Sucker Punch has already updated Ghost of Tsushima for PlayStation 5, and Dave Molloy added this to his Linkedin Profile after they updated it to the enhanced version on PlayStation 5, So this is most likely a completely new game. Sucker Punch also opened up Job Listings previously, which hinted at a Ghost of Tsushima Sequel.

Ghost of Tsushima was Sucker Punch’s most successful game and one of the best-selling games of 2020, so it makes sense why they have already started working on a sequel for it. I hope Ghost of Tsushima’s sequel improves in terms of Stealth, Mission Design, and Enemy AI. Those things kind of ruined my previous playthrough along with the broken camera, but they thankfully patched it later. I also hope that it improves in terms of Story and writing because the main story was kind of boring to me until the middle of Act 2. If they improved these things and added better facial animations, the Ghost of Tsushima Sequel would be perfect for me.
