We Were Here Tomorrow launches today, Tuesday, October 20, at 13:00 UTC (6 AM PDT, 9 AM EDT, 2 PM BST, 3 PM CEST) on PC via Steam, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It costs $19.99 / €19.99 / £16.99, with a 10% launch discount. Total Mayhem Games confirmed the unlock time on X, and the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store listings show the same 13:00 UTC release.
This is the sixth We Were Here game and the fifth in the main series. It’s a two-player co-op puzzle adventure where you and a partner solve asymmetrical puzzles by talking over walkie-talkies. The studio says it runs about 15 hours, which makes it the longest game in the series.

Does We Were Here Tomorrow have crossplay?
Yes. The official FAQ says crossplay is supported at launch, and the reveal announcement promised it across PC, PS5 and Xbox. Steam lists Cross-Platform Multiplayer as a feature too, so a Steam player can team up with a friend on console.
A few requirements matter here. The game is online co-op only, and the Steam page says both players need a working microphone and an internet connection. The PlayStation Store listing says online play on PS5 requires PlayStation Plus. Controllers are supported.

What the game is about
Two Explorers wake up trapped under the Antarctic ice inside a Norček Industries facility, where Director Kathleen Bowe asks them to finish the work of a research team that has disappeared. The setting is an imagined 1980s future with a synthwave soundtrack. Each player carries a different high-tech tool, and many puzzles bend time, gravity and space. Like every entry in the series it’s standalone: the story connects to earlier games, but you don’t need to have played them.
The game is available in 16 languages, with full voice audio in English, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese and Latin American Spanish. Fans may know it by its tease title, “Where Are We?”. The FAQ confirms it’s the same game.
The demo is no longer available. More than 100,000 players claimed it around Steam Next Fest in June, and Total Mayhem took it down on August 3 to focus on launch. If you’re browsing for something to try in the meantime, this month’s Steam Next Fest October 2026 demos are a good place to start.
What’s next
The exact discounted store prices, and how long the 10% offer runs, will show once the listings go live at 13:00 UTC. It’s a crowded week: Modern Warfare 4’s DMZ early access also starts today at 10 AM PT, and Final Fantasy Resonance arrives on October 22.
