Marvel’s Wolverine topped US/Canada PS5 downloads in September 2026 and FC 27 led the EU. Here are the full PS5, PS4, PS VR2 and free-to-play charts.

Marvel’s Wolverine was the most downloaded PS5 game on PlayStation Store in the US and Canada in September 2026, with EA Sports FC 27 in second. In Europe the order flipped: FC 27 took #1 and Wolverine #2. Sony published the full charts on the PlayStation Blog on October 22 at 13:00 UTC.

Sony lists four charts (PS5, PS4, PS VR2, free-to-play), each split into US/Canada and EU. The PS5 chart excludes upgrades, and PS VR2 counts only PlayStation Store purchases, not hardware bundles.

What stands out on the September chart

  • Wolverine’s launch month. Insomniac’s PS5 exclusive came out on September 15, according to its PlayStation Store page, and topped the US/Canada chart in its first month.
  • September’s new releases took over the top 10. The Blood of Dawnwalker (out September 3; #5 US, #3 EU), Onimusha: Way of the Sword (September 4; #7 in both regions), Halloween (September 8; #4 in both) and Control Resonant (September 24; #8 US, #10 EU) all made it. Remedy had already said Control Resonant passed one million sales faster than any of its games.
  • Late arrivals still charted. Silent Hill: Townfall (September 24) landed at #15 US and #14 EU, and Minecraft Dungeons II, out September 29, placed #16 in both regions with only two days of sales in the month.
  • GTA V hangs on. Rockstar’s 2013 game was #5 on PS5 in Europe and #14 in the US.
  • Sports split by region. NBA 2K27, Madden NFL 27, NHL 27 and College Football 27 all made the US/Canada top 10. Europe’s top 10 had only FC 27 and NBA 2K27.
