The best decks in Pokémon TCG Pocket right now are Mega Greninja ex (built with Suicune ex or Greninja ex) and Mega Charizard Y ex with Entei ex. Together they made up a third of the 462 decklists from the first six Dual Fusion tournaments on Limitless and took 25 of the 48 top-8 spots. Below them are Miraidon ex Magnezone, Giratina ex Dragonair and Umbreon Hydreigon. All three are less common but posted some of the best win rates of the weekend.
This tier list is built from tournament results, not opinion. We read every decklist from the six Pokémon TCG Pocket events played on Limitless between the Dual Fusion launch (October 29, 01:00 UTC) and October 30. The win rates are Limitless’s own figures. We counted the usage, top-8 finishes and core cards ourselves. Data checked October 30, 2026, 17:20 UTC. It’s the first 40 hours of a new format, so treat it as an early read that will shift. New to the set? Our Dual Fusion release guide covers the cards and the event calendar.

Why TCG Pocket is trending: Dual Fusion, Community Decks and the 2nd anniversary
Three things landed within two days. Dual Fusion went live on October 28 at 6:00 p.m. PDT (October 29, 01:00 UTC). It’s the first set of the new series and brings the first dual-type cards. The same update added Community Decks. The October Producer Letter describes it as a way to view popular decks or friends’ decks in-game and copy them with your own cards. On October 28 the official account reported a freeze when opening Community Decks from the Solo or Versus deck builder, and it confirmed a fix on October 29 at 23:27 UTC. Last, the Second Anniversary Celebration Campaign started on October 30, along with 2nd-anniversary Poké Gold deals in the Shop. Over the same days the game climbed Apple’s US top-grossing iPhone games chart, from #11 on October 29 to #4 on the morning of October 30.
Community Decks shows you what’s popular. The tables below add how those decks actually perform in tournaments.
Dual Fusion meta tier list: usage and win rates
The table covers 6 tournaments, 462 players and 1,194 matches between October 29 and 30 (Limitless set filter “C1 – Dual Fusion”). Win rate counts ties as games, as Limitless does. Top-8s are our count across the six events (48 spots).
| Tier | Deck (Limitless name) | Lists | Share | Win rate | Top-8s |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Mega Charizard Y ex / Entei ex | 49 | 10.6% | 50.4% | 11 (1 win) |
| 1 | Mega Greninja ex / Suicune ex | 37 | 8.0% | 52.1% | 6 (1 win) |
| 1 | Mega Greninja ex / Greninja ex | 41 | 8.9% | 45.0% | 5 |
| 1 | Greninja ex / Mega Greninja ex | 18 | 3.9% | 54.0% | 3 (1 win) |
| 2 | Miraidon ex / Magnezone | 17 | 3.7% | 59.4% | 2 (1 win) |
| 2 | Giratina ex / Dragonair | 14 | 3.0% | 55.8% | 4 |
| 2 | Umbreon / Hydreigon | 11 | 2.4% | 56.9% | 3 (1 win) |
| 2 | Mega Manectric ex / Heliolisk | 8 | 1.7% | 61.1% | 3 (1 win) |
| 3 | Pikachu ex / Pawmot | 23 | 5.0% | 45.0% | 2 |
| 3 | Alolan Exeggutor ex / Ribombee | 12 | 2.6% | 54.2% | 0 |
| 3 | Mega Altaria ex / Espeon | 11 | 2.4% | 52.0% | 1 |
| – | Mega Mewtwo X ex / Mew ex | 11 | 2.4% | 46.7% | 0 |
| – | Mega Dragonite ex / Dragonite | 8 | 1.7% | 41.0% | 1 |
| – | Raikou ex / Pawmot | 9 | 1.9% | 27.3% | 0 |
How we tiered it: Tier 1 decks are both common and reaching top 8 regularly. Tier 2 decks have small samples (8 to 17 lists) but strong win rates and a win or several top-8s. A deck on 8 lists can swing a lot in one more weekend, so Tier 2 is where the biggest changes will come from.

The six free Dual Fusion rental decks, usable in any battle until Dec 15 at 5:59 p.m. PST. Image: The Pokémon Company
Mega Greninja ex: the most-played deck
Mega Greninja ex (Water and Darkness, Stage 2, 200 HP) shows up in 23% of all lists. Its attack, Splash of Darkness, costs two Water Energy and does 100 damage, and the Defending Pokémon can’t retreat during your opponent’s next turn. It also has a Retreat Cost of 0. The engine is the new Dual Fusion Frogadier. Its Sudden Duplication ability puts a random Frogadier from your deck onto your Bench when you evolve, so the evolution line builds itself. Players run Mega Greninja ex in two ways.
Mega Greninja ex / Suicune ex (the steadier build)
This build runs two A1 Greninja for Water Shuriken (20 damage to any of your opponent’s Pokémon each turn) and two Suicune ex. Crystal Waltz does 20 damage for each Benched Pokémon on both sides, so a full Frogadier Bench feeds it. Soothing Shore (in 95% of lists) heals 20 from each of your Pokémon with Water Energy attached at the end of your turn. Inflatable Boat (92%) trims Retreat Costs. This build won the 14-player Hit Sparrow #18 event and finished second at two others.
| Card | Count | Card | Count |
|---|---|---|---|
| Froakie (C1) | 2 | Professor’s Research | 2 |
| Frogadier (C1) | 2 | May | 1 |
| Greninja (A1) | 2 | Copycat | 1 |
| Mega Greninja ex | 1 | Cyrus | 1 |
| Suicune ex | 2 | Poké Ball | 2 |
| Rare Candy | 1 | ||
| Inflatable Boat | 1 | ||
| Giant Cape | 1 | ||
| Soothing Shore | 1 |
That’s the 20-card list that went 9-3 for second place in the 123-player Dankest C Series Pop Up.
Mega Greninja ex / Greninja ex (the switching build)
This version adds one Greninja ex from Mega Rising. Its Shifting Stream ability switches your Active Water Pokémon with a Benched one once per turn. Nearly every list runs exactly one Greninja ex and one Mega Greninja ex. The results split by name on Limitless: lists filed as “Greninja ex / Mega Greninja ex” went 54% and won The Dark League’s 39-player event, while the larger “Mega Greninja ex / Greninja ex” group sits at 45%. The cards are almost identical, so the split mostly reflects sample noise and player skill.
Weak point: every Greninja in these decks is weak to Lightning. That’s why Miraidon ex, Mega Manectric ex and Pikachu ex decks keep showing up next to it.

Mega Charizard Y ex / Entei ex: the deck that won the biggest event
This is the single most-played archetype (10.6%), and it won the largest tournament of the weekend, Blazing Exeggutor Crew’s 163-player weekly, with a 10-0-2 record. It took 11 of the 48 top-8 spots, four of them at the Dankest pop-up alone. The Dual Fusion piece is the new Charizard (Stage 2, 150 HP). Its Flame Aura ability does 30 damage to your opponent’s Active Pokémon whenever you attach a Fire Energy from your Energy Zone to it. Mega Charizard Y ex evolves from the same Charmeleon and hits for 250 with Crimson Dive, though it does 50 damage to itself. Entei ex draws a card at the end of your turn while it’s Active. The new Supporter Blue’s Provocation (69% of lists) works only with Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise or Pidgeot in play, and it pulls one of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon into the Active Spot.
| Card | Count | Card | Count |
|---|---|---|---|
| Charmander (B2b) | 2 | Professor’s Research | 2 |
| Charmeleon (B2b) | 2 | Copycat | 1 |
| Mega Charizard Y ex | 1 | Pokémon Center Lady | 1 |
| Charizard (C1) | 1 | Wally | 1 |
| Entei ex | 2 | May | 1 |
| Poké Ball | 2 | ||
| Flame Patch | 2 | ||
| Giant Cape | 1 | ||
| Rainbow Cave | 1 |
The winning list skips Blue’s Provocation. Most other players run one, usually in place of May or Giant Cape. Rainbow Cave (76% of lists) lets you discard the Energy your Energy Zone generated and get the next one instead, which helps a deck that needs Fire every turn. The weakness is Water, which is the most popular type right now.
Tier 2 decks to watch
Miraidon ex / Magnezone
Its 17 lists are nearly identical, and one went 12-0 to win the Dankest C Series Pop Up. Miraidon ex’s Legendary Drive moves all your Energy in play onto it when it comes off the Bench, and Hadron Ray adds 20 damage per Lightning Energy. Magnezone’s Mirror Shot (90) makes your opponent flip a coin to attack next turn. Nearly every list runs Professor Turo, Clemont, Lisia, Sabrina and Cyrus, and all of them have Giant Cape. Lightning damage is the natural answer to the Greninja lists.
Giratina ex / Dragonair
Dual Fusion’s Giratina ex is a Basic with 150 HP and no Weakness. Dragon Impact needs Grass, Psychic and Colorless Energy and hits for 140, but it discards 2 random Energy. Dragonair’s Dragon’s Blessing puts discarded Energy back from the Bench onto your Active Dragon Pokémon, and that’s the combo. Every list runs Eviolite (−20 damage taken for a Basic) and Rainbow Cave. It made 4 top-8s from 14 lists.
Umbreon / Hydreigon
The new Umbreon (Stage 1, 90 HP) hits for 80 with Moonlit Raid when your opponent’s Active Pokémon is a Basic. That covers Basic ex attackers like Suicune ex, Entei ex, Pikachu ex and Giratina ex. Hydreigon’s Roar in Unison attaches 2 Darkness Energy from your Energy Zone, and Hyper Ray hits 130. Deceptive Needle chips 10 a turn. It won The Dark League’s 55-player evening pop-up.
Mega Manectric ex / Heliolisk
This is the best performer by win rate (61.1%), but it’s only 8 lists, so the sample is tiny. Mega Manectric ex’s Lightning Accelerator does 80 plus 30 for each point you have. Heliolisk spreads 10 damage across the Bench. It won The Dark League’s 68-player pop-up.
What about Mega Mewtwo X ex and Pikachu ex?
The two cards on Dual Fusion’s booster packs aren’t winning yet. Mega Mewtwo X ex (Basic, 180 HP, Dual Impact 100 or 140 with a Stadium in play) paired with Mew ex went 28-30-2 with no top-8s. Players build it as a Fighting attacker: every list runs Korrina (+30 damage to an opponent’s Active ex for Fighting Pokémon that turn) and Arena of Antiquity (+20 for Fighting attacks against an ex), and most add two Peculiar Plaza as a second Stadium. Its Darkness Weakness and the 3 points it gives up when Knocked Out are a problem in a field with Umbreon and Hydreigon. Pikachu ex / Pawmot is the fourth most-played archetype at 5%. Pawmot’s Electrocreation attaches an extra Lightning Energy to your Active Lightning Pokémon each turn, and every list runs two Light Ball (+30 damage for Pikachu ex). It still sits at 45%, with two top-8s.
Free decks: Dual Fusion rental decks and the Mega Rayquaza ex elite deck
You don’t need a full collection to try the meta. According to Pokemon.com, six Dual Fusion rental decks are available until December 15, 2026, 5:59 p.m. PST (December 16, 01:59 UTC), and the Producer Letter says they can now be used in Versus battles too. They are the Pikachu ex, Mega Mewtwo X ex, Mega Greninja ex, Mega Tyranitar ex, Honey Gather and Rabbit Jumping decks. A Dragon-type Mega Rayquaza ex elite deck goes to your Gifts. A Dragonair / Mega Rayquaza ex list finished third at the Dankest pop-up, so that free deck is worth a look.
