The Phantom Blade Zero trophy list has 36 trophies on PS5, platinum included, according to PowerPyx’s trophy guide. The official Steam achievement list has 66. Seven of the PS5 trophies are missable, and all seven are tied to side quests (Tales) or the true ending. Difficulty doesn’t matter, so one run on Wayfarer, the easiest setting, gets you everything.
Below is the full list with Steam’s global unlock rates, the missable ones in the order they lock, and a platinum roadmap. Story and boss achievement names are hidden behind spoiler labels, and nothing here describes the endings.

Quick answer
- Totals: 66 Steam achievements. PowerPyx lists 36 PS5 trophies (1 platinum, 3 gold, 14 silver, 18 bronze). Every PS5 trophy is also on Steam, and Steam adds 30 more.
- Platinum / 100%: Defy Destiny, “Unlock all other achievements”. There’s no DLC in the list.
- Missable: 7 trophies. Five come from side quests that start in the first three regions, one is the long Shadow Warden Tale and one is the true ending.
- Difficulty: no difficulty trophies. Director Qiwei Liang says everything unlocks on any of the first three difficulties, Wayfarer included (Push Square).
- Playthroughs: one. You get free roam after the credits, and New Game+ if you want it.
- Time and difficulty: PowerPyx estimates 30-40 hours and rates it 4/10 on Easy (6/10 on Normal).
- Steam-only catch: one weapon achievement, Delayed Blast, needs the Fiend Saws. That weapon is a missable boss reward in Village of Lu.

Phantom Blade Zero trophies vs Steam achievements: how many?
The two lists differ by a lot. We built the Steam column from the official page and Steam’s global stats API. The PS5 column is from PowerPyx, which lists each trophy with its grade. PSNProfiles and Exophase blocked our requests on October 29, so we haven’t confirmed the PS5 count with a second tracker yet.

The 30 Steam-only achievements fall into four groups:
- 11 story progress achievements for reaching or leaving areas.
- 2 collectible achievements: 10 Sha-Chi Ambers and 10 Blackstones.
- 16 weapon and combat technique achievements (the table further down).
- 1 boss rematch achievement.
So a PS5 player can ignore the weapon gimmicks entirely. A Steam 100% needs every one of them, plus all the Amber and Blackstone shards (more on that below).
Missable trophies and achievements
PowerPyx flags seven missable trophies. The first six match the fail points in our Phantom Blade Zero side quests guide, which was built from PowerPyx, Maxroll, PC Gamer and GamesRadar. The guides disagree in one place: Maxroll says Apprentice Healer fails when you ring the Crane Bell at the Thieves’ Camp, not at the Jing Ye fight PowerPyx gives. Plan around whichever comes first.

The safe rule from both guides: finish every Tale in a region before you fight its last boss. Also keep a manual save at the start and end of each region. The game has 20 manual slots plus 3 rotating autosaves, so a failed Tale (marked red as “failed” in the Journal) costs you a reload, not a second playthrough.
Steam only: the Fiend Saws drop from Village of Lu’s final boss only if you finish the Young Mistress Tale before you ride the elevator up to that fight, per PowerPyx’s region guide. Without the saws you can’t get Delayed Blast until New Game+. Our Phantom Blade Zero bosses list marks that fight and the other bosses that close off Tales.

Lost and Found asks for every treasure Quick Hand Zhang wants: 3 in Crimson Forest, 3 in Village of Lu, 4 in Pangzhen, 4 in Meigu Lake and 3 in Mirage Estate, per PowerPyx. In the Banyan challenges, PowerPyx says you restart at the wave where you died, boss rematch included.

The Amber and Blackstone counts are PowerPyx’s own tallies from its collectibles guide (40 of each kind of shard, plus 129 Memory Flower petals and 43 Tempering Materials). All 16 are missing from PowerPyx’s PS5 list. Most come down to equipping the right weapon and using its signature move once. Sources are from PowerPyx’s region guides. Late-game sources are kept vague.

For Master of the Misty Waters, PowerPyx says You Loong also appears in Pangzhen, but only the Meigu Lake fight counts. Yucong, one of the Four Great Puppets, starts the Triple Threat Tale early on but can’t be finished until Mirage Estate. Zhu Yuan and Bi Feng are optional and also required for the true ending.
How to get the Phantom Blade Zero platinum (and Steam 100%)
This is PowerPyx’s roadmap, cut down, with the Steam extras added.
- Pick any difficulty from the first three. Wayfarer is fine. Sixty-Six Days Mode, which unlocks after one clear and ends your run at 66 deaths, isn’t needed. If you’re new to the combat, our Phantom Blade Zero beginner’s guide covers the basics.
- Play to Mirage Estate and clear every Tale before you leave each region. Talk to every NPC, save manually at each region’s start and end, and check the Journal for red “failed” quests after each boss. On Steam, finish Young Mistress before Village of Lu’s last boss so the Fiend Saws drop.
- Before entering Mirage Estate, finish the true-ending quests. That’s every purple-icon quest in the story menu, ten in total. The game warns you if any are open. Our side quests guide lists them by name.
- After Mirage Estate, finish Bloodline Awakening. These are the five Long Pillar fights, which you can do in any order.
- Beat the game. The Last Chance bell in Mount Soulrend always warns you, because you can’t leave the final area until the ending plays.
- Clean up in free roam. After the credits you can go back everywhere for collectibles, upgrades, tempering, Quick Hand’s treasures and Banyan challenges. Missed missable Tales can’t be fixed here. They need an old save or New Game+.
- Steam extras: use each signature weapon move once, collect all Amber and Blackstone shards, and earn the hidden boss-rematch achievement.

Rarest Phantom Blade Zero achievements so far
Eighteen hours in, Steam’s numbers mostly show how far players have got. 89% have the first achievement and 61.8% have beaten the first major boss. Only 4.7% have finished Crimson Forest and 0.4% have reached Pangzhen. Among skills, Chain Assassination (68.3%) and Jagged Steel’s bleed (61.9%) are the common early unlocks. Iron Gauntlets’ Masterstroke Fist is at 1.3%, even though the gauntlets are a story reward in the second region. These rates will climb quickly over the first week, so we’ll recheck them.
FAQ
Is the Phantom Blade Zero platinum hard?
Not by trophy standards. PowerPyx rates it 4/10 on the easiest difficulty and 6/10 on Normal, and nothing requires the hardest modes. The hard part is tracking the missable Tales. The bosses aren’t the problem.
Can you get every trophy in one playthrough?
Yes. Director Qiwei Liang said so before launch (via Push Square), and PowerPyx’s guide confirms a minimum of one playthrough. The true ending is the only ending tied to an achievement.
Does difficulty affect trophies in Phantom Blade Zero?
No. According to Liang, all achievements unlock on any of the first three difficulties, including Wayfarer.
Are there online trophies?
No. PowerPyx lists zero online trophies.
What happens if I miss a missable trophy?
Reload a manual save from before the cutoff, or pick it up in New Game+. The game keeps 20 manual saves and 3 autosaves, according to PowerPyx.
