Updated November 2, 2026: Rewritten for BitLife 3.26 (App Store, October 22, 2026). The money methods below are checked against Candywriter’s official FAQ and update notes, the BitLife wiki and the current App Store listing. Vague tips from the 2023 version are gone, and there is a new table of every wealth achievement and ribbon.
The quickest way to get rich in BitLife is to be born a royal and hand the fortune down through generations. If chance won’t give you a throne, stack money the slow way: a high-paying career, a business you build or buy, houses that gain value, and a will that leaves everything to one heir. The wiki’s Billionaire achievement entry names royalty in Saudi Arabia or Monaco as the easiest route to $1 billion.

Quick answer: how to get rich in BitLife fast
- Fastest: become a royal (born into it, or set the rank with God Mode) in a monarchy country, then keep your Respect up so you are never dethroned.
- Most reliable without luck: run a company from the Business section of Special Careers (Startup or Acquire), then sell it or pass it to your heir.
- Long-term: buy expensive, good-condition houses and keep them in the family. Real estate is the only asset type the wiki says can make a profit.
- Multiply it: leave your whole estate to one heir in your Will, live somewhere with no estate tax (the wiki points to Monaco), and repeat for every generation.
- Skip: the lottery and the casino. Candywriter’s own FAQ says the lottery is hard to win.

BitLife wealth achievements and ribbons (net worth targets)
These are the money milestones the game tracks, according to the BitLife wiki’s Achievements and Ribbons pages. Achievements unlock during a life. Ribbons are awarded when a character dies, based on their final net worth. The wiki notes that rare heirlooms count toward your total even if you never sell them.
| Goal | Type | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Millionaire | Achievement | $1 million |
| My Second Million | Achievement | $2 million net worth |
| Rich | Ribbon | Net worth of $2.5 million up to $20 million at death |
| Multimillionaire | Achievement | $10 million net worth |
| Rich | Achievement | $20 million net worth |
| Loaded | Ribbon | Net worth over $20 million at death |
| Super Rich | Achievement | $50 million net worth |
| Stinking Rich | Achievement | $100 million net worth |
| Billionaire | Achievement | $1 billion net worth (the wiki says royalty in Saudi Arabia or Monaco is easiest) |
| Trillionaire | Achievement | $1 trillion bank balance (a royal family kept going for many generations) |
| Zillionaire | Achievement | 1 quadrillion (same route, many more generations) |
Three more ribbons are about money: Monopoly (big profits from flipping houses), Gold Digger (“get rich by marrying rich”: the wiki says you need more than 1.5 million from a spouse through divorce or widowhood, and you must never have had a job), and Big Boss (finish a corporate career on top with a net worth above $20 million). If you’re chasing the Rich ribbon, stop at $20 million. Above that you get Loaded instead.
How to become a billionaire in BitLife: royalty
Royalty is the route the wiki recommends for $1 billion, because royals start with family wealth, and a royal line kept going for many generations is also the wiki’s route to Trillionaire. According to the wiki’s Royalty page, monarchies exist in Belgium, Denmark, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Monaco, Morocco, the Netherlands, Norway, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, the UAE and the United Kingdom.
- Getting the title: being born royal is down to luck. God Mode ($9.99 on the US App Store) lets you pick a royal rank when you create a character. You can also date and marry a royal, but the wiki calls that hard and chance-based.
- Rank matters in Europe: European nobles run from Baron/Baroness up to Duke/Duchess, and Prince/Princess sits at the top. Lower ranks start with less money, and only a Prince or Princess can take the throne.
- Protect your Respect: if Respect drops to 0%, the public can overthrow you, and you lose your fortune. Executions drain Respect fast. Public service, good laws, marriage and royal children raise it. The wiki says royals can’t be dethroned in Japan or Saudi Arabia.
- Don’t abdicate by accident: abdicating keeps your money but gives up the royal estate.
Get rich with inheritance and generations
Most big BitLife fortunes are built over several lives, not one. When you continue as your child, they inherit your money and assets, so every generation starts further ahead.
- Write a Will: Will & Testament lets you leave everything to one heir instead of dividing it evenly. The wiki says that if no eligible heir is left, the money goes to charity.
- Mind the heir’s age: if your heir is under 18, their inherited houses and cars are auctioned off. They keep the proceeds, but they lose any property that would have kept gaining value.
- Stay close to your parents: NPC parents only leave you money if your relationship with them was good, and parents with a low Money stat may leave nothing (wiki Inheritance and Will pages).
- Pick your country: the wiki’s Money tips point to Monaco (no income tax, no estate tax) and warn that many European countries, the Scandinavian ones especially, take a big estate tax.
- Bitizenship: Candywriter’s FAQ lists unlimited generations as a Bitizenship perk ($7.99 to $9.99 on the US App Store). The wiki says free players are limited to two generations, which caps how far a family fortune can grow.

Best careers to get rich in BitLife
In Candywriter’s words, career success in BitLife is “modeled after real life”: the right stats, experience and education, plus hard work. The wiki’s Jobs page sorts high earners into two groups. Acting and composing pay off suddenly after a “breakthrough”. Doctor and CEO salaries climb gradually.
- Medicine and law: doctors, surgeons, lawyers and judges need graduate school, but they pay steadily for decades. See our lawyer and judge guide.
- Fame careers: actors, singers, models and influencers can earn millions once they get famous. The wiki’s Assets page suggests playing an actor for a generation or two to build cash. Actor is a paid Job Pack (Boss Mode, $20.99 on the US App Store, unlocks every Job Pack). Social media influencing is free, and Twitch monetization came free to all players in version 3.8. - Corporate: go to Business School, climb a corporate ladder and work hard every year. It’s slow, but it leads to the Big Boss ribbon and can end with a CEO offer.
Start or buy a business
The Business Update (version 3.3, September 2022) made running a company one of BitLife’s main money engines. It has 25 industries, lets you acquire existing businesses, and lets you sell your company to the highest bidder. Candywriter’s FAQ lists three ways to become a CEO: tap Startup or Acquire in the Business section of the Special Careers menu, or earn a CEO offer at an existing company. Its official tips:
- Pick an industry with high demand and low competition.
- Shop around for new suppliers each year to cut costs or raise quality.
- Read your End-of-Year Report, and don’t underestimate marketing.
- Once the business is stable, open a new shop or factory first, then add a new product.
- Pull or rebrand products that stop making money.
Version 3.4 added venture funding, so a startup needs less of your own cash, and business inheritance, so the company can stay in the family for generations. Version 3.4 also added a “cook the books” option. It’s an in-game risk, not a shortcut worth building on.
Real estate: buy, hold and flip houses
- Buy high-value, good-quality homes: the wiki’s investing notes say pricier houses gain more value each year, and good quality means fewer renovations. Renovating raises your yearly upkeep.
- Watch the upkeep: you pay the monthly cost even on a house you bought with cash, and so does your heir once they inherit it.
- Flip haunted houses: the wiki’s Monopoly ribbon tip is to buy haunted houses, exorcise them as an exorcist and sell them as regular homes, which are worth more.
- Avoid jewelry as savings: it loses value every year, even if you maintain it.
- Landlord Expansion Pack ($7.99): lets you rent homes to tenants and add amenities that raise a property’s value (the wiki lists a sauna at +5% and a swimming pool at +4%).
Stocks and investing
The Stock Market Update (version 3.7, December 2022) added stocks, crypto, bonds, penny stocks and funds. It also added a financial advisor you can hire and fire, and Financial News headlines that hint at where prices are going. Candywriter’s notes also suggest selling everything if you’re worried about a crash. The US App Store lists an Investor Expansion Pack ($7.99). In version 3.8.6, Candywriter bundled it with the Business Update content and the Landlord pack as the Billionaire’s Bundle, so some money features may need a purchase on your device. The in-game Marketplace shows what you own. The stock market’s “insider trading” option is an in-game crime with in-game consequences.
What doesn’t work (or costs real money)
- Lottery and casino: Candywriter’s FAQ says the lottery is “hard to win”. Treat gambling as a way to lose money, not a plan.
- Golden Piggy Bank: a paid Marketplace item that starts a life with a $1,000,000 bank balance (wiki Updates page). It’s a head start, not a billion.
- Hacks, mod APKs and “money glitches”: skip them. Modified apps can carry malware, and they’re not BitLife.

FAQ
What is the fastest way to get rich in BitLife?
Royalty. A royal in a monarchy like Saudi Arabia or Monaco starts with family wealth, and the wiki names it as the easiest route to the Billionaire achievement. Without a royal birth, a well-run business is the most dependable way to make millions.
How do you get the Rich ribbon in BitLife?
Die with a net worth between $2.5 million and $20 million. Anything above $20 million earns the Loaded ribbon instead, according to the BitLife wiki.
Can you become a billionaire in BitLife without paying?
Yes, but it’s slower. The Billionaire achievement doesn’t require a purchase, according to the wiki. Free players are limited to two generations, though, and God Mode, Job Packs like Actor, and the Investor and Landlord packs cost money.
Does BitLife have a stock market?
Yes. The Stock Market Update (version 3.7, December 2022) added stocks, crypto, bonds, penny stocks and funds, plus a financial advisor and Financial News headlines.
Is there a money cheat or glitch in BitLife?
No safe one. BitLife has no cheat codes. Modded apps aren’t official, and the only official shortcuts are paid items like the Golden Piggy Bank and God Mode.
