Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Dirt 5 aren’t coming to Xbox Game Pass despite the Newsletter

Final Fantasy 12 pulled from Xbox Game Pass in Japan a day after it was added

Because of the recent newsletter emails from Xbox, which had images of Dirt 5 and Assassin’s Creed near the Xbox Game Pass Section, many people got confused if these games are coming to Xbox Game Pass, and we are sorry to tell you that they might not come to Xbox Game Pass anytime soon.

We reached out to both Ubisoft and Codemasters. Ubisoft’s Head of Communications refused to comment on this situation and asked us to contact Xbox. Codemasters’ PR Head told us that the games are related to the text “Games optimized for Xbox Series X|S.”

We have also reached out to Xbox regarding this situation. We will let you know if they reply with a statement.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is releasing on November 10th, which is the same day as the Xbox Series X release date, so this means that they might have been referencing the images to the “Games optimized for Xbox Series S|X.”

Update: Major Nelson from Xbox has commented on this situation

With the PlayStation®5, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will take full advantage of the enhanced graphics, giving players the opportunity to experience the open world of Norway and England down to the very last detail. On PlayStation®5, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will run at 60 FPS in 4K resolution.

We hope that this clears any problems regarding the confusing emails from Xbox. If you have been out of the loop, we would also like to inform you that Xbox has purchased Zenimax/Bethesda.
