the Swamp, honours a well-known player who died in 2018. Snowglow Wood grows only there. Dynamite on the Swamp Rock drops you straight onto that sandbank, but you need a plank or a prior setup to climb back out.
- Cavecrawler Cavern: a glowing blue cave deep in the Maze (Tropics, $400 Ferry ticket each way). Seven black walls change every four days and can cut it off. The Maze’s Safari Exit Hole teleports you and your wood back to the mainland for free.
