The Division 2: Echoes of Central Park is out: three companions, six new skill variants, The Ratel, a park endgame, $19.99 price and crossplay dates.

The Division 2: Echoes of Central Park is out now. Ubisoft released the paid DLC on November 3, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Ubisoft Store, Steam and Epic Games Store), and it is also included with a Ubisoft+ subscription. It costs $19.99 for the standard DLC or $29.99 for the Deluxe version on Steam and the Ubisoft Store, needs only the base game, and comes with a Level 40 boost so a new or low-level agent can start the campaign straight away.

Below: what the DLC contains, the six new skill variants and other rewards, how to start it, which edition to buy, and the three-stage crossplay rollout that began the same day. Everything here comes from Ubisoft’s own launch posts, patch notes and store pages; anything Ubisoft has not said is marked as such.

What’s in Division 2 Echoes of Central Park

Ubisoft calls Echoes of Central Park the biggest experience in The Division 2 since Warlords of New York. Its showcase recap puts the map at roughly twice the size of Battle for Brooklyn, and it is the first time the series lets you into Central Park itself. Developers from Massive Entertainment, Ubisoft Bucharest and Ubisoft Reflections presented it in that showcase.

Story and setting

The story is set in the summer after Warlords of New York. A distress call from Miranda Veer, CEO of Veer Corp, sends agents into Manhattan to rescue her, but an unknown threat stops the mission and you have to work out what is really going on before going back in. Ubisoft describes it as the darkest DLC yet, inspired by horror: residents of the Upper West Side are turning up dead or missing, rumors of a new virus variant are spreading, and the park, used as a mass burial ground during the outbreak, has a new “apex threat” living in it. The campaign is told as a flashback, with a narrator guiding you through her version of events, which is a first for The Division 2.

The campaign starts in the Upper West Side, which runs from Lincoln Square to the Dakota District on this map, with missions in landmarks such as the Natural History Museum. Later you go into the park, which Ubisoft describes as overgrown and reclaimed by nature.

The three companions

Echoes of Central Park adds three companions. You earn their trust by uncovering their backstories, and after that they fight next to you. Only one can be in your party at a time, and you can assign a different one when you replay a mission. Ubisoft says each one reacts differently in dialogue and brings a different combat approach.

Companion Role Background (Ubisoft’s description)
Brayleigh Callahan Sniper MIT graduate and Olympic medalist in shooting
Elwood Franklin Protector Former mall cop who wants to join the NYPD
Morse Feeney Assault Veteran and former first-wave Division agent with a mysterious past

The replayable endgame in the park

Once the story is complete, Central Park becomes a repeatable endgame activity. According to Ubisoft’s launch post, your first runs are about survival: you are hunted, there is no GPS assistance, and enemies keep coming in waves. As you learn more about the threat and collect gear, you become the hunter and get more control over how you take fights on. How well you do in each encounter also changes what comes next. A strong result gives you exclusive rewards and a poor one gives you a disadvantage for the rest of the run. With different companion buffs on top, Ubisoft says no two runs play the same.

Division 2 Echoes of Central Park new skills and gear

Defeating the park’s main threats unlocks new rewards. Ubisoft has named only some of them so far.

Reward What Ubisoft has confirmed
Six new skill variants “Beast-like” skills inspired by the DLC’s enemies. Named so far: Corrosive Trap and The Gas Bomber. They can be used in the main game too, not only inside the DLC.
The Ratel A new Exotic weapon. Its stats and talent have not been published in Ubisoft’s posts.
New gear set Confirmed, name and bonuses not yet published by Ubisoft.
Stash space +50 stash slots, included with every edition.

Prototype Gear warning: at launch, Prototype Gear is normalized inside Echoes of Central Park “to preserve the intended challenge, tension, and sense of danger.” Ubisoft plans to turn on its full strength in the DLC later, so a build that relies on Prototype Gear will be weaker in the park than in the rest of the game for now.

How to start Echoes of Central Park

  1. Own the base game. Steam lists only Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 as the requirement for the DLC; Warlords of New York is not listed as a requirement. On November 4 at 03:20 UTC the base game was $7.49 on Steam (75% off $29.99).
  2. Get the DLC. Buy the standard or Deluxe DLC, or the New York Collection, from your platform’s store, or play it through Ubisoft+.
  3. Use the Level 40 boost if you need it. Every edition includes one. Ubisoft says agents below level 40 get a boost that lets them start right away and be “appropriately leveled” for the DLC.
  4. Start in the Upper West Side. The campaign begins there with the Miranda Veer distress call. Ubisoft’s posts do not say which in-game menu or travel point the first mission sits under, so check your map and mission list after the DLC finishes installing.
  5. Pick solo or co-op. Both are supported. Companions join as you earn their trust during the story.

Echoes of Central Park price and editions

Prices below are from the Steam store page (US) and match the Ubisoft Store, checked November 4, 2026 at 03:20 UTC. PlayStation and Xbox store prices were not checked for this guide and can differ by region.

Edition Price (USD, PC) What you get
Echoes of Central Park DLC $19.99 Campaign and endgame, Level 40 boost, +50 stash space
Echoes of Central Park Deluxe DLC $29.99 Everything above plus the Brayleigh, Elwood and Morse outfits and an exotic weapon skin for The Ratel
New York Collection $49.99 Warlords of New York, Battle for Brooklyn and Echoes of Central Park, plus the Level 40 boost and +50 stash space

Which one to buy: the Deluxe version adds only cosmetics, so the standard DLC gives you all of the gameplay for $10 less. The New York Collection is the better buy only if you don’t own Warlords of New York or Battle for Brooklyn yet. The NY Purifier Mask was a Steam pre-purchase bonus delivered on launch day, so it isn’t part of a purchase now.

Division 2 crossplay: dates for PC, PlayStation and Xbox

Crossplay arrives with Title Update Y8S3.3 and is switched on in three stages. Here is the schedule from Ubisoft’s TU Y8S3.3 patch notes:

Date What happens Can you play across platforms?
November 3 Crossplay icons and other interface changes appear in game No
November 10 PC players move to the new crossplay servers; PC leaderboards reset No
November 17 PlayStation and Xbox players join the new servers; crossplay options appear in game Yes, PC, PlayStation and Xbox

Leaderboards are hidden on all platforms until November 17. From then on, crossplay is on by default and can be turned off on the character selection screen. With it off, you only meet players on your own platform.

What happens to clans

  • The clan member limit goes up from 50 to 100.
  • A clan moves automatically when its first member logs in on the crossplay servers. Places are reserved for members who haven’t moved yet, currently for three months from when the reservation is created.
  • If the clan leader isn’t first, the first member becomes temporary leader with Lieutenant-level permissions until the original leader arrives. If the leader’s reservation expires, the temporary leader takes over for good.
  • If your clan name is already taken on the new servers, a platform number is added: #2 for PC, #3 for Xbox, #4 for PlayStation (for example “ClanAwesome #2”).
  • Clan messages, invites and join requests, and clan caches do not carry over. The clan bio carries over only if the member who wrote it is the first to move.

For clan leaders, the reservation window is the date that matters: arrive before your reservation expires and you get the leadership back from any temporary leader.

Other Division 2 events around the launch

  • Twitch drops (Nov 3-10): watch drop-enabled Division 2 streams with Twitch linked to Ubisoft Connect. 30 minutes earns the Central Park Arm Patch, 1 hour a Named Cache, 2 hours the Bird Skull Backpack Trophy, 3 hours an Exotic Cache and 4 hours an Outfit Token (Ubisoft).
  • Master Climax Mission (from Nov 3): your first completion on Master difficulty guarantees the Loaded for Bear Exotic Gloves. Their Afterburn talent stores up to 20 stacks on an enemy and consumes them on reload for 100% weapon damage per stack.
  • Shepherd Event (Nov 17-26): a six-project chain for answering Calls for Backup. Each project gives 10 Exotic Components and 700,000 XP, and the last one gives the Malinois, a named Mk16.

Ubisoft has also had a busy week outside The Division: Bloomberg reports it is among the bidders for Arkane Lyon.
