The free MW4 Double XP token offer from Activision ends on Monday, October 26 at 10 AM PT (17:00 UTC). That is 1 PM ET, 5 PM in the UK and 6 PM in Paris and Berlin. To claim it, the official @CallofDuty post says to post or reply on X with your Activision ID, a tag of @CallofDuty and the phrase “MW4 2XP” before that deadline.
One thing to know first: this is a token giveaway, not a game-wide Double XP weekend. Activision has not announced a 2XP event where everyone levels faster automatically. If you don’t send the post, you don’t get the token.

Activision gives the deadline as “10/26 at 10 AM PT”. Europe moved its clocks back on October 25, so the UK and EU times are one hour earlier than they were during launch week.

How to claim the free MW4 Double XP token
Call of Duty posted the offer on October 24 at 20:00 UTC, the day after the October 23 worldwide launch. The steps, from that post:
- Sign in to X (formerly Twitter).
- Write a new post, or reply to the @CallofDuty Double XP post.
- Include your Activision ID (ATVI ID). Copy it exactly as it appears on your Activision account, including the number tag.
- Tag @CallofDuty. A reply to their post already includes the tag.
- Add the phrase “MW4 2XP”. Game Rant notes it is a plain phrase, not a hashtag.
- Send it before 10 AM PT on October 26.
Two caveats. Your Activision ID will be public in that post, so anyone can see it and send you friend requests. And Activision has not said how long the token lasts or when it arrives in your account. By Sunday afternoon the post had about 4,900 replies and 288,000 views.
What gets doubled
Activision’s post just says “Jump in with 2XP”. It doesn’t say whether you get a player-level token, a weapon token or both. MW4 has separate Double XP and Double Weapon XP tokens. If you want to go further:
- Player XP gets you to the level cap and Prestige sooner.
- Weapon XP unlocks attachments for the current meta builds.
Game Rant reports that MW4 tokens only tick down while you’re in a match, not in menus or lobbies, so leaving one active between matches doesn’t waste it.

Other free ways to get Double XP in MW4
- Discord linking: Activision’s launch post says players who linked Discord during the beta and link again at launch get 1 hour of Double XP and 1 hour of Double Weapon XP, plus a calling card.
- Campaign rewards: Game Rant reports the 16 campaign missions award three Double XP tokens and two Double Weapon XP tokens in total. You can use them in Multiplayer and DMZ.
- Monster Energy (purchase required): the Activision support page says each can tab code gives a 2XP code. You can redeem one per account per day, codes must be used by April 30, 2027, and you can use at most one hour of each token type per day.
