Survive Your Ideas guide: how rounds work, every word the developers confirm, 40 items by rarity and meta word prices. Checked Nov 8, 15:28 UTC.

Survive Your Ideas is a Roblox survival game where every round one random player types a word and that word comes to life, from a tsunami to a dinosaur to tacos. The words stack up, the chaos grows, and the last player alive wins. It is the number one game on Roblox’s Up-and-Coming chart as we write, and its biggest update so far, “40+ Words + Word Mastery”, went live on November 7.

Quick answer: Survive Your Ideas

  • How a round works: one random player writes a word each round, it happens, and the last one alive wins. Up to 40 players per server, according to the Roblox game page.
  • Codes: we found no redeem codes. The game page, the passes, the badges, the update post and the fan wiki mention none (checked Nov 8, 15:28 UTC).
  • Best words: no trustworthy tier list exists yet. The fan wiki’s “Best Words” page is still an empty template, so this guide lists only words the developers show themselves.
  • Latest update: “40+ WORDS + Word Mastery!” started Nov 7 at 17:00 UTC: new words, buffed Mastery versions of favourite words, a VIP server control panel and word balancing.
  • Meta words: /chaos, /god, /reset and /admin are paid game passes, each usable once per match (prices below).

How Survive Your Ideas works

The developer’s own description on the Roblox game page is short: “Every round, one random player writes a word… and it COMES TO LIFE!” Words stack up during the match, so the arena keeps getting more dangerous until one player is left.

That gives you two jobs. When it is your turn to be the writer, pick a word that hurts other people more than it hurts you. When someone else writes, survive whatever they typed: run, climb, swim or heal, depending on the word.

The game was created on October 6, 2026 and has passed 24 million visits. At 15:28 UTC on Nov 8 Roblox showed about 72,000 players in the game, roughly 57,900 favourites and a vote split of 22,086 up to 3,956 down, which is about 85% positive.

Survive Your Ideas words confirmed by the developers

The word list is large and the fan wiki says it does not know every word yet. Rather than guess, the table below includes only words that appear in the developer’s own text or official game art.

Word Where it is shown
Tsunami Roblox game description and official thumbnail
Dinosaur Roblox game description
Nuke Roblox game description
Tacos Roblox game description
Shark Official game thumbnails
Apocalypse Official game thumbnail
Lava Official game thumbnail; the wiki’s only filled combo entry is “Lava + Walk”
UFO Official game thumbnail
67 Official game thumbnail

The November 7 update adds “40+ new words”: giant monsters, heroes, creepy creatures and “a few secret ones”, in the developer’s wording. The developers have not named them. The fan wiki sorts words into ten categories (weapons, monsters, animals, nature, weather, disasters, places, food, objects, and memes and powers), but its category pages were empty when we checked.

What is Word Mastery?

Word Mastery is new in the Nov 7 update. According to the official update text, you use a favourite word to complete Mastery quests and unlock a buffed version of it that is “bigger, stronger and with a new look”. The same update says some words were “too strong (or too weak)” and have been tuned, so older advice about overpowered words may already be out of date.

The Word Diary is where you track the words you have discovered. One badge asks for 150 diary entries, and only 575 players had earned it when we checked, so the full word list is far from fully explored by the player base.

Survive Your Ideas items by rarity

The fan wiki’s Items page lists 40 items and the chance of each rarity. The wiki calls the system a random draw and does not explain how to trigger it, so we leave that part out. The odds and item descriptions below come from the wiki page last edited Nov 6, before the Nov 7 update, so check in game for changes.

Rarity Chance Items
Mythical 0.1% Golden Pencil, Veto Stamp, Eraser
Legendary 1.4% Subspace Tripmine, Pocket Watch, Rocket Launcher, Force Field
Epic 5.5% Grapple Hook, Rainbow Magic Carpet, Jetpack, Ice Wand, Sword, Inflatable Decoy
Rare 15% Gravity Coil, Trowel, Medkit, Hyperlaser, Portable Ladder, Boombox, Smoke Bomb, Coin Magnet
Uncommon 28% Speed Coil, Umbrella, Swim Ring, Fire Extinguisher, Trampoline, Pillow, Meat Bone, Red Balloon, BB Gun
Common 50% Bloxy Cola, Pizza, Hot Cocoa, Popsicle, Garlic, Bug Spray, Snowball, Water Balloon, Banana Peel, Bandage

Half of all draws are Common, so expect healing and small tricks most of the time. The three Mythicals bend the rules: the wiki says Golden Pencil lets you write one extra word of your own, Veto Stamp stops the next word from happening if you use it while someone is typing, and Eraser wipes out nearby creatures and halves boss health.

Which item counters which threat

Using only the wiki’s item descriptions, here is a quick reference for what to reach for when a word lands. This is a reading of the item text, not a tested ranking.

Threat Item that answers it What the wiki says
Flood or tsunami Portable Ladder, Swim Ring The ladder “always reaches above a flood”; the ring lets you swim 40% faster and never run out of breath
Things falling from the sky Umbrella Falling things cannot hit you, and you glide when you fall
Fire and heat Fire Extinguisher, Water Balloon, Popsicle Foam or a soaking stops you catching fire; the Popsicle puts out your fire and blocks heat for 90 seconds
Cold Hot Cocoa, Medkit Cocoa blocks cold for 90 seconds; the Medkit clears fire, poison and cold
Meat-eating animals and bosses Meat Bone, Inflatable Decoy, Smoke Bomb Animals run to the bone for 12 seconds; creatures chase the decoy for 25; smoke makes them lose you for 8
Undead and hunters Garlic Zombies, vampires and hunters run far away while you hold it
Insects and swarms Bug Spray Insects and swarms drop; other creatures run away
Anything, briefly Force Field, Pocket Watch Nothing can hurt you for 20 seconds; or jump back to where you were 5 seconds ago with your old health
Low health Bandage, Pizza, Medkit Heals 40, heals 25, and full heal respectively

Survive Your Ideas meta words and game passes

Meta words are special words you buy as game passes. The pass descriptions on Roblox say each one works once per match. Prices are in Robux, taken from the game’s pass list on Nov 8.

Pass Robux What it does (official pass text)
/chaos 399 Ten random words at once
/god 499 Your words happen instantly for 30 seconds
/reset 499 Resets the world and heals everyone
/admin 1,449 Admin commands until the match ends
Meta Words: Bundle 1,820 Owns /admin, /reset, /chaos and /god forever
2 Words 279 Every time you are the writer, type 2 words and both happen

The four meta words cost 2,846 Robux if bought one by one, so the bundle saves 1,026. The passes are optional: the game is playable without them, and nothing in the official text says they guarantee a win.

Survive Your Ideas badges

The game has eight badges, which double as a list of goals. The counts below are how many times Roblox had awarded each one on Nov 8.

Badge How to earn it Awarded
Welcome Join the game (“You made it. Now try to survive your ideas.”) 6,447,118
My First Idea Write your first word in a match 5,250,239
Survivor Survive 60 words in a single match 625,954
Champion Be the last one standing and win a match 806,027
Deadly Idea Eliminate 3 players with a single word 495,604
Unstoppable Win 2 matches in a row 86,209
Collector Discover 150 words in your Word Diary 575
Veteran Play 100 matches 102

Winning is more common than you might expect: about 806,000 accounts have a Champion badge. Back-to-back wins are about nine times rarer, and the Collector and Veteran badges are the real long-term goals.

FAQ

Are there Survive Your Ideas codes?

Not that we could find. Neither the Roblox page, the pass list, the badges, the Nov 7 update post nor the fan wiki mention a code box or any codes. If that changes we will update this page.

What is the best word in Survive Your Ideas?

Nobody has published a verified ranking yet, and the Nov 7 update rebalanced words that were too strong or too weak. For now the safest advice is to pick words from the table above and watch which ones the game nerfed or buffed.

How many players are in a match?

The Roblox game page lists a maximum of 40 players per server.

What does Word Mastery do?

You complete Mastery quests with a favourite word to unlock a buffed version of it, per the official update text from Nov 7.
