The fan wiki lists the event from October 14 to November 2, 2026, and Big Blue Bubble’s official Spooktacle Costume Contest closes at 11 AM Eastern on November 2. Until then you can still breed all three Punkleton variants, buy the 44 Spooktacle costumes and bake the two Halloween snacks.

When does Spooktacle 2026 end?
The wiki’s 2026 history lists Spooktacle as starting on October 14 and ending on November 2, 2026. That fits the recent pattern of a mid-October start and an early-November finish: 2024 ran October 16 to November 4, and 2025 ran October 15 to November 3. Big Blue Bubble hasn’t put the exact end time in any text post we could read. Its October 2026 Lookahead video covers the month, and the timer on the event banner in the game has the final say.
The one official 2026 Spooktacle deadline in writing is the costume contest’s, on November 2. Here’s what that means in your time zone. US daylight saving time ends on November 1, so Eastern Time is UTC-5 by then.

A note on that second row: the contest page says “11 AM ET”, but the rules section further down says “11:00 EDT”. EDT ends on November 1, so the two times are an hour apart. Post your entry before 15:00 UTC on November 2 and it’s on time either way. The rules also give the start date as “September 30, 2024”, which looks like a leftover typo. The FAQ on the same page says the contest opened on September 30, 2026.
How to breed Punkleton, Rare Punkleton and Epic Punkleton
All three Punkleton variants are Spooktacle seasonals. On October 31 the wiki’s live availability tracker listed Punkleton, Rare Punkleton and Epic Punkleton as breedable and buyable. Timers and combos come from the wiki’s breeding data. “Enhanced” is the timer in an Enhanced Breeding Structure, which cuts every breeding time by 25%.

Some practical points:
- Bowgart + T-Rox is a gamble. The wiki notes it can also give Rare Toe Jammer or Rare Mammott when those are available, and both are on the live availability tracker right now. Seasonal breeding is never guaranteed, so a failed attempt usually returns a parent or another monster.
- Start long timers first. Epic Punkleton needs over 31 hours in a normal Breeding Structure, so with about two days left you have only one or two tries. Start the Entbrat + Drumpler pairing first and use your second breeding structure for Punkleton tries.
- Breeding on Seasonal Shanty. A Punkleton plus any Auxiliary Seasonal can give another Punkleton or a Rare Punkleton. The wiki calls Punkleton + Monculus the best pairing because it has the shortest timer if it fails. On the Shanty, Epic Punkleton comes from Schmoochle + Blabbit.
- Punkletons stay. Monsters you breed or buy during Spooktacle stay on your island after the event unless you sell them.

What Epic Punkleton likes
All four of Epic Punkleton’s likes are Spooktacle decorations you can only buy during the event: Inverdigus Cemetery, Creepy Cauldron, Smunk-o-Lantern Patch and Frightful Fripperies. If you plan to keep an Epic Punkleton happy, buy those before November 2. Common Punkleton likes Shrubb, Tree Forte Tower, Smunkin Patch and Beeyoot Tree, plus Hoola on Seasonal Shanty.

The cheapest full set is the seven Dipster toppers at 70 Diamonds in total. The Plant Island regulars (Potbelly, Noggin, Mammott, Shrubb, Oaktopus, Furcorn, Fwog, Drumpler and Maw) cost 20 each, or 180 for all nine.
The new Punkleton costumes: according to the Punkleton pages on the wiki, Squashetor comes with the Bronze Spooktacle pack, Demogourdon with the Silver pack and Cucurbit Carver with the Gold pack (or the All Packs bundle). Each costs 50 Diamonds once you own its pack. The pack prices weren’t listed anywhere we could check, so look in the in-game Market. The official update 5.7.4 notes on the App Store mention “NEW Monsters & Costumes” without naming them.

New monsters around Spooktacle 2026
This year’s Spooktacle didn’t add a new Punkleton variant. The wiki’s 2026 history lists these additions around the event:
- Epic Larvaluss (Magical Sanctum): added in update 5.7.2 on October 7 and first made available on October 14. Its combo is Mushaboom + Déjà-Jin (1d 20h 22m, 3 beds). It wasn’t on the wiki’s live availability tracker at 01:45 UTC on October 31, so check the Magical Sanctum market before you try.
- Beat Hereafter (from October 28): Big Blue Bubble’s update 5.7.4 post announced Clavavera, available to buy or breed at Level 9 on Bone Island and Seasonal Shanty for a limited time, plus 10 Beat Hereafter costumes. Viveine and its Rare and Epic forms are on the availability tracker as well. Punkleton + Schmoochle is one of Clavavera’s listed combos, next to Withur + Clackula.
- Dawn of Fire: the wiki lists the fourth Spooktacle Junior in My Singing Monsters: Dawn of Fire, also from October 14.
How to enter the Spooktacle Costume Contest 2026
This is a real-life costume contest, not an in-game one. From Big Blue Bubble’s official rules:
- Make your own costume of any My Singing Monsters monster and take a photo or video of it.
- Post it on TikTok, Reddit, X, Instagram, Bluesky or YouTube with the hashtag #MSMSpooktacle2026 before the deadline above.
- Optionally, share the link in the #Spooktacle-Costume-Contest channel of the official My Singing Monsters Discord so the Monster-Handlers see it.
- One entry per person. Entrants under 13 need a parent or guardian to submit for them. The rules ban generative AI tools, so entries must be your own work.
Entries are grouped by the class of the monster (Natural, Fire, Legendary, Mythical and so on). After November 2, members of the My Singing Monsters Curator Club and their communities help choose a winner in each class. The community then votes on one grand prize winner. Class winners get in-game currency and a place in a “Spooktacle Costume Montage” video on the official YouTube channel. The grand prize winner also gets a swag bag and designs a real in-game costume with the Monster-Handlers. Big Blue Bubble also posted a contest details video.
