Valorant Hush is out now. Riot added the telekinetic Duelist in Patch 13.09, published at 13:00 UTC on October 27, 2026, on PC and console. You can unlock her for free through her 28-day Agent Recruitment event, or right away with Valorant Points. Below are the unlock routes, what each of her five abilities does in Riot’s official wording, and what else changed in 13.09.
We covered her reveal in our first look at Hush, Valorant’s new Duelist from China. This guide adds what Riot confirmed on launch day.

Quick answer: how to unlock Hush in Valorant
- Free: play any mode during her Agent Recruitment event. Riot says these events switch on automatically the day a new Agent releases and last 28 days. Guides put the target at 200,000 XP.
- Instant: buy her with Valorant Points at any time. Outlets list the usual agent price of 1,000 VP.
- After the event: if you miss the XP target, she goes into the Agent Store, where Riot says you can unlock her with Kingdom Credits, VP or Agent Unlock Tokens.
- Game Pass: Shacknews lists Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as another route. games.gg notes that this access lasts only while your subscription does.
- Role and kit: Duelist from Guangdong, China. She has a passive (Telekinesis) plus Flow, Flashbulb, Displacement and the Suspension ultimate.

When did Hush come out?
Riot’s 13.09 patch notes say “New Agent Hush is now in game!” and went up on playvalorant.com at 13:00 UTC on Tuesday, October 27. They cover all platforms, with a separate console-only section, so console players get her in the same patch. Riot rolls patches out region by region and gave no exact unlock hour. games.gg lists Tuesday, October 27 for the Americas and Wednesday, October 28 for other regions in local time. If Hush isn’t in your client yet, restart it to pull the update.

How to unlock Hush for free: the Agent Recruitment event
Riot’s progression FAQ describes Agent Recruitment Events as “free event passes that automatically activate the day a new Agent releases and stay active for 28 days.” You don’t have to equip anything. XP from matches counts toward the event automatically, and Daily checkpoints and Weekly Missions add bonus XP toward it (Riot lists both as sources of event XP). Riot says unlocking takes about as long as reaching Level 5 of an old Agent Contract.
Riot doesn’t put a number on it in the FAQ. games.gg and other launch guides give the target as 200,000 XP. At 28 days that works out to roughly 7,150 XP a day, so play a few matches a day and clear your Dailies and Weeklies rather than leaving it to the last week.
The event also pays out Kingdom Credits. Riot caps your Kingdom Credits balance at 10,000, so spend them on Agent Gear or the Accessory Store if you’re near the cap.
Can you buy Hush with Kingdom Credits or VP?
- Valorant Points: yes, at any time, including during the event (“You can still spend VP any time to buy the Agent right away,” per Riot).
- Kingdom Credits and Agent Unlock Tokens: only after the recruitment event ends. Riot says that if you miss the XP target, you can unlock the Agent in the Agent Store “using Kingdom Credits, VP, or Agent Unlock Tokens… any time after the recruitment event pass ends.” Riot hasn’t listed Hush’s Kingdom Credits price, and outlets disagree on it, so check the Agent Store when she arrives there.
Hush abilities: what every ability does
Riot’s patch notes describe her like this: “she redirects her combat utility in midair to disrupt and displace the enemy team before suspending them helplessly for the killing blow.” Here is each ability, in our own words, from Riot’s official text. The default keys come from launch guides (games.gg, Allthings.how). Riot’s notes give the inputs but not the key letters.
| Ability | Key (reported) | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Telekinesis | Passive | Passive | Picks up weapons and the Spike (on attack), and uses switches, from further away |
| Flow | C | Movement | Drops an anchor instantly, then pulls her to it after a delay; in mid-air she hovers first |
| Flashbulb | Q | Flash | Throw or hold, then reactivate to send it toward your crosshair; flashes everyone looking at it |
| Displacement | E (signature) | Pull + concuss | Pulls players to its center and concusses anyone who hits a surface or another player; resets every two kills |
| Suspension | X (ultimate) | Crowd control | A steerable projectile; detonate it to levitate every player caught in it |
Telekinesis (passive)
Hush can pick up weapons and, on the attacking side, the Spike from an increased range, and she can interact with switches from further away. That makes her a safer pick for grabbing a dropped Spike or a fallen teammate’s rifle without walking into the open.
Flow
Flow creates an anchor instantly. After a delay, Hush is propelled toward it. If she casts it while airborne, she briefly levitates in place before she launches. In practice it’s both an entry tool and a way to hang in the air for an off-angle, and it combines with jumps.
Flashbulb
Equip, then FIRE to throw it or ALT FIRE to prepare it. Reactivate it to redirect it toward your crosshair. It explodes on any surface or after a delay and flashes “all players looking at it.” Riot’s wording doesn’t exclude teammates, so call it out before you throw.
Displacement (signature)
Displacement uses the same throw-and-redirect controls as Flashbulb. When it explodes, it pulls every player toward its center. Anyone who collides with a surface or another player is concussed. Two details from the official text matter most: enemies stacked together or holding tight against a wall are the best targets, and the ability resets every two kills, so winning a fight can give it back.

Suspension (ultimate)
Suspension is prepared instantly. FIRE sends it forward, and you steer it with your crosshair. Reactivate it, or press FIRE again, to detonate it and levitate every player in the blast. Lifted enemies are easy targets, which is why Riot pitches her as the Agent who sets up “the killing blow.” Riot hasn’t published its ultimate point cost in the notes.
How to play Hush: tips from her official kit
These follow from Riot’s ability text. Once players have more time with her, expect community lineups and settings to fill in the details.
- Redirect, don’t just throw. Flashbulb and Displacement can both be curved toward your crosshair mid-flight, so you can bend them around a corner instead of exposing yourself to throw them.
- Displacement into Flashbulb. Pull defenders out of a corner, then flash the spot they land in. It’s the combo Riot’s kit is built around: displace first, then punish.
- Aim Displacement at walls and stacks. The concuss only triggers on a collision with a surface or another player, so enemies grouped up or hugging cover get the full effect.
- Use Flow in mid-air for off-angles. Casting it while airborne gives you a brief hover before the dash. That changes the timing of your peek compared with a plain dash.
- Save Suspension for retakes and post-plants. It lifts every player in the blast at once, which is most useful against several defenders holding one spot.
- Expect a bumpy Performance Score. Riot says Hush is the first new Agent since Performance Score launched and that her scores “may be a bit bumpy in the first few days” while it tunes how utility use is rated.
Riot’s official gameplay reveal shows the kit in action:
