From Nov 1 the Fortnite shop resets at 7 PM ET and Genshin at 4 AM ET, while Epic freebies stay 11 AM ET and Steam 10 AM PT. 10 games in UTC, ET, PT.

Daylight saving time ends in the US on Sunday, November 1, at 2:00 a.m. local time, so game resets that run on UTC land one hour earlier on US clocks from that day. The Fortnite Item Shop now changes at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT) instead of 8 p.m. ET, and Genshin Impact’s America server resets at 4 a.m. ET instead of 5 a.m. Games that keep a US time do the opposite: Epic’s free games still swap at 11 a.m. ET, and Steam deals still change at 10 a.m. PT, but both move an hour later in UTC.

Below are the new game reset times after daylight saving for 10 games and stores, each taken from the publisher’s own pages, notes or data, with UTC, ET and PT side by side. All times were checked October 31, 2026, 16:30 UTC.

Quick answer: what changes on November 1

  • Clocks: US Eastern moves from UTC-4 to UTC-5 and Pacific from UTC-7 to UTC-8. The UK and EU already went back on October 25.
  • Earlier on US clocks (UTC resets): Fortnite Item Shop, Genshin Impact daily reset, Marvel Rivals patches and store bundles, Roblox event times.
  • Same on US clocks (US-time resets): Epic Games Store free games, Steam Daily Deals and Weeklong Deals, Call of Duty’s Season 1 launch and, according to schedule trackers, MONOPOLY GO events.
  • No change anywhere: Pokémon GO events, which run on your local time.
  • Fortnite v43.00 downtime: November 1, 05:00 to 08:00 UTC, which is 1 a.m. EDT to 3 a.m. EST. It’s a three-hour window, but on an Eastern clock it looks like two.

When do the clocks go back in 2026?

In the US, NIST says daylight saving time runs “from March 8 at 2 a.m. (local time) to November 1 at 2 a.m. (local time)” in 2026. Eastern Time switches at 06:00 UTC and Pacific Time at 09:00 UTC. Hawaii, Arizona (except the Navajo Nation), Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa and the US Virgin Islands don’t use daylight saving time, so their game times don’t move.

In the UK, GOV.UK lists October 25, 2026 as the day the clocks went back, at 2 a.m. on the last Sunday in October. Most of Europe switched at the same moment. For the week from October 25 to November 1, the UK is only four hours ahead of New York instead of five, which is why some US-timed events looked an hour off to UK players this week.

Games that reset in UTC: an hour earlier on US clocks

1. Fortnite Item Shop: 7 p.m. ET from November 1

Epic’s own shop data starts each day’s Item Shop at 00:00 UTC. That was 8 p.m. EDT, and from Sunday it’s 7 p.m. EST and 4 p.m. PST. In the UK the shop has turned over at midnight since October 25. Our Fortnite Item Shop today page tracks the daily rotation.

2. Fortnite v43.00 downtime falls across the clock change

Epic’s status page lists “Fortnite: Downtime for v43.00 Update” for November 1, 05:00 to 08:00 UTC. Epic’s notice says it “begins at 1 AM ET (5 AM UTC)”, and matchmaking turns off 30 minutes earlier. US Eastern clocks fall back at 06:00 UTC, in the middle of the window, so the scheduled end is 3 a.m. EST, not 4 a.m. On the West Coast it runs from 10 p.m. PDT on October 31 to 1 a.m. PDT, because Pacific doesn’t switch until 09:00 UTC. Our Fortnite server status page will show when the servers are back.

3. Genshin Impact daily reset: 4 a.m. ET on the America server

HoYoverse says the in-game daily reset happens at “Server Time 04:00”, and its update notes give each server’s time zone: America UTC-5, Europe UTC+1, Asia and TW/HK/MO UTC+8. Server time doesn’t observe daylight saving time, so it changes on your clock instead:

  • America server: 09:00 UTC, which is now 4 a.m. EST and 1 a.m. PST (was 5 a.m. EDT and 2 a.m. PDT).
  • Europe server: 03:00 UTC, which is 3 a.m. in the UK and 4 a.m. in Central Europe since October 25 (was 4 a.m. BST).
  • Asia server: 20:00 UTC, which is now 3 p.m. EST.

Version 7.2 arrives November 4. HoYoverse hasn’t posted the maintenance time yet. Recent versions started at 06:00 UTC+8, and if 7.2 does the same, servers go down at 22:00 UTC on November 3, which is 5 p.m. EST. Treat that as an estimate until HoYoverse posts its maintenance notice, usually two days before an update.

4. Marvel Rivals: patches at 4 a.m. ET, bundles at 9 p.m. ET

NetEase quotes every Marvel Rivals time in UTC. Its October 29 patch notes say the patch “drops on October 29th, 2026, at 09:00:00 (UTC)”, and the new store bundles in those notes switch over at 02:00 UTC. Weekly patches have come at 09:00 UTC all autumn, so from November 1 they land at 4 a.m. EST and 1 a.m. PST. Bundle rotations come at 9 p.m. EST (6 p.m. PST) the evening before the date NetEase lists.

5. Roblox events: set by each developer, fixed in UTC

Roblox has no global reset. Each developer schedules its own updates and events, and Roblox’s public events data stores every start and end as a UTC timestamp. That means an update at 15:00 UTC was 11 a.m. EDT this weekend and is 10 a.m. EST from Sunday. Our Roblox Halloween event end dates list gives ET and PT for 32 games, worked out for both sides of the change.

Games that keep their US time: an hour later in UTC

6. Epic Games Store free games: still 11 a.m. ET

Epic’s free-game swap follows Eastern Time. In Epic’s own store data, the current giveaway (Sorry We’re Closed) started October 29 at 15:00 UTC but ends November 5 at 16:00 UTC, the time the next pair (Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms and Flotsam) goes free. Both are 11 a.m. ET. For UK players the Thursday swap moves from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. GMT.

7. Steam Daily Deals and Weeklong Deals: still 10 a.m. PT

Valve’s Steamworks discount rules say Daily Deals “rotate every day at 10am Pacific” and Weeklong Deals “begin every Monday morning at 10AM Pacific time”. From November 1 that’s 18:00 UTC (6 p.m. in the UK), not 17:00. Launch discounts also end at 10 a.m. Pacific.

8. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1: midnight ET, November 6

Activision’s Season 1 announcement sets the launch for 0000 ET on November 6 (2100 PT on November 5). After the clock change that is 05:00 UTC, or 5 a.m. in the UK.

9. MONOPOLY GO events: about 1 p.m. ET (tracker-based)

Scopely doesn’t publish exact event times. Schedule trackers show events that started at 1 p.m. EDT (17:00 UTC) before the change, and they list the November 2 Golden Blitz and November 3 Sticker Boom at 18:00 UTC, which is 1 p.m. EST. So the schedule appears to stay on US Eastern Time. Check the in-game timer, and our MONOPOLY GO events today page for each day’s times.

Games on your local clock: no change

10. Pokémon GO: events keep their local start times

Niantic schedules Pokémon GO events in local time. Halloween 2026 Part II runs from “Sunday, November 1, at 10:00 a.m. to Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time”. It starts at 10 a.m. wherever you are, after US clocks have already gone back that morning, so nothing shifts. Other Halloween events end at different times. Our Halloween 2026 event end dates list has each game’s end time.

Games we couldn’t confirm

Riot (Valorant store, League of Legends) and Supercell (Clash Royale, Clash of Clans) don’t state their daily reset as a clock time on any official page we could check. Honkai: Star Rail’s notes use 04:00 server time but don’t state each server’s UTC offset. For these games, go by the in-game countdown, which always counts to the right moment whatever your clock says.
