11 Minecraft seeds re-checked for Java 26.3 and Bedrock 26.50+: village spawns, ancient cities, a dappled forest and cherry grove, with exact coordinates.

The best Minecraft seeds for 26.3 are the ones someone has actually re-checked since the Wilderness Bound drop changed world generation on September 15, 2026. Every seed below appears in at least two independent sources for Java 26.3 or Bedrock 26.50 and later, with coordinates. Several were also confirmed on a 26.3 seed map. Each entry says exactly which edition it works on, because Java and Bedrock share terrain but not structures.

  • Best village start: -3361685360695458093, four joined villages at spawn (Java only).
  • Best trading-hall start: 302304127329527063, four taiga villages within about 230 blocks (Java).
  • Best Deep Dark seed: 1606377695512438131, an ancient city directly under spawn (Java).
  • Best seed for the new dappled forest: -4995054936707021313, a dappled forest about 190 blocks from spawn, with nearly every biome on one continent (terrain on both editions).
  • Best Bedrock building seed: 7226627000711902118, a village spread up a giant ice spike (Bedrock).
  • Versions: Java 26.3 (current release) and Bedrock 26.50/26.60. Checked October 28, 2026 UTC.

Why old seed lists can be wrong in 26.3

A seed is just an input to the world generator, so when Mojang changes generation, the same number can build a different world. According to the Minecraft Wiki’s 26.3 changelog, Wilderness Bound added the dappled forest biome, which takes over some moderately cold, dry areas that used to be plains, plus a new structure, the abandoned camp. The June drop, 26.2, had already added underground sulfur caves. Craftlands, which reloaded its whole list on Java 26.3, notes that 26.1 changed no biomes or structures.

For players this means a village that stood in a plains in 26.2 can be gone in 26.3 if that ground turned into dappled forest. Most land and oceans stay where they were. That is why this list only keeps seeds with a 26.x check.

Java vs Bedrock: what carries over

  • Same on both: terrain and biomes. Since 1.18, the same 64-bit seed builds the same mountains, rivers, mushroom islands and cherry groves on Java and Bedrock (ChunkScan, Craftlands).
  • Different: structures (villages, outposts, ancient cities, strongholds), cave carvers, features and the spawn point. A village at spawn on Java can be hundreds of blocks away on Bedrock.
  • Labels below: “Java” means the coordinates are for Java 26.3. “Bedrock” means Bedrock 26.50 or later. “Both” means the landscape works on both editions, with separate structure coordinates where sources give them.
  • Bedrock 26.60 note: the October 27 Bedrock update made lush caves take priority over dripstone and sulfur caves, according to the wiki’s 26.60 page. Cave biome borders underground can shift a little from 26.50. Surface biomes don’t change.

Best Minecraft village seeds for 26.3

1. Four connected villages at spawn: -3361685360695458093 (Java only)

Four plains villages sit at the corners of a 144-block square and grow into one town around a lake. GamesRadar says the layout only generates this way on Java. ChunkScan’s 26.3 map puts a village at spawn and the same trial chamber and ancient city as Craftlands’ in-game check.

  • Villages: 0, 0 / -144, 0 / -144, -144 / 0, -144
  • Trial chamber: 185, -27, 71
  • Pillager outpost: about 64, -320 (ChunkScan; GamesRadar gives 63, -326)
  • Ancient city: 807, -51, 567

2. Four taiga villages for a trading hall: 302304127329527063 (Java)

Four taiga villages ring spawn within about 230 blocks, so you can walk villagers between them without a Nether tunnel. Both Craftlands and Beebom put the first village at 32, 16. Beebom tags the seed for both editions, but its other structure positions don’t match the Java check, so on Bedrock count on the terrain only.

  • Taiga villages: 32, 16 / -144, 0 / 16, -160 / -160, -160 (Craftlands)
  • Mineshaft: 32, 128; cold ocean ruins: 80, -320 (Craftlands)

3. Desert village and pyramid cluster: 486362209 (Java; fewer on Bedrock)

A desert start with four villages and two desert pyramids packed together, which means sandstone houses, pyramid TNT and loot on day one. Craftlands and GamesRadar list identical coordinates. GamesRadar says Bedrock gets three pyramids, two villages and a shipwreck instead.

  • Villages: 0, 0 / -192, 32 / -144, -176 / 48, -144
  • Desert pyramids: -136, 24 and 24, -232
  • Mushroom fields: about -1,000, -377 (GamesRadar)

4. Pillager outpost between two villages: 8110137054462309706 (Java)

A savanna village, an outpost a few hundred blocks south and a second village beyond it make an easy raid-farm setup. ChunkScan’s 26.3 scan also finds an ancient city about 57 blocks from spawn, which Craftlands doesn’t mention.

  • Savanna village: 225, 0 (ChunkScan lists the structure at 256, 0)
  • Pillager outpost: 215, 261 (ChunkScan: 208, 256)
  • Ruined portal: 347, 242; second village: 523, 266
  • Ancient city: about 40, 40 (ChunkScan only)

Best biome seeds: dappled forest and cherry grove

5. Every biome plus a dappled forest: -4995054936707021313 (Both, terrain)

GamesRadar picked this as an all-biome continent after a 26.2 check, with everything from a Pale Garden to a Mushroom Fields island within reach. On the 26.3 map, ChunkScan shows the plains next to spawn now border a dappled forest at about 144, 0, so it doubles as an easy way to see the new biome. The Java village sits at -336, 0 in both sources.

  • Spawn: plains near -48, -32 (ChunkScan)
  • Dappled forest: 144, 0 (ChunkScan 26.3)
  • Pale Garden: -773, 298; jungle: -823, 1,326; Mushroom Fields island: -2,410, 1,951 (GamesRadar)
  • Village: Java -336, 0; Bedrock 136, 120 (GamesRadar)
  • Stronghold: Java about -204, -1,356 (ChunkScan); Bedrock -396, 1,316 (GamesRadar)

6. Spawn island inside a cherry grove: 2048005618087379093 (Both)

You start on a small green island ringed by cherry grove mountains, a favourite for builders that Dexerto also lists for both editions. ChunkScan’s 26.3 map matches GamesRadar’s Java village and outpost within a few blocks.

  • Spawn island: 0, 0
  • Java village: about -254, 108 (ChunkScan: -272, 112)
  • Java pillager outpost: 199, -185 (ChunkScan: 192, -192)
  • Bedrock village: about 126, -360 (GamesRadar); Beebom puts it at 107, -410
  • Pale Garden: -450, -530 (GamesRadar)

Best ancient city and loot seeds

7. Ancient city directly under spawn: 1606377695512438131 (Java)

The spawn point drops you into a deep dark: Craftlands’ in-game check puts the world spawn at Y -21 with the city filling the space below, from Y -52 to Y -22. Sneak, or the Warden will find you before you find the loot. GamesRadar says the waterfalls around spawn lead back up to the surface.

  • Ancient city: 0, 0 (under spawn)
  • Escape waterfall: 6, 8 (GamesRadar)
  • Village: 173, -12 (Craftlands; GamesRadar lists 208, 0)
  • Trial chamber: -238, -16, -20 (Craftlands)

8. Six ancient cities and a cheese cave: 184290855362048334 (Java)

Six ancient cities sit within about 650 blocks of spawn. There’s also a cheese cave you can use as a base and a zombie dungeon for a spawner farm. Craftlands and Beebom give the same coordinates.

  • Ancient city: -157, -48, -148
  • Cheese cave: -32, 40, 192
  • Trial chamber: 265, -17, 57
  • Zombie dungeon: 69, -28, -29

9. Woodland mansion ringed by four witch huts: -9215772017318341931 (Java)

Four swamp huts surround a woodland mansion, so you get witch farms and totems of undying in one area. Dexerto places the mansion at about 500, 420.

  • Woodland mansion: 504, 456 (Craftlands)
  • Witch huts: 360, 376 / 376, 520 / 536, 536 / 536, 344 (Craftlands)

Best building seeds

10. Badlands lake at spawn: 8888947383120075748 (Java)

Lakes inside a Badlands are rare, and this one is right at spawn on the edge of a huge cave. A plains village and two more lakes are close by.

  • Badlands lake: 97, -31; huge cave: 163, -88 (GamesRadar)
  • Village: about 121, 170 (GamesRadar; Beebom lists 134, 204)
  • Trial chamber: 67, -34, 112 (Beebom)

11. Village up a giant ice spike: 7226627000711902118 (Bedrock)

On Bedrock, a village is spread across platforms all the way up a huge ice spike, which makes a ready-made building challenge. Dexerto also lists it as a Bedrock village seed. The spike itself is terrain, so Java players get the same landmark, but the village generates elsewhere.

  • Ice spike monolith: 2, 13 (both editions)
  • Bedrock shipwreck: 312, 136
  • Java village instead: -368, 176; Java shipwreck: 568, 88 (GamesRadar)

How to use a seed and check the coordinates

  1. Java: Singleplayer, Create New World, then the World tab, and paste the number into “Seed for the World Generator”. Leave the world type on Default, because Amplified and Large Biomes give different terrain.
  2. Bedrock: Create New World and open the Advanced section and paste the number into the Seed field.
  3. Check your version on the title screen first. These coordinates are for Java 26.3 and Bedrock 26.50/26.60.
  4. Jump to a spot: turn on cheats and use /tp @s 185 -27 71, or /locate structure village_plains on Java (/locate structure village on Bedrock). Our Minecraft commands list has the exact syntax for both editions.
  5. Preview without loading: seed maps such as ChunkScan and mcseeder have 26.3 and Bedrock 26.50 modes. Pick the right edition before you trust a village position.

Playing on Switch 2? Wilderness Bound (Bedrock 26.50) reached the Switch 2 Edition on October 27, so the Bedrock coordinates apply there too. See our Minecraft Switch 2 upgrade guide. For build ideas once you’ve picked a spot, our Minecraft cottage house ideas still work with the new poplar wood.

FAQ

Do Java seeds work on Bedrock?

Partly. Since 1.18 the same seed gives both editions the same terrain and biomes. But villages, temples, ancient cities, strongholds and the spawn point are placed differently, so structure coordinates from a Java list won’t match on Bedrock. Use the edition label on each seed above.

What is the best Minecraft seed with a village at spawn?

For Java 26.3, -3361685360695458093 has four connected villages right at spawn, and 302304127329527063 has four taiga villages around it. On Bedrock, 7226627000711902118 gives a village on a giant ice spike.

Can a Java seed have a stronghold at spawn?

No. In Java, the nearest ring of strongholds starts about 1,280 blocks from the world origin, according to the Minecraft Wiki and Craftlands. Any Java list promising an end portal next to spawn is wrong or using a different edition.

Will these seeds still work in 26.4?

Only if 26.4 doesn’t change world generation. The next drop is still in snapshots, and the Minecraft Wiki lists a new ice caves biome as upcoming in it. Re-check structure positions when it releases.
